Appointments are often rescheduled, making it difficult to plan or take time off work with confidence. The biggest issue has been billing. Estimated charges rarely match the final cost, and it often feels like a bait-and-switch--services are approved based on one estimate, only to later be told insurance doesn't cover them. We've had the same insurance for years, so inaccurate quotes for things like composite fillings are frustrating and avoidable. This used to be a place we trusted and recommended, but we stopped going some time ago, and after today, my wife has decided she's done as well.

Wait times are always pretty short compared to other medical offices and appointments are consistent every 6 months. If I need an urgent appointment due to a filling popping out or whatever, they're usually able to see me within a week. The one time I was having issues after getting a filling replaced, Dr. Sheu had me come back in and promptly redid the work for free and my issue was fixed. I have colleagues who also come to this office and they have had really positive experiences as well. Dr. Sheu and his staff seem to really care about their patients. Highly recommend!

But Ryan was able to show me on a scan exactly why I needed the root canal and gave me the confirmation I needed. If you can have a specialist do your root canal over a general dentist, I would highly recommend it -- and Dr. Ryan Franklin & staff are the best! He even let my daughter look through his microscope and took the time to make her feel special. I hope you never need a root canal, but if you do -- go see Dr. Franklin.

I remember the sounds of screeching birds (that was actually sound from a high-pitched whine caused by the drill). I'm glad the dentists I see now do not use those tools. The other thing I detest is that bright overhead lights. I may have watched too many sci-fi movies because those lights look like an alien space ship hovering over my head. However, my fears were dispelled when I saw Dr. Franklin. He was kind and gentle, answered my questions and spent a good amount of time with me. I went to Dr. Franklin for a second opinion. The good doctor allayed my fears of the work prescribed by the other dentist that I saw. He explained in detail the pros and cons of dental work, and the time to get the work done. After a thorough examination, Dr. Franklin said I have a gentle bite. Overall, I've had nothing by superb assistance from this office - from Sierra, at the front desk, to Grace, who took the Digital 3D X-Rays. Turns out root canal was wrong too!!! didn't put a post when it was needed. And sure enough crown is botched as well. I urge everyone who had issues to contact the California dental board. I did because he's so unprofessional. Had another root canal and crown done with him. Around the same time and that one too has a gap between where food gets stuck. At this point I'm gonna contact an attorney after I talk to dental board because that crown was paid for cash, and I don't want him touching my teeth because he leaves them worse each time. I regrets going to this dentist my tooth throbs at times I'm afraid it didnt seal correctly and I have a cavity on my tooth. I don't know what this man uses to seal them it's terrible!! Terrible dentist!!! Save time hassle and $ do not got there. I got a crown, two weeks later I noticed I had a gap between tooth and crown, food was getting stuck and smelled bad, go back told him the issue ha wanted me to pay $120 to clean the gum I told him it smelled bad because the food getting stuck!!! I left angry. Decided to get a water pick and got me antibiotics just in case I was developing infection. I used the water pick and sure enough food came out and smelled. I went back and told him the issue he was focusing on another tooth I told him I was there for the crown not to worry about my other tooth. Anyway he agreed to replace it after I insisted, I go to get my tooth ready for the replacement and for the temporary cap and instead he filed it down and since it was a big gap the crown looked terrible crooked I told him I was there for replacement like he had already agreed and even had it on a sticky note on the tray. He looked annoyed! I just thought you don't file it down before asking if it's ok with me. I refused cause it looked very crooked on the inside . A few weeks later I go in for new crown he cemented it, literally 5 minutes late,I had to go back cause it fell ugh! He filed down my tooth and I believe cleaned the crown . He re-cemented it put it back and two weeks later I noticed I had gaps everywhere and it was loose. Had to contact insurance to file a complain and will definitely call the CA, dental board. Terrible dentist do not go with him I will see what gets done and find another dentist. Malpractice, doesn't listen to you, and doesn't understand what you're saying every time he tries to make it better he makes it worse 1

Over one year and a half! My new dentist told me that the pain will very likely persists for years and nothing can be done at this point. Dr. skinner told me that I am sensitive to fillings. He tried to explain that different teeth respond differently to dental work at different ages, because my another dental filling done many years ago never sensitive. But, I recently got fillings done in China and NONE of them are sensitive and painful. ALL the fillings done here were sensitive and painful! So, it is HIS fillings that are sensitive and painful but NOT I am sensitive to dental work! After his fillings, I have seen a couple dentists for pain and even flied 18 hours to the other side of the world to seek solutions. Jesus, nobody can stay calm with such annoying pain and sensitivity for over one year and a half, very likely two, three or more years. Well, I will definitely give them zero if can.
