I created a Yelp account specifically to write this review. We had an issue at 11am with our garage door that left it crooked and inoperable, leaving my wife's car trapped in the garage. Wanting to support a local business, I searched for garage door repair in Clovis, and Phillips had the best reviews. I called around 11:30am and spoke with Diana, who was courteous, prompt and professional. She stated that she wasn't sure if any techs were available for same day service, but she would check and call me back. She called back minutes later to inform me that I was placed on standby, in the event that any techs became available. She then called me back at 11:59am to let me know that the tech was on his way. Mike showed up shortly after, and had the garage door fixed and lubricated in less than 30 minutes. He was quick, professional, informative and again; done in less than half an hour. The garage door operation is smoother and quieter than its been since we've lived here. Now, maybe I got lucky, but to go from a broken garage door to a well performing garage door in about an hour and a half *total* certainly warrants a glowing review. The next time we need any maintenance or replacement, Phillips gets the call. read more

Warning! Do not use Phillips Garage door. They are scam artists. I had a technician come to look at my garage door opener. He spent about a minute looking at it and he told me that I would need a new garage door opener. He offered me an outrageously very expensive model. I bought a reasonable priced opener from home depot instead. He said I wouldn't be charged for the visit, but a month later I got a bill for 74 dollars. I called to complain but the staff told me that he hadn't mentioned that it was a free visit in his notes. The staff at Phillips garage door are liars. Its obvious that most of the "5-star" reviews on here are fake. read more

My wife shut the garage door on our car and I thought we might need a new door. I called Phillips Garage Door because when I was looking online it said they are a locally owned company and that is important to me. They answered their phone immediately when I called and were very friendly. They came out to my house the same day. They were able to fix my garage door rather than replace it and they serviced my other garage door while they were here. literally such a lifesaver!! my garage door completely broke down and would not open at all which was a total nightmare bc my car was trapped inside. i found phillips garage door on yelp and they responded so fast and came out to clovis the same day. the service was amazing, the tech (i think his name was mike?) was super cool and fixed the broken spring in like less than an hour. the value was totally reasonable too, i thought it was gonna cost me an arm and a leg but it didn't break the bank. the ambiance is just a work truck and tools lol but honestly they're so professional and nice, 10/10 recommend!! read more

A few months ago I didn't wait until the garage door was all the way up before I decided to pull out. Whoops. I called Phillips Garage Door and was greeted by a sweet gal who was nothing but helpful. She answered all my questions and assured me I'm not the only one who has done this. She scheduled a time for a technician to come out and Manual showed up right on time. He was so helpful, fixed the problem, reprogramed all of our car remotes and was so friendly. I will NEVER contact anyone or go anywhere else. They are fairly priced and don't force you into purchasing anymore than what you truly need. read more

I was 100% impressed with the service, both with the office and the technician. The technician came out within a few hours after I called. They answered my questions in a straightforward manner, the rates were very reasonable, the technician was professional and friendly. Easy to converse with. He gave a $20 discount right off the top. Manuel came by today and really helped me out with my Garage Door. I had called 2 other places and not actually heard back from them or they set appointments and didn't show up. Phillips set a next day appointment with me and they were flexible when i had to run a quick errand that rolled over into my appointment time. Manuel was awesome! Quick, helpful, funny and friendly. Dear Garage Door owners, If you have a busted spring, loose cable or slow control signal, look no further that Philip Garage Service. I have used them over 4 to 5 times in the last 10 years.
