While others passed on an issue I was having on my face, she had a hunch something was wrong, cut it off, and sent it to the lab for analysis. It ended up being skin cancer! Dr. M barely talked to me before prescribing me medication. He kept trying to leave the room while I was still talking to him. I asked him a question, he shrugged and walked away without answering me! The medication he gave me was very strong and hazardous to take. Dr. M didn't discuss the medications many side effects, many drug interactions (one of which I had), risks of taking the medication (which include cancer!), or handling instruction (you are not suppose to handle the medication with bare hands!). I had serious side effects. He told me to keep taking the medicine because the side effects will go away. After 2 more weeks on the medication I was bedridden and almost hospitalized from side effects. I went to see him about it, the first thing he said was "I don't need to hear about it" because I was just dehydrated. I told him that the Mayo Clinic website says these are symptoms of a severe reaction to the med. He told me "Everything is a side effect" and that it wasn't from the medication. And told me I could do "Whatever I wanted." WHAT?!?! I consulted another specialist. They were shocked and told me to spot talking the medication immediately because I was on the verge of having a heart attack (even though I am young and health). WORST DOCTOR!!

However, my pain was a 10 out of 10 for 4 days after surgery. They prescribed they lowest does of Narco, the generic form, and dosed it 1 evry 4-6 hours. It did nothing so I called my doctor and he told me I could take two at night, which provided relief for 3 hours but I could not sleep due to the pain. This happened every night and I also had bad pain during the day. On the weekend, I called twice to the on-call doctor, explaining my pain and how the drugs were not working. He prescribed 10 more of the same med and dose. When I called in the next day because I could only take 1 Narco (which is Tylenol plus hydrocodene) due to him only prescribing 10, he added Robaxin 500 mcg every 8 hours to take in addition to the Narco, Still, I was in pain. They insinuated that I was going to get addicted to the narcotic and I told them that I never take pain meds except when I have surgery. They made me feel bad about calling them and I don't even think they believed me. I went into the office on the following Monday so they could check for a hematoma. I did not have one but still was experiencing alot of pain. They prescribed Ultram at that point. Patients should not have to suffer after major surgery. It is their job as doctors to manage our pain. They prescribe the cheapest generic drugs that don't work. I hope this helps when selecting a place to get surgery.
