    Gigantic blueberries
    Julie Ying X.

I came here on a Saturday morning with a group of 5 people. I called in advance to see what fruit was available for picking. They had blueberries, blackberries, red currants, plums, yellow nectarines, white nectarines, yellow peaches, and donut peaches. The farm was much larger than I expected. The price per pound was pretty reasonable. The blueberries and blackberries were gigantic. It was quite a far walk to the red currants so I probably would skip that next time. The farm was well maintained and there was so much fruit (in terms of variety and quantity) to pick. What's great was that there was no admission fee. The plastic bags were free and the buckets cost $2. There's a $5 minimum purchase which was not that hard since there's so much fruit to buy here. I would definitely come back next year! This was the best and largest farm I've been to in New Jersey.

Came for Apple picking one beautiful Saturday afternoon. The trees were picked over, but still was able to walk away with a fair amount of apples. Decently priced and a fun afternoon. Bonus - got a 1/2 gallon of the cider and it was awesome!

We did the pick your own apples! Under 10lbs was 2$ a pound. We also picked up a 1/2 pint of apple cider. The Apple cider is much lighter then typical apple cider which we loved! Not sure price though didn't get a recipiet. You need to go to the farm stand first where we were given directions to the picking and a bag. We picked our apples then drove back to the stand and paid. Tons of fruit, vegetables and homemade butters, salsa, jellies! They did have a window that is open at the farm probably on busier days so you wouldn't have to go back to the farm stand. We went on a Wednesday. Tons and TONS of nats when we were picking. It was so bad it made us hurry up to find apples and leave. Highly recommend bug spray!

13# of blackberries! Can't wait to put these in my smoothies!

This place is fantastic! Today we picked blackberries, raspberries, and peaches. The raspberries were a little more picked over, but we still managed to nearly full a bucket, ~11#. Blackberries on the other hand... JACK POT! This was the perfect weekend to be out there, as they were in perfect condition for picking! Peaches as well! Prices are reasonable, and the staff was courteous and helpful. Plenty of free parking and no fee to enter into the fields. I recommend going first thing in the morning when it is a little cooler, otherwise, the hotter temps may not make it as enjoyable for some.

It had herbs de Provence on top but it was like it was an afterthought and they weren't seasoned into the salmon, more like cooked the salmon plain & dipped it in the dry herbs after it was cooked. The parsnip puree it came with tasted more like butter than anything else so I avoided that. My friend ordered a burger done medium and she got a well done burger. What pissed me off the most is I ordered a jalapeño cheddar biscuit and when we walked in, I saw a piping hot one being walked to a table that was dining in. The girl who I was picking up my food with told me they didn't have anymore so asked if a plain biscuit was fine .. I was like no not really I don't want that and they had no idea what to do. I asked if they had bbq sauce and the guy said "I don't know". Like what? You work there ??? I just took my food and left and sure enough the biscuit was SO DRY. My friend took cheese from her dinner and melted it onto the biscuit which made it way better. My question is- why didn't the restaurant think to do this if they have cheese.... This place was an expensive disappointment. We both didn't like our meals. The ambiance inside was nice though but the food and service sucked

We had a 7 PM reservation on a Wednesday night, and the place and parking lot were packed! Good sign to start! To begin, I enjoyed the Ruby grapefruit mocktail. Although I'd love trying new and unique cocktails at different establishments, I was in the mood for something light and refreshing and nonalcoholic. This hit just a spot. For food, we started off with the margherita pizza to share. Then, I opted for the crispy, buttermilk chicken sandwich with malt vinegar, potato wedges/fries. It was very delicious. The sandwich was crispy and fresh and the bun looked like it was handcrafted. The malt fries were unique because they had a vinegar powder on them. I've never tasted malt vinegar before, and it was a unique texture. Our waitress was very friendly, but I wish she had been a bit more attentive. She only stopped by to ask us for our drink order, our food order, and to give the check. My friends wanted to order more drinks, but because she did not come around as frequently as we would have liked, they were unable to place another order. I will give her the benefit of the doubt, however, because the restaurant was bustling from start to finish. Overall, very nice setting and meal. Cute decor, including an Anthony Bourdain abstract portrait.

First- the decor is open and airy in a rather idyllic setting- perhaps late 18th, early 19th century building? I don't recall the precise date. The southern dining room is well lit and sets betwixt a canal on the West and the Delaware River on the East. Both of which can easily be viewed- along with a public tow-path for the canal. Yes, there is outdoor seating. The wine list is what you would expect, and that is not so say anything denigrating. We went with a 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Cellier des Princes Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Chasse des Princes) - while a bit young, it was kept well, and went swimmingly with our lunch, nor was it overpriced. The food. Moules Marinières. C'est magnifique! Tender. Flavourful. Fresh (as best as one can be 90 minutes from the sea). The broth was exquisite- not overly salted, and very respectful of the Mussels- very traditional and well executed. I will certainly be back here. In fact, speaking with another well travelled Wine Enthusiast/Foodie semi-local at a wine bar about Golden Pheasant, he shared much the same sentiment. Truly, this encompasses a roadside hidden gem.

We ordered the Caesar salad (phenomenal) The steak tartare, just divine perfection The waitress heard me talking about the sweat breads from the chicken dish (that I wasn't ordering, I'll explain shortly) and said the chef could do them as a side dish, DELICIOUS!!! My husband got the world's largest most delicious pork chop. Now, my meal. I ordered the halibut and recognized that perhaps it wasn't for me, but I ordered it it was my choice I wasn't going to send it back. Our waitress took note that I wasn't eating and told me that simply would not do and hustled to the kitchen to come out with the chicken dish, I was so appreciative of her noticing and accommodating this, truly, amazing service and that chicken was succulent beyond words! We also got 3 of the desserts, the seasonal eggnog bread pudding, the cinnamon raisin bread pudding which was insanely delicious as I personally am not a huge bread pudding fan but if every bread pudding was this? That would be my go to! And of course the butterscotch pudding which better never leave the menu because it is lick your plate delicious!!! I also enjoyed a hot cocktail which on a cold night was heavenly. Their farm-to-table approach means a rotating menu and selection of curated ingredients that make up stunning dishes. From appetizer to dessert (which sadly we didnt have room for) the menu is thoughtful and intentional. Starting with cocktails - the famous Sleigh Bells Ring (featured on the cover of Edible Magazine) was perfection. Not too sweet, warming and tart with the mescal and boozy cranberry sauce- and incredible concoction. The Dark Love Story was equally seductive with a vodka base and aperitif blend with red wine reduction. The thought they put into their menu doesnt just stop at food! We were torn between starters but the Tartare was our pick and an excellent one. The egg was golden, the capers crisp, and the truffle aoili was never overpowering. The housemade crisp chips were a welcome change from the often offered toast bites while still being an elevated dish. The potato crsted cod was served beautifully with a lobster broth poured table-aide and was accompanied by fresh clams, shrimp, and mussels- honestly not a critique to be found. The grilled Chipotle flank steak was cooked to perfection and the hen of the woods mushroom was a showstopper. All in all I struggled to not make a reservation for every night I was in town because it is a must to go back. The decor and staff arw welcoming and as thoughtful as the meals served with mushrooms present all throughout complimenting the Bolete name. 10/10 all around.
