I've driven pretty far too check out unique, independent pretzel places but Philly Style is my favorite and lucky for me it's close to home. I've had pretty much everything from the menu but today I had the cheesesteak soft pretzel and it blew my balls off. I forgot to take a picture of what it looks like inside because I was enjoying it so much (got a little cup of ketchup to dip it in). I can't recommend this place enough. Having lived in the Philadelphia area (mostly Lower Bucks) for two decades, I developed a liking for Philadelphia-style pretzels. The best place to get them IMHO is the Philly Style Soft Pretzel Bakery. They are soft chewy perfection. Their pretzel dogs are great and always a treat for me. Poor counter girl couldn't get a word out, before dude in mean voice no, No there's no more coming out today. Place is open till mid afternoon and no way he won't have more being made! read more

I got tired of eating Philly Pretzel factory and wanted something different. I stumbled upon this place while driving around looking for Amato's. They open pretty early and have fresh pretzels all day. Everything from this place is very good and fresh. The workers are sweet and you feel a family vibe when you're in the store. I would review each individual pretzels but honestly, they all have the same quality, excellent. Note that their breakfast pretzels like ham and eggs can be huge. A lot of times I buy more than I can finish, make sure you know what you are getting into before buying too much! The only set back I can say is that the pretzels can be a bit salty. This was never a problem for me as I love things on the salty side but fair warnings to those who are watching their sodium level. Aside from that however, this place can do no wrong, highly recommended. read more

How can you not get Philly soft pretzels. It used to be that you had to buy them from a guy standing on the street light on Roosevelt Blvd. I loved those pretzels until my mom pointed out that he held them under his arm (they were in a brown bag) but they became known in our house as armpit pretzels. I don't know if we stopped buying them because of that or just stopped driving down there or being sold like that. I am so happy to be able to go into a store and purchase fresh warm pretzels. Now to figure out how to get them home to Oklahoma without them going stale or without me eating them all! All pretzel no armpit! As good as it gets! read more

My wife was there this morning and brought home a few different style pretzels, everything pretzel, braided pretzel, pretzel hot dog and a normal philly style pretzel. The quality of the pretzels are very good. My only complaint is that the salt is a little too strong. (If that makes sense?) I also personally enjoy everything pretzels to have a stronger onion/garlic taste. But overall, it was very good! read more

The owner, Anthony, is really a nice guy. He's always open to donating to a good cause! Also, I've been there more than ten times. His pretzels are always fresh & they do taste so much better than the other place. The service is better by far. Forget those chain pretzel places, this place is amazing! Pretzels are delicious, prices are great, and the selection of mustards at the mustard bar are awesome. They can do specialty pretzel shapes. When I was there on Saturday, they were making special engagement ring shaped pretzels. They can also do turkeys for Thanksgiving. (I can't remember the other holiday shapes, but I know they have shapes for every holiday or occasion.) And don't forget to try the whole wheat. Soooo good. Perfect lunch spot - they have stuffed pretzels with all kids of goodies - buffalo chicken, ham and cheese, pepperoni, and specialty sausages from Gerome's Sausage Company. Working for a small business I've come to learn that customer service is a big part of business. If I'm open till 5 and somebody comes in at 4:50 it is my job to to serve them until the transaction is done. That means helping them until 5:10 if that's how long that customer will be there. read more

Very good pretzels and a different taste and texture than the other "place". The dough is a little different. What I absolutely loved was the fact that we bought the Baker's dozen Tuesday Deal which stayed fresh into Thursday night. I was surprised. I have stopped at this place about once a week lately. Mainly because of their $1 pretzel dogs on Mondays. Those things are so good. I buy the max they allow because people at my work love them. I really like their pretzel sandwich things. My favorite is the pork roll & cheese. Very cheesy! I am not a fan of their pretzels though (personal choice!) Their pretzels have a softer outter crust it seems compared to the Philadelphia Soft Pretzel Factory. I am a fan of the crunchier outside crust with the soft warm doughy instead. They do go the extra step in offering a variety of mustards free of charge (where as Phila Pret Fact charges you for a little cup of mustard). A small difference but a big bonus for me. read more

Really pretty impressed with Philly Style. I've driven by a million times and today I pulled up my bootstraps and went in. They stay true to the philly style pretzel, but even better because they're fresh- mine were still warm and it was 2pm. Most of my philadelphia experiences with soft pretzels is from a food truck when theyre cold and dewey, which I love in its own way too, but these were just right. Its a nice little spot, like someone else said its clean and the people working seemed friendly enough, definately gave a nice family-owned vibe. Also loved the mustard bar with 4 different kinds of mustards and yes, my favorite Ketchup! Sorry I'm not sorry. Tuesdays they have a bakers dozen for $5! read more

Slightly pricy when getting stuff pretzels but well worth it for a change in the normal lunch routine. The cheese burger , and chicken stuffed pretzels both taste like pre-made frozen meats but the other stuffed pretzels I do recommend.
