Very friendly, knowledgable staff, great prices (best around actually) and fantastic products. Just like their website says, no project is too big, small or strange. My husband belongs to a string band & they recently started getting Celtic Shirts to do their silk screening & embroidery on their coats & shirts. Everyone is thrilled with the finished product, and the band is saving money. They also have stuff already made, which is neat. Lots of Irish shirts (from Celtic shirts? Cornelios very kindly and patiently provided EXPERT ADVICE on how to best embroider the various items I brought in (a hat, sweatshirt, blanket...)! He is VISIONARY, and clearly has a been doing this very well, for a very long time! (He even sewed huge collegiate style letters onto a throw blanket I brought in, which matched the style already on the blanket and looked like it had been personalized from the outset!) Every item I brought to Marathon turned out AMAZING and there was an AUDIBLE 'WOW!' as I looked at each article of clothing they had embroidered! Cornelios has clearly built a great team to support the myriad of projects that are brought in for embroidery! I couldn't be more thrilled! I just purchased a pair of khaki pants yesterday from a local store in another part of the city and after I tried them on again at home, I felt the pants length was just a little bit too long. I have to wear them at a new seasonal job. So I looked here on Yelp to search for the best tailors in town. And guess what business came up on the list? The Sciolis! WIthout knowing their background and expertise beforehand, my intuition took over. Without even looking anywhere else, I just said to myself I'm going here. After being fortunate to find a good parking space right across the street because it is far from easy to park on Passyunk Avenue, I walked in to a welcoming store by Pasquale and Anna. Once I told them them what I needed to have done, I tried on the pants, Anna took some measurements and within 2 hours, Pasquale completed the work! After Anna called me to tell me the pants were ready and I returned to pick it up, I could not be happier. I did not even need to try on my pants again. I knew based on his experience, he did them right. That is how much I trusted him. This is not just a highly reputable business and have done work for many across the city including mayor Jim Kenney, but those in public life have undoubtedly come to appreciate Pasquale and Anna for what they do! Dudes has a nice selection of suede and leather shoes that aren't cheap, but are one-of-a-kind in this city. I guess it's been awhile since I've had anything dry cleaned, I was surprised by the $88 cost for the alterations and cleaning. The owner is super nice, work was great so I'm not complaining but just surprised. They take about a week to complete so it's not an overnight service but I'll wait for quality.
