I'm glad I did, because my experience with them was excellent from start to finish. Bruce, Chris, and Mr. Cilento were very professional, patient, and accommodating throughout the entire job. I have a Navien boiler, which is efficient but also very sensitive and requires special training to service correctly. They clearly knew what they were doing and were well trained on this type of boiler. My boiler had several issues going on at once, and they stuck with it until they found the problem and repaired it properly. They also took the time to answer all of my questions without any annoyance, and they gave me helpful information about my plumbing and boiler so I can better understand it going forward. My appointment was confirmed for between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. At 8:30 AM, they called asking if they could come immediately. I explained that my family was still getting ready for the day and that we only have one bathroom, so I asked them to honor the original appointment window. Then, at noon, I received another call saying the technician was on the way. They didn't arrive until about 20 minutes later. Two technicians came in, looked at the drain issue, and quoted nearly $800 plus tax. Because this is the only bathroom in my home and I needed the problem fixed, I really didn't have much choice. I approved the work. Here's the part that bothered me: the entire job took less than 15 minutes. To be clear, the drain is working and the technicians were professional. I have no complaints about the quality of the repair. My issue is paying nearly $800 for what amounted to a very quick service call. When the technicians walked out the door less than 15 minutes after they arrived, it was hard not to feel like I had just paid an emergency premium price for a routine fix. To make matters worse, I continued receiving automated calls from Roto-Rooter trying to schedule the appointment that had already been completed and paid for. That gave the impression that the scheduling and customer service systems are not well coordinated. If you need immediate service and money is no object, Roto-Rooter will likely get the job done. If you have time to shop around, I strongly recommend getting multiple quotes first. Looking back, I suspect many local plumbers could have performed the same repair for significantly less.

A wonderful man (Billy) came to the house and said that we would need all new copper piping and a new water filter. He said the office would call back with an estimate. They did the next day for $1,950. As we had no idea if it was a fair price and we trusted Billy we agreed. They would send someone over a soon as possible. We got a call later that day and said a guy would be there that evening. He came, he barely said two words, I had to chase him outside to take the old pipes with him and left with no manual or tool for water filter. When I looked at the job that was done I realized that not all the pipes were replaced. I wrote emails and they sent Billy back who was able to get me an adjustment of a few hundred dollars. He said the plumber that came was there night guy and normally dealt with emergencies (obviously not customer service) I inquired about the filter and he asked where the tool that is needed to replace the filter and I said that it had not been left. He said he would have the office send me a replacement. After a couple of months I remembered that I never received it. I sent another email and he told me to send him a picture so he could order it. This all happened six months ago. Why I remembered it, is because today we had another plumbing issue and I called ARGO Plumbing on a Sunday before MLK Day. He called and walked me through how to manage until he could get there on Monday (the holiday). That's how you want to be treated. I felt cheated by Tim.
