This establishment has been around for so many years. One visit and you'll see how they lasted long. They originally were located off Westbank Expressway, but moved here. They set slightly behind the surrounding businesses, so you could call it a hidden gem. Every time I visit, it's always clean inside. The staff move so quickly that your order is ready in a timely manner. They have so many delicious options. I usually opt for the combination cheesesteak. It comes with chicken, shrimp, and beef. It's always so meaty. Their fries are always crips and have many condiments to spice them up. I've never been to Philly, but I imagine this is how delicious the cheesesteaks are. I would recommend this place to people, also bring a friend!

My second time here. Got a potato fry with Philly cheesesteak meat. It's basically the works of a Philly on top of fries. I believe it's called potato fry.

After doing a DoorDash delivery from here, it smelled so good I could not wait to try them for myself. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and eating inside feels like you're visiting friends for lunch. I really love the staff's attitudes. The downfall was that everything lacked seasoning big time. Also, the hot sausage wasn't the Patton's style, but more of a hot dog wiener style. The shrimp were those tiny dry shrimp. The strawberry lemonade was really good and sweet. I'll try out the original Philly and hopefully the seasoning is better on that. But big time lacking on the seasoning.

New Phil's cheesesteak in Gretna. I ordered the footling phillys special combo. The sandwich and fries were bland. Adding special sauce gave it some flavor. the Service was quick and friendly.

    Dirty tiny shrimp

The worst cheesesteak sandwich I have ever eaten. I have never seen shrimp so small! Dime sized shrimp not cleaned. The fries seemed as if they were boiled then topped with ranch dressing and old bay. I would recommend that they find out what a real cheesesteak is and start from there. It was more like hamburger meat shrimp and sausages chopped up together.

    Dead ant in my drink.

Very good. They have the realest Philly in the south. Every time I come from out of town I need one.

Let's just say that we ordered enough food that day, that we didn't even need to buy dinner. This location is about 15 minutes away from the touristy areas. It's surrounded by a ginormous beauty shop, a mochi donut shop (surprised to see it in Louisiana) and another Asian restaurant. When we first walked inside, I noticed that there was no host at the counter. So we waited and waited until someone acknowledged us. Let's just say that there was a lot of waiting during our visit. The prices were about the same as other seafood boil places in California. I ordered the combo 1 lb of shrimp head-on and 3lbs of crawfish, which automatically came with corn, sausage, and potatoes. I also ordered a half dozen of charbroiled oysters. As far as the charbroiled oysters go, it was ok. The night before we ate at Acme and the charbroiled oysters at Fiery Crab were nothing compared to Acme. My boyfriend ordered a chicken tender basket and calamari rings. One thing that I do want to mention is the sauce that came with the calamari and chicken tenders wasn't like any other sauce I've tasted. I don't know what they put in it, but it was good. I'm guessing it was ketchup and tartar sauce with a kick to it. I couldn't figure it out. My only complaints: Is the long waits and our server was nowhere to be found. Aside from that, our server was very friendly and provided us with what we needed when he did come around.

Ordered take off from this restaurant. We were on a weekend trip and wanted to make sure we tried…read moredifferent foods from Louisiana and we ordered the frog legs, shrimp and seafood gumbo. The frog legs and shrimp was nicely breaded and crunchy but a bit on the saltier side. Gumbo had a good base but lacked flavor and could have used bigger pieces of each ingredient. Overall for a takeout order I would say 4 stars. Items were pricer for Louisiana and the quantity. Only pictured are the frog legs. No experience on the ambience a because we ordered takeout.
