Decided to check out Phillys Best since I was in the area. I love how meaty and full the subs are. Only problem...with all that meat the sub doesn't pack any flavor at all. Just bland steak. No salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, slap your mama etc.. the sub left me heavily disappointed. As far as the french fries go, I don't know how many times I need to say this, potatoes need salt! These fries tasted just as bad as Burger King fries. When I called the place, they told me they cannot fully refund me since I ate the wrap or if I need refund or new wrap, I need to bring back the old wrap so they can show their boss "as a proof that the sauce was not added to the wrap." So the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the customer service is great. I hope you get a break after this wild ass night, you know who you are! Thank you for your help. I know places have their very busy nights, but the food, which consisted of a wrap and some chicken bites, took nearly an hour and a half to travel 3.8 miles to my place. And when it finally got here, not only were there things missing but the quality of the food was just not good. The chicken bites were very hard and room temp, while the wrap was soggy and had very overcooked, cold meat. Despite the offer of a discount on the next order by the wonderful woman working the phones, I won't be ordering here again. Sometimes you get burned trying somewhere new, and this is definitely one of those times. To be fair, I should've known from my days of ordering from the horrid Baltimore location. We love their veggie and seafood pizzas, their wings, pastas, and subs. Today was the first time l picked up the office order and I was so pleased with the experience. They labeled all the containers which made it super easy to process separate payments and distribute everyone's orders. The lady at the counter taking orders and payments was so nice and helpful and gave us complimentary soft drinks to enjoy while we were waiting on a hot day. This is not a gourmet or frills and thrills location, but it is very clean with great affordable carry out / delivery food and a very kind and pleasant staff. We walked in and my daughter said "Dad, you know this hole in the wall is guna be good, right?" Since we moved to the area, I've been looking for a solid carry out place and Philly's Best has won my heart. Sometimes, it feels like the menu is so extensive it's impossible to choose what to get. BUT these are my go-to's: Subs: cheesesteak is stuffed with a great amount of meat and the bread is DELICIOUS! The only complaint though is that it is sometimes underseasoned. Fries: always underdone and soggy, but the quantity is huge so I don't mind crisping them up myself even a few hours after as a snack. Mozz sticks: order them, just order them. You know how sometimes when you get mozz sticks, the breading comes apart from the cheese? This isn't like that. This oozes and melts in your mouth with the breading. Pizza: my, oh my, my boyfriend and I always fight over the pizza even if we order the XX large! We usually stick with the cheese pizza and it's so good every time! I recently came to appreciate pizza more often after a series of mishaps with experimenting with my new pizza stone. This pizza is worth crawling out of bed for. Wings: I always order the hot, but they do offer "extra hot" and "nuclear hot" along with other varieties. They are extremely juicy and always fill my craving. We've tried both the carry out and the delivery. The delivery guy is always very friendly and usually the ladies at the counter are nice. TIP: check their menu or website for specials. Found this place back in 2010 when working out in elkridge. Now I don't work out there but I still drive 20 mins for their food. Pizza is really good!! Fresh dough!! But what keeps me coming back is the garlic sauce they make. It's homemade and when I was pregnant with my son I used to crave the garlic sauce. They have a lot of choices for food. It's take out pizza. There Extra Large strikes me as a normal large, but I can live with that. Pizza was ready for take out when we got there. It's a very standard pizza - regular crust, good sauce, generous cheese. Toppings are reasonably priced and they are generous with them. They also have some really good deals and even steered me from one deal to a better one when I said I was picking up. Saved me a few dollars, so I'm happy with that. It's a surprisingly large store for what strikes me as mostly delivery/take out, so you could eat there. Don't expect much ambience (the walls are lined with pizza boxes and flats of soda), but it's clean and spacious, so I wouldn't complain if I was just grabbing a bite to eat. If I could give 0 stars I would. We received 2 orders from Philly's Best, 2 Buffalo Wings and 1 Gyro, on a Sunday within the last hr of the store being open. When the food was delivered the second orderer picked up the food at the door, remember 2 orders on top of each other. Upon taking the bags from on top of one another there was a leak in the container that was holding the Chicken wings. I did not go to look at my order right away bc I was working. After working I go to eat my food and it looks like this. During this time of the pandemic, I refused to eat the wings due to the mess that the bag/food was in. I ordered at 8:53pm and got my after 9:30.. by the time I go to my food they were closed and I said I would call them first thing in the morning. So it's first thing in the morning at 11:15am since they open at 11 and I called Philly's best in Elkridge, who I placed an order with. I explained calmly what happened with my order last night to an associate who then said please hold. A woman came on asking me everything all of again it was not a smooth conversation this time. She asked me why didn't I call after store hours because she is normally there until 12am when they close at 10pm. She also said that the driver knows how to hold food so he didn't do it. MISTAKES HAPPEN, so I think it was rude for her to blatantly say he could not have tipped it over by accident causing the sauce to leak out. She asked why I waiting to call.
