I purchased a Mustang Mach-E from Philpott Ford, negotiated entirely over phone and email. I had someone drop me off at the dealership so I could drive it straight to Louisiana. The vehicle was advertised with an upgraded package that included a mobile charger--something I confirmed with the salesperson, Jacob, as it was essential for my trip. After signing paperwork, I was told the car was charged--but there was no mobile charger in the vehicle. I was told it would be shipped within 4 days. It wasn't. When I followed up, I learned it hadn't been shipped at all. I explained the inconvenience and asked for compensation for public charging fees, which totaled over $260. Eventually, they sent a charger--but it was the wrong one. Then they sent another to the wrong city. I was asked to drive an hour and a half back to pick it up myself. I submitted receipts as requested, but neither Jacob nor the General Sales Manager, Mike, followed up. I had to chase them down every time. The car also came with a free home install of the Ford Charge Station Pro. The dealership had no idea how to initiate this. I had to contact the install company myself--only to find they'd entered the wrong email, so I wasn't getting communication. Multiple calls later, I finally got it straightened out. Again, no help from the dealership. It has now been 111 days since I bought the car, and the experience has been full of broken promises and poor communication. If you buy from Philpott Ford, get everything in writing. But honestly, I'd recommend choosing a dealership that actually supports their customers after the sale. read more

This place does not value your time maybe just your money. I was selling my car and Alan Parsons called me saying he wanted it. We set up a date and time for me to come bring it in for him to look at it. The whole process took over a hour. I had to wait for him to come to me for longer than a while. At first he acted as if he wanted to discuss the transaction in the lobby for everyone to hear our conversation. I had to request to go to his office. He claimed they were taking time to put my information in their system but I heard them laughing and socializing in the background. Basically he was trying to low ball me and buy my car for less than it was worth. Even after the meeting we communicated by text and by that time I had already sold my car higher than he offered. He was coercing me and saying the vehicle market was about the crash, and he had a customer who wanted to buy it for her son. Basically forcing me to sell my car to them. I've contemplated for several days whether I should leave a review. After careful consideration and deep thought about the way I was treated, I knew I had to. Where do I even start? That's a big question. Three months ago, I dropped off my 2022 F-150 to have some service work done. They discovered a small issue in the transmission that needed to be fixed, along with an exhaust issue. It sounded like an easy job that could be completed in a timely manner --especially considering all parts were in stock and not on backorder. Weeks went by. I would call and get the same story from the service manager every time. The excuses were unprofessional and always centered around the same explanation: their shop foreman, a former employee, had left them in chaos. I never heard anything that made me feel like my truck was getting closer to completion. For months, my service advisor, Heather, was nonexistent. Toward the end, I naturally started to show some frustration on the phone, though I remained calm and supportive during ourconversations. The last phone call I had with her was on a Thursday around noon. I asked her one simple question: was my truck even on the rack being worked on at that moment? She couldn't answer and said she would call me back. Thursday passed. Then Friday. Then Saturday. Then Monday. No call back. At that point, I had had enough of the charades, excuses, and lack of communication. I drove up there from Beaumont and walked into the shop. An employee asked if I needed help, and I replied that I just wanted to see if my truck was actually being worked on after three months, because I couldn't get anyone to answer the f***ing phone. That one cuss word seemed to create chaos. Heather suddenly decided to act tough and said she would call the police. All I wanted was a simple answer on Thursday. Instead, I was chastised and asked whether I even knew how to work on a transmission, if I had ever taken one apart, and reminded that "things take time." Just more excuses. With all that being said, my truck was finally finished. I'd like to add that l've bought five vehicles from this dealership and have had all of them serviced there over the years. This experience marks the end of that relationship. I will never do business with this dealership again --whether in sales or service. Made mobile appointment for Ford truck. Received email verifying 4pm appointment for next day. Called Cheyenne to verify cost and appt. Left voicemail never got a return call. Day of appt. Waited til 4.45 before i called since tech had not shown up yet. Kathy said on phone could not reach anyone so just keep waiting and she would call back when she get any info. Tech never showed up and never received a call day of appt. Next day called spoke to Kathy she stated they had a customer day and one of the vans was there for display. And all appointments should have been canceled. But they didnt they just told me he was backed up keep waiting. Took off work early wasted time. I bought a 2017 ford explorer and had no problems with it. Took the car to have oil changed before I had it a year and was told it had small oil leak. Then two oil leaks to oil pump burned up. While it had at the shop somehow burned up the motor to now needing a new transmission. Remind you, I did not have the car a year yet and I bought it threw Philpott Ford. I was told it just happened all at once coincident. I don't believe in coincident. They been working on my car over 3 months now. How can a car go from no problems just oil change to, burned up oil pump to burned up motor to needing new transmission? read more

We recently bought a vehicle from Philpott Ford with warranty. We drove the vehical only three or four times before the the clutch started giving us problems. Only part of the fix was covered under the warranty, others were not. The dealership wanted 3k to fix the remaining issue, an issue that the shop should of fixed before listing the vehicle for sale. This problem could of been avoided if the dealership took its time and did a thorough inspection of the vehicle. I wonder how many other faulty vehicals were sold with high price tags? At the moment, we will never buy another vehicle from Philpot Ford and are advising our friends and coworkers to stay away due to terrible business practice. For the second time PHILPOTT ford In Nederland has accepted my service date, sent me reminders all week long to call me the evening before to say sorry we're backed up. all I want them to do is check my transmission issue Iam having on my truck that has low miles, I know their aware of the transmission problems with ford, so you would think they would keep your appointment to keep ford buyers happy with known issues. This is not the same dealership it was 10 years ago. I have always brought it here for service everytime. I guess I need to re-think about getting a chevey truck. We are Customers For LIFE Philpott Motors, by far, is heads and shoulders above the rest when it comes to customer service. We'd bought a relatively new car (2016 Fusion) for our college-aged son, after TS Harvey from another large dealership in the area. We had nothing but problems with it; and while it was still under factory warranty, the other dealership (in Beaumont, but not Kinsel) was not much help. We took the car to Philpott. Chip, Stacey, Kendall and the entire staff were so helpful in every manner. The Fusion was there for a pretty long time, Kendall made sure that we always had a loaner that accommodated our family. Chip and Stacey did a phenomenal job on keeping us informed of the progress with the repairs and ensuring we received stellar services. After getting the car back, we'd decided that we had heard too many horror stories about 2015/16 Fusions and that we would buy something else, regardless. We worked with Mark Bowden to find our son the perfect car. He did not rush us at all, while we maintained social distances due to the COVID 19 pandemic. He literally shared their inventory with us and he and Chris Hoffpauir , of Sonic appraisal, were so transparent with information regarding our trade-in value; which was Very nice. In the end, our son now has a beautiful 2019 Kia Optima, with the remaining portion of it's power-train warranty. Additionally, throughout our visits, we were greeted by General Manager, Bob Thewman, who was never too busy to be very personable to us. This is the fourth vehicle that we've bought at Philpott. I thought through the purchase of a Prius and called Monday. Mark Fiorenza was my salesman and blew me out of the water with his sense of urgency to make sure I got every detail I needed. From financing with Jonathan to interior changes, Mark was right along side make sure I knew and understood all we were doing. Made an appointment for oil change and tire rotation. I arrived at my appointment time 10:30 but my car sat where I parked until 11:30. Finally got my car back at 12:08. Tires where not properly inflated,no fluid in window wash, did not look like anything was serviced. Just changed oil and moved tires around. On sat afternoon I saw the car in car guru I contacted through them I got a text and a email immediately I expressed my interest and asked if was negotiable, once again NO RESPONSE. I texted the salesman (Ableson) and called his office once again no response, how professional right? Obvious they don't need to sell a vehicle these people can't return a call PERIOD. Slightly pissed So my grand parents bought a new car and ask me to drive it back to the dealer to get the plates put on and get the second key for them. I get to the dealership the sales rep hands me the plates and a screw driver and tells me to put them on so he could help a customer that came in 15 minuets after I was already here then he got mad at me for getting pissed off. Joe Mace is the worst sales rep and the manager is no better wouldn't even look up from his cell phone to speak to me. read more

We contacted Philpott Ford in mid May out of interest in a 2013 pink Chevy Spark found on the internet website AutoTrader. The sales woman who we spoke to by the name of Sheryl Quave told us that she had personally been out driving the car that it was in fantastic shape and had no issues. Because my daughter wanted this particular make, model and color so much we decided to make the drive down two Nederland Texas to see it and make a deal. We actually put down a down payment on the vehicle. Once we arrived and looked over the vehicle we noticed several things immediately vehicle had quite a bit of hail damage and also had a cracked windshield, a headlight on the passenger side of the vehicle was broken and the front Grill was broken. She later told us she would be happy to buy the headlight assembly wholesale for us and then to have it drop shipped to Derby Kansas where we could install it ourselves. ( Again another broken promise! ) we requested that they come down on the price seeing that we had driven about 800 miles to get there. The general manager refused! At this point my daughter still wanted the vehicle so we took it for a test drive and it seem to drive fine. Once we got back to the parking lot Sheryl informed us that there was a recall on the vehicle for a purge valve/solenoid. And if the check engine light happened to come on we could simply take it to get it fixed at no cost because it was a recall item. Believing what she said we decided to go ahead and purchase the vehicle on the way home in Dallas when we refueled the check engine light came on the vehicle does not want to start after refueling it. Once we return back to Derby we called Cheryl and told her the check engine light did come on again she said that it would be covered under the recall. So I decided to call three different Chevy dealerships I gave them the VIN number the year and the make and model every one of them told me there was no recall for that car with that VIN number. I decided to call Cheryl again spoke to her about the issue she assured me it was a recall issue and that she would call me back later that day. ( I never heard from her ) So three days later I called her again. This time she tells me that if it's not a recall issue that at least it would be covered under the factory warranty. So I called around again only to find out that the factory bumper to bumper warranty expired in 2016! (Factory warranties are typically three years) and because it is not apart of the drivetrain it is not covered under the drivetrain warranty either. At this point we feel like we were lied to from the very beginning We Believe Sheryl Quave as well as the rest of the management at Philpott Motors ( Ford ) knew all along they were selling us a piece of junk. We fill that we have been tricked and we should never have been as trusting towards this sales woman or the company she represents! They will not return my calls at this point! So we are take intermediary measures that are sure to bring headaches to the management! We will continue to add pressure to this company to own up to the lies, trickery and burdensome grief that they put us through! Our next step will be due legal process! They Will respond! Took my car in to be serviced for the AC. Well they did not fix it the first time. I asked them to also look at an electrical issue with my door. They said it was fine, obviously it is not. I got the car back and a week later the AC is still not working. Took it back in. They called me to pick it up, again, and I asked about the electrical problem. Richard pretended like he didn't know what I was talking about and said I would have to make another appointment and bring it in again. Some of us have to work and can not take off once a week to have a car repaired. It's probably because I am a woman and they felt they could take advantage of me. All I can say is I will never use them again nor buy a car from them in the future. read more

I found the vehicle I wanted off the internet sales site I'd been looking at for over 6 months. I found the vehicle at Philpott. The process from beginning to end was simple and painless. I called about the vehicle I wanted, spoke with Carl the salesman, he took the ball and ran with it. He set up financing paperwork etc. Three hours after the initial contact he called and said everything was ready and could pick up the vehicle. We live 5 hours from the dealer, and had a trade-in as well. The pictures and information on the vehicle I was purchasing didn't hide any flaws. The vehicle was just as I'd expected and desired. If I could give less than 1 star I would. For a month and a half we have been battling with Philpott about repairs on 2 trucks that were purchased from them. We have been lied to over and over. Charged us mega bucks to do work that was either not done properly or did not fix the problem. Have damaged the body on both vehicles. Would keep vehicle for weeks and then we'd get them back with issues they didn't have before. William Singley the manager over the service department has an attitude. We had to take the truck to a friends Lube shop and the truck was a quart and a half low on oil and they had just charged us nearly $150 to change the oil as part of the $3800 repair bill. When the service manager was contacted about it he refused to make good. NOT A PHILPOTT FAN & DEFINITELY NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. Refuse to do business with them again. read more

My experience with Philpott has always been great until recently when I purchased a new car. My salesman Jarret Jenkinson was great and easy to work with. It's not the sales I had trouble with, it's the service. I had after market leather installed in my car a month after I purchased it. In the back seat there's an arm rest that folds down in the middle with cup holders in it. The latch that holds the arm rest up keeps popping off. I've brought it up to Philpott multiple times and they keep claiming that it's fixed and shouldn't happen again. When this issue happened again last week, I called them and let them know. Tuesday I recieved a rental car while they were supposedly fixing the issue. When I got there to pick my car up they kept reassuring me that it was fixed and that it shouldn't happen again, but the guy also kept adding in how he "didn't understand how it kept happening because it would keep happening in all of their cars". He also said they compared it to a new car and the new car didn't do it. A new car isn't going to be taken a part, upholstered with leather and then put back together. When I first bought my car, the latch was not messed up. It worked just fine. Yesterday when I brought my car back up there, the guy who was "helping" me was EXTREMELY rude and before I could even say anything, he let me know that they can replace the arm rest and have it upholstered one more time and then they would refuse to touch my car if it happened again. He said "it doesn't make sense as to how we fix it and mess with it and then you take it home and the next day it's broken". If that isn't TERRIBLE customer service, I don't know what is. I think the issue is that the glue holding the parts back together is melting in the sun. The whole car is still under FULL warranty plus the extended warranty that I purchased, I'm not sure how they can just tell me they will not touch it anymore. My family purchases just about EVERY car we ever buy from Philpott. After this, I don't think I would EVER buy a car from Philpott and I'm going to be sure to let everyone I know that the service is awful. read more
