After some online research, Cactus Collective made the list, along with many other gems in Queen Village, and I'd have to say I had my best scores there. The two ladies working there were very warm and inviting when I entered, but also were cool with giving me my space to dig around--I never felt pressured, which I've found most helpful when perusing unique vintage items. The store has a very distinctive Southwestern personality that sets it apart from other vintage stores in the city. Though it's a small space, the clothes, accessories, and gifts were all merchandised in a way to make the customer feel as if they're shopping in someone's private closet. Later, after following the store on Instagram, I had questions about some items I was interested in buying via their online store. I received quick responses and the owner was patient with all my questions, and they shipped my item within 24 hours. No doubt will I be buying from CC again, and I'm already looking forward to my next Philly trip so that I can revisit in person.

Like no breathing room. And the set up does not seem ideal for people to flow through without pushing. I haven't been pushed or subtly moved that much at a bar in a decade. Almost spilled my drink a few times. Music was so loud on the bar side I couldn't hear anything or talk. I guess since country is a lighter tone they thought they should crank it. The whole vibe immediately reminded me of Gruene Hall in New Braunfels (a famous music venue with strong ties to Willie Nelson), especially with all the neon beer signs lining the walls and the music energy woven into the space. It has that worn-in, Texas dance hall feel, but dropped right into Philly. At the bar, I was a big fan of the citywide special. It's a nice touch finding a spot in Philly that carries Lone Star. The infused tequila was another standout. I really enjoyed the jalapeño and pineapple infusion in particular. Food wise, the walking taco was a highlight for me. The burnt end chili really brings the flavor and makes it more than just a novelty snack. It's a great little bite to have with a drink. The thrift side of things is where it fell a bit short for me (speaking as someone who does quite a bit of thrifting). Some of the pricing felt high relative to the brands/quality. That said, as they continue to grow and refine their curation, I think it has a lot of potential. Overall, a fun concept with strong food and bar execution. The sweatshirts, socks, and even joggers are super thick. I got a pair of joggers that are fully lined with thermal for $25. The retail price is $78, which I find to be very reasonable for the quality. And then they discount them down to $25?! They're like a lightweight snowboarding pant. I can honestly wear them to mountain high LOL. Also, everything seems to run pretty true to size, except for some jerseys. I usually can't wear a men's small because it's too huge on me. I'm only 5'2" 105lbs and their mens small typically fits me like a kids med or large. Yay! They opened a retail store on Melrose in LA, but unfortunately it seems like it was bad timing. I'm pretty sure it had to close down because of Covid. I'm really hoping they re-open again in the near future.

I was proud of myself for not buying anything as all the shirts and jerseys are at a fiery market price. Game authentic Barkley jersey being $350. To clarify, this is not a jersey that he actually wore but are the same one's that the players wear on the field. The reason for the one-star deduction is they get all of their product from the company Fanatics. Which means if you want a jersey of a player, you do not see in the store it will be very hard to come by.
