He's pleasant and easy to talk with about your medical concerns and he listens. For non emergent issues I send e-mail and in addition to his staff nurse responding he often will respond also. He became my PCP because during visit in 2022 I was telling him my Dr was leaving Penn. He volunteered saying "I can become your PCP" and I accepted. That was good decision for me. I would highly recommend him. Though these days its really tough to get an appmt. But as mentioned above their is communication lines open thru phone or e-mail even telehealth if you want it. I'm never happy to hear from him but he's nice, professional and is unfortunately the Dr on call when my bad-news lab results come back - so he's been the messenger. I've never met him so it is especially uncomfortable to hear from him but he makes sure I receive information in a timely manner. He is conscientious and though when I hear his voice I've to brace myself, I know he'll follow up with recommendations or further instructions. So poor you Dr N - in my life you're "that guy" but I'm "that patient" which I suppose makes things even. None the less I'm grateful to you for calling even if the news is bad. You're a mensch.

I'm 76 years old and dr Nierman has been my doctor almost all my life. He's seen me through good times and many self imposed bad times. He never judged me when he knew I really screwed up, he's never just been a doctor he's been a friend. We've laughed together and I've cried talking to him when I was in my deepest depressions. He always knew what was wrong with me and more than anything when I sent him a message I never had to wait a week for a response it came within a day. I know I was a pest but he never made me feel,like one. My new doctor is great but I'm afraid I'll never replace doctor Nierman. I wish him the very best and I know he really loved his children and grand grandchildren. Unlike my previous podiatrist, Stacy educated me on what may be the root of my problem, but she was unable to take a sample at the time because of the botched job that my past podiatrist provided. She also spent a great deal of time informing me of my options and all costs associated with them. Although I spent a great deal of time complaining about my past provider, Stacy put me at ease and apologized for his wrong doings. She didn't over charge me or come up with bogus expenses,which was such a relief! I am definitely be going back!

All the students know he is inappropriate, but no one will say anything to him. Marta Motel is not much better. They are incredibly medication negative. I had a simple, verifiable, common health condition that I could not get them to write a proper script for even after an office visit. Because I did not receive immediate care, the condition ended up knocking me out for months. I ended up at Urgent Care where I got real treatment. Don't ever, ever go here. Spare yourself.
