This guy! This guy…read moreis the dr that calls me with bad news. I'm never happy to hear from him but he's nice, professional and is unfortunately the Dr on call when my bad-news lab results come back - so he's been the messenger. I've never met him so it is especially uncomfortable to hear from him but he makes sure I receive information in a timely manner. He is conscientious and though when I hear his voice I've to brace myself, I know he'll follow up with recommendations or further instructions. So poor you Dr N - in my life you're "that guy" but I'm "that patient" which I suppose makes things even. None the less I'm grateful to you for calling even if the news is bad. You're a mensch.

I can't tell you how much I miss Dr Neirman he was my doctor for at least 40 years. I started with…read morehim when he first started at graduate hospital and we grew old together. I'm 76 years old and dr Nierman has been my doctor almost all my life. He's seen me through good times and many self imposed bad times. He never judged me when he knew I really screwed up, he's never just been a doctor he's been a friend. We've laughed together and I've cried talking to him when I was in my deepest depressions. He always knew what was wrong with me and more than anything when I sent him a message I never had to wait a week for a response it came within a day. I know I was a pest but he never made me feel, like one. My new doctor is great but I'm afraid I'll never replace doctor Nierman. I wish him the very best and I know he really loved his children and grand grandchildren. As I face the twilight of my life I sure do wish Eliot was here for me, but I know he thinks of his patients all the time I just hope I'm one of them.
