My new one didn't have the parking sensors I had loved on my original car. Howard and team installed sensors on my new car and he made the process incredibly simple. Called them at 3pm Wednesday and asked if they could look at my Jeep with three sets of LED Lights out with no appointment. Howard told me to come right down. He spent a decent amount of time reorganizing my wiring up near the battery and some fuses. He also properly mounted some fuses that were previously getting some water exposure. Also, one more thing, I had bought a Mercedes with a weird ashtray and no charger...I didnt want to keep it that way, so I asked around to see if there were any "compartments" that didn't have an ashtray (that had been used) I was able to replace it with a new, compartment...without an ash tray-and the guys at Phantom Electronics were able to make it work and I got a charger in it! My radio was broken. Thought I could live without it but realized I really did need it (talk radio and music). The first place I went to made an appointment and said I would have to buy a new one. A new radio plus installation was going to cost me over $400. Thought I would check out Phantom Electronics on TO Blvd. across from 24 hour fitness. I took my jeep wrangler in because my stereo had been intermittently loosing power. Howard said he thought he knew what the issue was, an interface module. Which he replaced. Much to my dismay the following day the issue returned. So I brought my jeep back in a second time. Howard discovered a recall issue on my jeep where the fuses in the fuse box may become loose over time. Howard put a tiny bit of solder on the legs of the fuse (even did a second fuse for a backup). When I asked him how much I owed him for the second visit he said no charge. I said I had to pay something because they spent time on it. He said, and I quote, "if in a couple months I haven't had any issues and I'm feeling flushed with money I can come back in and pay" It has actually been at least a month with no more issues, so I'll be back, haha read more

These guys are great and very helpful. I brought my truck in for a new stereo head unit and back up camera and they did a excellent job, the stereo unit looks amazing. Unfortunately the back up camera that was chosen for the tailgate handle wasn't going to work so they installed the license plate one, which was more expensive, at the price we agreed on for the handle one. Howard then went through all the functions of stereo and camera settings and answered all the questions I had. These guys are the only ones I trust with the electronics and stereo system for my truck. They even installed an alarm when I first bought my truck after the Toyota dealership couldn't be bothered to. Howard and the guys at phantom are very professional and efficient. Bought a used truck with a Gerry-rigged radio. Went on the fritz so much I justified getting it replaced even though the truck cost $7k. Howard showed me my options and even though I thought I would shop around the customer service was so good I forewent any competitors. I've been looking for a shop to upgrade my stereo in my F-150, since my stock 6 CD changer stop playing cd's and added SiriusXM to the truck. I went to a known shop and made appointment but then got sticker shock at price (which should have been done at time of making appointment), in short out of my budget and another shop was shady, so looked for other shops outside my area. I found Howard and Phantom Electronics and the Yelp reviews were really good. So, drove to T.O. and got there around 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon, explained my issue, what I was looking for, the trouble I had. Howard listened and gave me options, touchscreen or buttons, sat radio, CD/DVD. I didn't need navigation, back up camera. Showed me my options instead of just showing me only one option, did the numbers and gave the price. Which I asked, that's everything, with tax, any other weird stuff. He said that's everything, the parts, additional wiring, labor and was in my price range. So I asked when could do it, by this time, they will close in about 2-3 hours, Howard checked with his installer and got me in. His installer ran me thru all the options, controls, paired my phone, explained pretty much everything. So if you need anything done with your stereo, speakers, Bluetooth, all that stuff, save your time, make the trip to T.O. aka Thousand Oaks and Phantom Electronics, Howard and his entire staff are complete professionals with their customer service, work and not selling you what you don't need, only what you are needing and wanting. I purchased a pre-owned Lexus NX and discovered roof damage including destruction of rooftop GPS Antenna which required replacement and reconnection. At a fraction of the cost of what the dealer and an independent body shop quoted me, Phantom was able to do the work which included removal and re-installation of the entire headliner of the interior, installation of new components to the exterior antenna and securing it properly to the roof. The repair area was absolutely pristine and the new antenna works perfectly. Yes... I had to wait a bit of time to get an appointment, as they are busy because they do such great work... and it was absolutely worth it. Brought in my Grand Marquis for a component front speaker setup that sounds just like I was looking for, nice and clear with a good front sound stage that the muddy knee level 3way speakers already in it just couldn't do. Great customer service. I had electronic walk away locks put in my Audi 7 years ago. They haven't been working for a few few months now, so I scheduled to get them looked at just to see if there was anything that could be done. I honestly didn't think they could be fixed considering it was so long ago and considering what I originally got is now so out of date and probably no longer used. Listen up guys, Howard SAVED ME $300! - And that's not even the best part about my experience with Phantom Electronics. I brought in my 1988 Volkswagen Vanagon Camper because my Kenwood radio wasn't turning on at all. Shortly before going over to Phantom, I was at Al and Ed's Autosound (and I really don't want to trash talk another business but I feel like it must be said in this particular circumstance) Al and Ed's performed a very sloppy inspection and told me my radio was fried and they could replace it for $387 total. Absolutely ridiculous, I just had a gut feeling that they were scamming me. I immediately drove over to Phantom Electronics and they took a look at my sound system and they instantly realized that my radio was completely fine, just a blown fuse. They solved the problem VERY quickly and thoroughly, and to be honest, it was truly the best experience because of their HONESTY. Howard and the team at Phantom Electronics are simply the best. I bought my truck, a brand new Toyota Tacoma 2015 quad cab, and decided to take it to Phantom Electronics, based on a friend's review. I was not disappointed. The owner, Howard, was extremely helpful and informative. I told him what I was looking for regarding sound quality and budget, and he worked with me to find a sound solution that was amazing both on the level of audio quality and financial constraints. Before I even put a cent down, Howard had me listen to several different speaker manufacturers, even going as far as to encouraging me to bring in a CD compilation of music that I would be listening to on the regular. I did this, and can not explain how much it helped. Howard knew exactly what I was looking for, and he made recommendations based on my music tastes while keeping my budget in mind. After four months, I could not be happier with my German Maestro component speakers and Memphis subwoofers. Upon installation, Howard and his skilled team of technicians helped me achieve optimal sound with my equipment, and he surpassed my expectations of what good car audio could be. On a side note, the OEM backup camera in my truck would not initially work with my new Pioneer head unit. Howard worked with me, personally, over email, to find the correct adapter to make this function work. Once he found the right component, he ordered it and installed it at no charge to me. This is business practice at its best, folks. I would highly recommend Phantom Electronics to anyone looking to upgrade their existing car audio system with something worth listening to.
