I was referred to Dr Lu by the nurse at Swedish Breast clinic and I was so glad I found her. She's the most open, honest and kind surgeon. I had a deep tumor remove along with a major reduction to even things out afterwards- a 6 hour surgery and 600 + stitches. I trusted Dr Lu with my life and body and I'd do it again. The office is immaculate, there are several photo albums full of real patients before and after. Some types of surgery require grafting and highly technical work- all my grafts healed beautifully and everything works as it should and looks great. Dr Lu does post tumor/cancer reconstruction, she does purely cosmetic work, she also does medically necessary breast reductions. She knows the billing and insurance requirements for covered procedures and even had a supply company who mailed me the special foil wrapped medicine bandages and billed insurance for me. This was a scary, and yes- painful (hello, surgery!) process but I knew I had the best surgeon in our area and she was honest so I was prepared for the drains, healing, grafts, etc. As for that one negative review: I don't think a person should write a post about not trusting a surgeon because of one appt time error. As for not letting her talk to the Doctor- that reviewer doesn't sound like she has realistic expectations. Go see Dr Lu- free parking, quiet private office and amazing talent and care. I had an arm lift by Dr. Egrari several months ago. I will start by saying his before and after…read morecare is amazing with great nurses that walk you through everything. During my consultation Dr. Egrari he told me he would also do liposuction (paying for it) to remove some extra fat from my arms but when I asked his nurses after surgery if liposuction had been done they told me it hadn't. My results were not anywhere near what I expected/desired. I was left with approximately two inches of loose/jiggly skin and my "after" looked like someone's " before photo." I was obviously very disappointed and upset after the money spent and the painful recovery. I discussed this with Dr. Egrari during my follow-up appointment. He basically gas lit me saying the results were proportionate to my body and that my arms looked better than before. When I lifted my arms and showed him the excess skin jiggling like a bat wing, he told me that even twelve year old's have arm jiggle. If Dr. Egrari would have validated my disappointment and acknowledged that the results weren't optimal I would have continued to have trust in him knowing this could potentially happen. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. He did tell me that we could meet in 6 months and if I was still unhappy we could discuss my options to see if I still felt I needed it, but doubling down that he stands by his opinion that my results were optimal. I'm not sure how extra time would solve anything, like in 6 months my arms would miraculously tighten up and the fat would disappear. I flew out of state to get a second opinion from a highly respected surgeon who told me that I had well over two inches of loose skin that still needed to be removed along with some additional fat that required liposuction. He also said as time went on the sagging would get even worse. I'm very upset that I have to pay for another surgery and start all over. While I believe Dr. Egrari does some things right (runs a safe practice with great before and after care) I believe his surgical approach is far too conservative resulting in a disappointing outcome.
