Not as clean as it should be in the inside. Trash was all on the floor and dried tea was spilled all over the bar where you get drinks. The sandwiches were okay, I got a authentic philly and the it was mostly veggie, and hardly had any cheese and or meat. My chips and side queso was great but chips were fired to hard. I eat a lot of cheesesteaks and know what I like. This place is clean, friendly, and serves good food but a chicken cheesesteak served with chunks of chicken is not going to hit the spot for me. It was a good and well made sandwich but chunks of chicken is just wrong. The fries with queso was good but I was surprised that they were curly fries. I went here both nights while in town since it was across the street from the hotel. I wanted to try something else the second night, but I was worn out from the heat and humidity and just wanted something close. The cheesesteak was very good and closer to a real steak than I've had other than Pat's in PA. The cheese sauce (they call it queso) was more like nacho cheese rather than the Cheese Wiz Pat's uses. The meat and bread were both excellent. Tonight I had a mushroom burger. It was very juicy and big. I can't imagine a double. I put a couple onion rings on it and that made it even better. Speaking of onion rings, these were very good. I hate when you take a bite of an onion ring and the whole onion comes out. Not with these - each bite got just the right amount of onion and batter. Last night they put ranch in the bag, but just ketchup tonight. The rings are good enough on their own that it didn't matter. The place was very clean, and service fast and friendly. Just had the "authentic" with onion rings and wow. Sandwich was full and tasty. Bread was soft yet crispy and the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. So not good not good at all. First off the map via Yelp sent me to the wrong location. So I called and got the directions. Got the directions and headed to the restaurant. I got to the restaurant 15 mins before it closed. There was one lady who ordered right before me and then me and my husband stood at the counter ready to order and no one acknowledge us or even took out order. Even asked can we order. They have THE best queso fries! I try the queso everywhere I go (if they have it) and this is definitely the best queso I have ever had. I only live a couple miles away so I definitely have to fight the urge to order these all the time. But I try to save them for an occasional treat. The order is huge for the price and I always have leftovers to reheat later. The iced tea is really good too. Haven't had the sandwiches but I hear they are good. I'm always surprised this place isn't really busy but I don't think a lot of people know about it. It's definitely worth a try IMO. read more

I have driven by this place hundreds of times. Finally, I remembered to pull in and give it a try. We ordered the 8" Philly Authentic w/steak, grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms all smothered in mozz cheese on a really good roll. We also ordered a basic cheeseburger, onion rings and fries. Add in 2 sodas and the entire two meals were only $17. Everything was good. The Philly steak was very tender and not over-cooked. Grilled veggie toppings were also perfect. The burger was very good. It appears to be a standard 1/4 pound pattie, but very tender and juicy. Toppings were freshly cut and it was topped with real cheddar cheese. The bun was delicious (slightly sweet, tender, able to contain the contents without falling apart). I asked the owner about the bun and she told me they come from an Italian bakery. The restaurant is not fancy and doesn't have a real decor. All business. But don't let this sway you away from here. The owner was friendly and hopes things continue to pick-up. A place like this has been on my wishlist for years, unfortunantly my one and only trip here was terrible. I ordered a simple cheesesteak sammy and watched the "cook" take a small tray of precooked and prepackaged cold meat and precooked onions out of the fridge, remove the plastic wrap from it and dump it onto the hot top. He then placed a couple of slices of white velveeta on it and once the cheese melted he threw the entire mess onto a cold roll and served it up to me like it was supposed to be the greatest thing ever....Not so much. The meat was still lukewarm and completely flavorless and completely unseasoned despite the still limp and cold onions and processed cheese-like substance. I could have literally gone to the walmart around the corner and gotten a better cheesesteak from their premade frozen section which may as well be where the meat here comes from. Just awful. I dont even remember anything else about this place aside from it being very spartan with very sparse decor. It honestly felt and tasted like something you might get from a hospital cafeteria. read more
