Closest thing to an east coast cheese steak. The only other place I can tolerate a cheese steak is from Jersey Mike's but I love that this place has sides like mozzarella sticks, onions rings, or cheese fries. 5star sandwiches and friendly service. so why 3 stars? the other day i ordered fries and they were served hot in a styrofoam container, hot enough to melt it and leave their imprint. I've seen too many places do this. not sure if its lack of common sense, carelessness, or just being cheap. but No, styrene leaching out onto your food is not good for you. if I'm paying 15 bucks for a sandwich and fries i don't think thats too much to ask. At least though, they put paper down for the sandwiches so its not an issue with those. read more

I make sure to stop at this place everytime I visit Seattle. They probably have the best cheesesteaks in the area or, if not, a darn close second to Original Philly. I think about the sandwiches from this place all the time and there have been many Sundays where I have mourned them not being open. The sandwiches are deceptively filling. BETTER THAN CALOZZI'S. My boyfriend has been searching the area for a good Philly cheesesteak. We have tried a few places including Calozzi's. Calozzi's was a huge disappointment. This place on the other hand makes a great Philly. My boyfriend knows the real thing, I don't. But I can say that for a Seattle-ite, I prefer this over to Calozzi's also. The bread was very soft - my boyfriend described it as "10/10" for a Philly. It soaks up the grease. He said there should be more grease, but it was definitely not dry. The meat was very tender and is even advertised on the menu as being "rib steak". It wasn't chewy or tough at all. The sandwich was also packed. We both got the Belly Buster size (there is regular and Belly Buster). It was full and had a nice weight to it. They certainly didn't skimp on the filling. We also both tried the fries. I tried garlic cheese fries and my boyfriend tried plain cheese fries. The garlic in the garlic fries is real minced garlic and the cheese was a creamy sauce (guessing cheese whiz). Very good. Next time I will probably try the plain or garlic fries with a dip. The fries were very crunchy (hard to describe but uniquely crunchy). A large order is LARGE. The gentleman behind the counter said a large is 13oz and a small is 7oz but when he showed me the rough size with his hands, I didn't expect it to be so big. For most people (especially most women) the large is probably enough to share. The parking is not great here and it can be an easy place to miss (we drove right by it having gone up here specifically to look for it if that tells you anything). The seating is fine, maybe a little dark. But who cares - if you are looking for a great cheesesteak in or around the Seattle area, this beats the more well-known and popular joints. read more

Had a cheesesteak with the Wiz last friday, It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo great with Wiz. The lady who took my order even asked me if i wanted to add wiz to the sandwich or wiz only. I think i would have gone into a cheeze coma if i had both on there. Its wiz from now on... GET THE GARLIC CHEESE FRIES!!!! That's really all I can say, because those are simply the BEST (and keeps me craving for more!). Aside from the fries though, the philly cheese steaks themselves aren't much to drool over. They are certainly quite big and will guarantee to fill up your stomach; however, there's just a certain blandness I can't quite put my finger on. This place is awesome and the best Philly cheesesteak I have had in Washington. My favorite used to be Philly Fever in Seattle but it takes second place now. Bread is extremely soft and fresh, and the cheese is gooey and melded in with the meat nicely. Garlic wiz fries are awesome too! Man my mouth is watering just talking about it. It usually comes w/white cheddar which is great; I tried Wiz tonight, and it was good too. The fries are the thin, crispy type. The food comes out fast and far too hot for the mouth. Located in the Empire Industrial Park it's a bit off the beaten path but not really. It's right off HWY 99. I was pleasantly surprised...............IT'S REALLY GOOD! Like srsly.. o-face in my mouth! the bread is like a pillow sent straight from god and on it is this amazing pile of meat and cheese (and onions and peppers for me) omg. so amazing.. the fries looked amazing but I didnt try them out... NEXT TIME! I was only visiting for four days and we went twice.. yea. thats how good it was. The one time I did stop in here I was the only person in there on a saturday around lunch time. Really this place deserve 3.5 stars... I'm almost a fan but not quite... they are a bit better than A-OK though. Phillys are one of my favorite go-to-fat-foods out there. What's really better than a mound of meat with melted cheese all over and some bread, right? Philly Ya Belly has some of the formula right. The got mounds of meat in the belly buster size - the chopped onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and whatnot are all good as well. But the cheese... though you can taste that it's there - it just doesn't have the ooey-gooey factor that, I personally expect from a good philly. But because its there I can appreciate it. Where the deal breaker comes in, is the bread itself. The bread here is just limp, flavorless and textureless. It's really just a vessel to hold all the ingredients but lacks any character or pizzazz to really make this sandwich shine. Been high and low, far and wide - and though I'm no sandwich connoisseur, I'm a firm believer that the bread will make or break anything sandwich. If they can change this aspect they will have a better shot of phillin my belly again. read more

When I left Humboldt County, CA, I was afraid that I'd never have an awesome Philly Cheesesteak again. I was wrong. When we saw the location, it kind of weirded my husband and me out. It's not really near any other food places, more an industrial/business area. It kind of looks like a little cafeteria on the inside. It's not necessarily vibrant or comforting, but there is photography on the walls from local artists for sale, which is neat and something I appreciate. I got a pepper cheesesteak thingy, which was meat, cheese, and bell peppers. Just about all the sandwiches are the same price regardless of what's in 'em, and that price is pretty reasonable. Apparently if you get a large sandwich, a fountain drink is included. Yay! Also got some garlic cheese fries. All I can say is OMNOMNOM. The peppers got chopped in with the meat so you had a little zing! throughout the whole sandwich, and cheese was well-incorporated. The roll was delightfully soft and tasty. Garlic cheese fries were quite garlicky, and quite cheesy. The radio was even playing a station that I like to listen to! The clerk was polite and friendly and pointed out that I didn't have to get an original and add peppers for an extra cost since that kind of sandwich already existed (hidden...not really, I'm just not perceptive) on the menu. We saw some pretty obnoxious customers come in, and he dealt with them politely as well (though some definitely didn't deserve it). Officially one of my favorite restaurants in Everett now. You can't possibly give this place less than a 4 star review. It's possibly the most delicious thing you can get in the area, and it's definitely more than reasonably priced. Toasted buns, loaded with meat, cheese, peppers, onions or mushrooms (you can take off or add on ingredients at no extra charge - all the sandwiches are same price sans the gutbuster which is obviously much bigger). So tasty. The service is pretty good, it might take a little longer than average, but that's no tragedy. The garlic fries are also damn good, too. Another bummer is that they aren't open on Sundays, but that makes them that much better when you do get one. I worried about the possibility of a great Philly cheesesteak place when I came up here, but this place has become a mecca. Not to be missed. read more

We were craving Philly Ya Belly for dinner this evening after our incredible experience 2 weeks ago. I ordered a #21 cheese steak with mushrooms and bell peppers. DH ordered a #19 cheese steak with mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. Both these sandwiches were size small and we ordered a small garlic fries to share. This was my first time trying garlic fries and they were absolutely delicious! They had just the right amount of finer minced garlic on top. The fries themselves were crispy and super fresh. The sandwiches completely hit the spot and were sooooooo yummy!! We kept a quarter of our sandwiches for later and I can't stop snagging bites :) I noticed they lay the cheese in the bread first and then lay the hot meat which is why the bread holds so wonderfully throughout this gooey goodness. The roll tasted so good and definitely a perfect complement. The customer service at the counter was great! The lady that helped us was very sweet and our call ahead order was ready upon arrival. This place is a gem to have in the area and the cheese steaks are top notch! read more

There's really nothing more to be said about this place that hasn't already been said. The food is so very yummy. I like to get the onion and mushroom. A nice side of garlic fries can't hurt either. There are 3 different options for bread: soft, crunchy, or wheat. The only downfalls of this place (can't dock points for them though) would be that it's usually SUPER chilly in this place and that as mentioned before, they play christian music. I've been here twice this week, so I'm assuming I will be back again in the future. read more

My wife and I got a 6 inch sandwich each, and we split a large cheesy garlic fry. The portions were just right and the prices were very reasonable. The service was friendly and fast. The quality was just average. The bread choice is not appropriate; this type of sandwich should be served on a fresh, crunchy, italian style roll - not a cheap, generic, white bread roll.
