Had a great affordable quick lunch here over the weekend. The sandwiches were stuffed with meat and well seasoned. I loved the style of fries without too much salt. It's aight. Certainly not the best steak I've had. Having experienced Pat's and Gino's in Philly, I don't think anyone can really compare to that in Louisiana unless you're from Philly. This experience is comparable to my disappointment when I bought a NY style pizza in NOLA. Terrible! I was supremely unimpressed. Let NY have their pies and just call whatever you all do here a rendition.....same with the steaks. I ordered the #2 and while it was hot, it was lacking cheese (but you can pay 0.96 extra for cheese...yikes!) and the seasoning seemed a bit off. It's been a while since I've been here but it's still good as I remember. The service was good, the food came out quick and the restaurant is really clean. I love they make the sandwiches to order as well as the fries. My only issue is that I wish the shrimp were a little bit bigger. read more

This establishment has been around for so many years. One visit and you'll see how they lasted long. They originally were located off Westbank Expressway, but moved here. They set slightly behind the surrounding businesses, so you could call it a hidden gem. Every time I visit, it's always clean inside. The staff move so quickly that your order is ready in a timely manner. They have so many delicious options. I usually opt for the combination cheesesteak. It comes with chicken, shrimp, and beef. It's always so meaty. Their fries are always crips and have many condiments to spice them up. I've never been to Philly, but I imagine this is how delicious the cheesesteaks are. So I've eaten at this place when they were at Oakwood mall at their spot that is or was in Harvey and this location never had any problems but tonight I ordered 3 sandwhiches 2 of them didn't seem to have cheese when I bit into the corner I could taste the cheeese but it was dry the fries were over cooked so I called and told them about the problem and their response was oh there is cheese and mayo on it like no kind of hey sorry I'm a bartender and if a guest doesn't like something I apologize and see how I can make it better but hey that's just me read more

After doing a DoorDash delivery from here, it smelled so good I could not wait to try them for myself. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and eating inside feels like you're visiting friends for lunch. I really love the staff's attitudes. The downfall was that everything lacked seasoning big time. Also, the hot sausage wasn't the Patton's style, but more of a hot dog wiener style. The shrimp were those tiny dry shrimp. The strawberry lemonade was really good and sweet. I'll try out the original Philly and hopefully the seasoning is better on that. But big time lacking on the seasoning. read more

so let me start by saying: customer service is their saving grace. The environment was clean and my order was made quickly. However, its time to rethink the recipe cause this is NOT it. There's only one way to do a philly cheese steak and that's the RIGHT way. I don't understand their choice to use ground meat instead of thinly sliced steak in traditional sandwiches. The flavor does not show up the same way. my sandwich was salty and messy, i didnt want to finish it after the second bite. The fries where basic and too crispy. The food lacked seasoning, tiny little shrimp. The burger looked like a dry sausage patty, didn't have any cheese on it. The sprite tasted like faucet water with acid. And we all know faucet water is very nasty. What a waste of money. Never ordering from this place ever again. If you are reading this do yourself a favor and drive pass this place. Not going to lie, I can only be mad at myself for stopping here after reading the reviews. I was really craving a PCS and most of the reviews are old so maybe they could have turned things around. I will say the restaurant was clean and the service was quick but that has to honestly be from nobody coming in throughout the day. This is the worst PCS sandwich I've ever had. The ground beef literally has no flavor and all the juice is cooked out so you're left with a dry, bland sandwich. The only moisture you get is from the tomato's and the mayo. The ingredients seemed fresh. I was pretty hungry so the first few bites, I was like this isn't bad but it's not good. The more I consumed, the more pissed off and disgusted I became. How do you mess up a PCS this bad. Please, if you're thinking about going here... just don't. You will be upset and feel like you've been scammed out of your money. I don't cook much and I'm sure I can make a better PCS at home than this. If they would've put any love a.k.a. seasoning on the meat, it wouldn't be that bad. They really dont lnow what an actual Philly Cheesesteak is. The meat was more like ground meat with spices. Couldnt taste the mushrooms bell peppers or even the cheese. The worst cheesesteak sandwich I have ever eaten. I have never seen shrimp so small! Dime sized shrimp not cleaned. The fries seemed as if they were boiled then topped with ranch dressing and old bay. I would recommend that they find out what a real cheesesteak is and start from there. Ordered the steak burger, and it definitely didn't look or taste like a steak burger. It tasted like a frozen patty from the grocery store. *Dressed* doesn't mean the standard dressing. You'll get a couple strings of lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, and a house sauce. The surf and turf was decent, but the shrimp were so small. The chili cheese fries had no flavor. One order is enough for two people. The one redeeming item was the sweet corn nuggets. I really wanted to like this spot and have a great philly steak joint in the neighborhood, but can't say this is it. read more
