The breakfast sandwich is phenomenal! As their menu states, it consists of "two organic eggs, split and grilled Spanish chorizo, sharp cheddar cheese and baby arugula on a fresh baked roll w/ a touch of sriracha mayo." The eggs are cooked perfectly! The contrast of the cheddar against the chorizo and sriracha mayo is wonderful and the peppery arugula comes through at the end. I would eat one every morning if my wallet/waist could afford it! The cafe is both large and small (you'll really only understand if you go) but I never have an issue finding somewhere to sit. In the warmer months, it's really nice to sit outside in their patio area. The staff is always accommodating and the place is well kept. Sometimes you wait a bit for things but it's never super long and they are pretty good at keeping you in the loop if there's an issue. Definitely a great spot worth checking out!

The coffee to milk ratio was good and the chocolate flabor was not too overpowering- it still tasted like a latte and not hot chocolate. It wasn't watered down, and was still rich and creamy. The americano was a good cup- straight to the point and robust. We also had the banana nut bread and the pistachio-cranberry-white mocha chip biscotti. Both pastries were pretty good. Some tables had ordered hot food like waffles and soups, which looked pretty good and we might try this place out for a snack or breakfast in the future. Interior is pretty with plants, a record player playing jazz, and clean tables and chairs. Service is friendly, interior is old world charm, coffee and pastries are great. Public parking, ccs, Apple Pay. Public metered parking. Would recommend!

When you go to a cafe you expect a little more attention is being paid to the offerings. I could have had the same tasting meal at any diner in the area. I would have liked to see more of a coffee menu. For a cafe I'd expect some more options than latte, mocha, espresso, macchiato and americano. There's nothing different or special about those. I had the corned beef hash. It really had no flavor of corned beef at all. Someone else in my party had it too and said the same thing. It was just ok. Service: it was fine. No complaints or anything to write home about. Everyone was friendly and inviting when we walked in right at opening. It's been several years since we've been here and it definitely has changed in terms of food quality unfortunately.

I had the "everything" chicken over rice (platter) and it didn't disappoint. The chicken was flavorful and pretty good. My husband leaned into his usual splurge with a double patty burger and fries. He said the burger was very good (and rather large too) while the fries seemed to be frozen fries rather than fresh. We also had some of the walnut baklava, which was just okay. Didn't hit the mark or seemed super fresh. There seems to be only street parking. There are two machines where you can place your order and pay seamlessly with card / Apple Pay. The food didn't take too long to come out either. Solid spot and would return, but the halal in the TRUE NYC just CANNOT be beat, even when included in the name of the business...

I've gotten just bagels here, breakfast sandwiches here twice, and now an omelet. First time I got a breakfast sandwich here the order came out right and in about the time you'd expect. It was middle of the road but nothing to brag or complain about. Second time I waited a long time and then got the wrong order. Two people with my name had both ordered and my order went to the other guy. Then had to wait for it to be re-made. Still was very "okay". Got the omelet recently. I ordered a western omelet with cheese. Cheese was melted overtop instead of inside. Toast stuck to the cheese making it a mess from the start. The ham inside was deli sliced ham and was not diced up at all, just big pieces of ham. There were no onions. A western omelet nearly anywhere in the world is ham, onion, pepper. It was also way overcooked. I actually prefer my eggs cooked hard but this was literally black in spots. Did not come with a side and was priced near the same as other bagel places locally that do offer a side. That'll be my last attempt at coming here. I'm genuinely happy for everyone I know who loves this place and must get different food and service than I do, but I can't catch a break here. The video will be up on socials tonight if you'd like to see the things I said about the omelet. Goldbergs - sucked.
