Barely did my cuticles which was why I went there in the first place. Went back the next day to question the amount because it seemed high with even 15% off and was told about the prices and the shellac. I honestly feel that she played me and pretended not to understand but her grown daughter spoke perfect English so she didn't just arrive a few years ago! I tried to explain that shellac does not work well with my job, and sure enough, 2 weeks later it started to peel. Just my experience and will never return.

ENVY took me right away! They were so accommodating, friendly & clean. I actually had to leave mid-way during my pedi (10 mins) & said I would return, Kathy seemed hesitant but I don't blame her! Before I get into the details as to why I'm only giving 1 star let me clarify and say that this…read moreisn't for the salon as a whole or the owner. The majority of the staff and the owner seemed like wonderful people and if my experience had been with any of them it probably would have been great. My regular stylist (from another salon) was out of town and I needed a quick trim as my ends break a lot from bleaching and it was uneven. The stylist I was given seemed extremely nice and knowledgeable at the begining, but I was uncomfortable with her long nails and the way she pawed at me when washing my hair, it was uncomfortable but I looked passed it. What I did find odd is that after getting a conditioning treatment which took 30 minutes...it took her another 1.5 hrs to just do a basic trim. She seemed very uncertain about what she was doing and each cut took her forever. She even clipped her own finger and had to go put a bandaid on. She seemed very uneven in her work and would spend more time on some areas then others and it felt like she was unfocused and maybe forgot what areas she had done and which ones she didnt. When she was straightening my hair, I was very concerned with how many times she would go over each peice since it should only be done once or maybe twice but not 10 times. It also felt like she was ripping the ends and I could hear and feel it tearing which I mentioned to her but she brushed off. I also noticed she was making the ends curl inwards which is a style I'm not a fan of and so I asked if it could just be straight instead. In the end when she showed me the back of my head I noticed that the cut was very heavy at the ends, it didnt fall nicely and it was choppy and a bit uneven. I mentioned to her that it seemed like one side was a bit more uneven and if she could touch it up, she argued that is was fine and it's an optical illusion because she had curled it inward and then straightened and it was my fault for changing the style. She ran the straighter over the ends again and showed me, but it looked the same. I repeated what I said earlier to which she answered angrily "I have no idea what you're talking about!". I was taken aback because up to this point, even though I felt she was very unskilled we had remained very friendly and pleasant. The whole point of showing your client their hair at the end is to ensure they are happy with your work. You have to have thick skin and not take it personal when they have a question or might want a small adjustment because not everyone will like everything you do. I was so shocked by her angry response and obvious stance that she wouldn't do anything more, that I decided to drop it and go, so I said "nevermind then, it's fine." I saw she seemed very annoyed and since I was not wanting to leave things on bad terms I quickly added "I'm sorry, I really wasn't trying to be rude or anything." To which she quickly snapped with a glare "Well yes you are! You're very rude!". I was soooo shocked! I've never been talked to by a stylist that way. I've never been treated so badly. She was so unprofessional, so unskilled that it made the styling that much worse. I could have overlooked the bad cut and just gotten it touched up elsewhere if she was half way decent. The bad review is because of her attitude. She ended up just walking off and the owner who was very sweet stepped in and did a small touch up. She didn't fix the cut, but she at least tried to make the situation better. She explained that this stylist had only been with her for 2 weeks. Well, in my opinion, you should get rid of her unless you're okay loosing clients and getting bad reviews. I'm allowed to have an opinion on how my hair is cut and how I like it to be done. Especially since I'm paying for a service and it's going to affect the way I look everyday. So in the end, I paid $78 for a rediculously long 2 hour bad and choppy trim and left with a heavy hair cut I hate...feeling really shitty and insulted by this rude and horrible staff member. Not going back!
