The service was terrible 'the technician Gilbert was honest and polite .the owner Jonathan is a habitual liar he lied to me for a whole week about chi garage door because he lied and said he had it in stock on July 16 then he rescheduled me for July 23 and the tech showed up with the Lincoln door the cheapest door you can get and I had just talk to him Thursday night on the 22nd when he showed up this morning on the 23rd with the Lincoln door I refused it and asked for my $500 back in cash like I gave him as a down payment then he tried to repay me on cash app' Jonathan just wasted my time he is so dishonest ' I would never recommend this place to anyone he's a sad case. A piece of wood fell and when I went to open my garage, it pushed the door off tract. Then I tried to fix it. Which made it worse. I seriously thought I was going to have to replace my whole door. I quickly called Fresno Garage Doors from yelp reviews and the gave me a narrow window of 3-4pm which was wonderful as the garage was stuck open. Everything has been wonderful. Good company, quick and efficient - probably I would use them again. We called around and found they're probably cheaper than others, even than buying one from Home Depot and asking them to install. The installer came out to check on installation a couple of days beforehand and set up an appointment for later. He was done in less than 3 hours - very efficient and careful. They don't do any recycling (too bad) but installer helped take it to my home where I listed it on Craigslist and found a taker immediately - to re-purpose it, but that's a lot of aluminum anyway. My only quibble would be that they should be up front about all possible costs - as it was, they added extra installation costs (our garage ceiling was slightly lower than average), trim costs and for extra remote (they only give you one). And possibly have more opener options, though the one they sold us was fine, and could be hooked up to a smart phone for security. Total cost was $1,800 for 7' x 16' almond color door with battery backup (required here) and Liftmaster opener and installation. read more

UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW: After hearing of my experience the owner of the company called me and explained that in an attempt to provide excellent customer service on my first call they told me they could send a tech that night. They couldn't reach the tech that was on call and he apologized for not notifying me of their issue. He offered to send a tech at my convenience to fix my door, but I had already scheduled an appointment with another company. That tech misdiagnosed my problem, saying I needed a new rail assembly at a cost of $175. I called Fresno Garage Doors back and they sent Gilbert, and in less than 10 minutes he replaced the traveler, greased the rod, tightened a few nuts, and voila! My door now works better and quieter than ever, and I saved a bunch of $ on unnecessary repairs! I only review companies when I have a really good or really bad experience. In this case a bad experience turned into a great one, thanks to Fresno Garage Doors' commitment to excellent customer service. I highly recommend them as a company with integrity and great customer service. They more than made up for the inconvenience I encountered in my first experience with them. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I called at 7pm thinking I'd leave a message for them to call me back. I was surprised and pleased to get a live person. I was hoping they could come the next day to repair my door but they said they didn't have any appointments available for the next day - BUT they could send someone to my house between 7:30-8:30 that night. We tried to reset the garage motor and you tube to diagnose the problem and so when we couldn't find out what was wrong we called Fresno Garage last night and Gilbert came out at 8am today. It was the spring coils, both sides were replaced $279 plus $50 service fee but when I mentioned I found them on Yelp they waived the $50, has a 3 year warranty They were fast and professional , I'd recommend them! read more

He also admitted that it was an error on their end, because they had me scheduled for the wrong week. After speaking to Johnathan, he made things right by giving me $25.00, because I had to put a stop to my bank. My liftmaster garage door opener control board went out so called Fresno Garage Doors to replace it with new Chamberlain HD930EV with MyQ technology. Glenn came out and got it up and running within 2 hours. Very professional and knowledgeable of his craft and provided me a few great tips and tricks to prolong my system and differentiate between commercial grades verses retail. Garage is working perfectly now. Can't ask for better customer service. Stored his number in my cell so definite ly will use his service again. Side note: Regarding the Chamberlain Internet Gateway unit it looks like the company needs to hire more intelligent software developers. The device has problems. Was on phone with tech support for about 2 hours and couldnt get device to work properly.. and still not working; waiting for resolution call from Chamberlain. If you are easily annoyed, wait on purchasing it. I'm an IT guy so i enjoy trying new products and hope the bugs are fixed soon. read more

The Bad News: One spring on our garage door broke. Surprising just how heavy that door was with a broken spring. Unknown to us, Lennar uses a unusual spring system on the new homes in our development. After a little research, I verified what Gilbert advised us was correct, and replacing the spring system with a traditional style would be a better bet. I don't believe that this is a fair rating for Fresno Garage Doors. The only reason why they have such a high rating is because the owner, Jonathan, is contacting customers with complaints. I was contacted by Jonathan minutes after posting my review on yelp. Thus, I give yelp a 5 star for allowing customers to have a voice. I contacted the company over the phone multiple times but never got any answers. That changed when I posted my review on yelp and made a public complaint.
