Visited on a weekday morning and really enjoyed this place! There's a good amount of street parking nearby. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy, although there aren't a ton of seats, so might be hard to get one if it's busy. Prosciutto sandwich was really good, and a good size too. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. Overall a great experience!
The coffee options are so fun. The flights (original and fall themed) were amazing and a perfect portion of each drink. We also got the avocado sandwich that was also pretty amazing. Not the best service. Not super warm / friendly and despite it being a new place, not very informative. However, the vibe and coffees were really good. Whether you're looking for a coffee date and chat or reading / focusing this is a nice place to try! Despite the service, I will be going back!
Overall a Cozy Spot with great coffee and unique options. My mom and I ordered their seasonal fall drink tray and the regular. The matcha: Pretty good quality, all the grassy, smooth notes you want in the matcha came through and it was a very comforting experience. Solid quality matcha. It tasted better than the typical culinary grade and more like ceremonial grades I've tried. The Strawberry Rose Espresso: As a big tea drinker I know a good rose drink and this hit the spot. It was a very nice blend of espresso, rose and strawberry that allowed each note of the ingredients shine through. The espresso was pretty light and didn't come through strong like a lot of other places do which surprised me. For this drink it worked well. The Ube: Fantastic vanilla, buttery warm notes and the marshmallow was a fun touch. I've had many Taro and Ube drinks/ice creams and desserts and this wasn't lacking. The other drinks I didn't particularly enjoy and they weren't memorable for me. I think their espresso isn't very strong and the darker more chocolate notes don't come through like I'm used to. I believe it was a lighter roast from what I tasted in the drinks. If you like that then you'll like the espresso. Overall a good spot with a nice selection of shots/drinks for those wanting to expand their palate.
Such a cool ambiance for a Louisville coffee shop. Good craft coffee is hard to find in a city filled with pour over obsessive hipsters; I feel this is a much needed add to Louisville coffee culture. Service was fast and kind, and got to play some of the board/card games while eating an incredible prosciutto sammy. Will be back everytime I come home.
The decor in this place is very cute and cozy. There's a good amount of indoor seating, along with shaded outdoor seating on their patio. It's always busy so be prepared to duel for a table. The Roseberry latte is my favorite but, in general, all of the drinks here are on the sweeter side. I prefer naked or half-clothed coffee drinks -- just black or with a splash of milk -- and occasionally I'll splurge on some sweetened cold foam. But this is more like dessert coffee. This was my second visit, and I just discovered that they serve food. I didn't order any since I had just eaten but the toasts looked very yummy. I'll return occasionally for a treat or to chill in the inside seating area.

She said it was super good, super refreshing and not too sweet. It was hard picking a favorite but if I were just choosing one I'd probably go back to the butterscotch. Ube latte I got was fantastic. I got it only lightly sweetened and that was perfect. It tasted like I was drinking a baked good. Dirty latte was the ube latte with expresso. We got this regular sweetened and it was a bit too sweet but great. Prosciutto toast was delicious, and a good amount of food. Avocado toast was more filling and also nice but nothing special. The bread in both were the best part. It was a sandwich so we actually took home our extra bread. Lots of good seating, great natural light and a back patio, very cute decor. I was there on a busy Saturday morning so this could be why but the tables were a bit dirty. Overall I love this place for a treat but the prices were pretty high.
The shop is so cute!! They have ice cream and food but we stuck to drinks this time. It was our first time in so we decided to go with the flight of their speciality drinks. They were all very Instagram worthy by looks and tasted great. I'm surprised to say I think the beet drink was my favorite of the flight. We tried the strawberry matcha as well and that was extra yummy, it will be my go to when we go back. They had a nice little back area as well, would be a great place to sit and read a book.
I visited Phalcha on a hot summer afternoon in Louisville. I tried the dirty Ube Latte based on the staff's recommendation. It was excellent. The flavors were unique, smooth and perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness and espresso. The staff was warm and helpful which made the experience even better. The cozy ambiance adds to its charm and makes it a great spot to relax.
Went to Phalcha on a Sunday morning around 945am and it was packed! Street parking. Ordered a cortado and coffee flight. It took 35 minutes to get both because of how crowded it was. Husband really enjoyed his cortado. The flight was sweet and tasty but I wish there was more of the drink/less foam. I would need another coffee afterwards as well. Would like to return when less crowded and order a regular drink. Pastries were tasty but I should have asked to have them warmed up.

I love seeing new coffee shops pop up in town! Gives us more spaces to hang out in. When my sister and I came in on a Sunday, they weren't all that busy. Most tables were taken but it's a small room. I tried the ube latte with almond milk while my sister got the rose latte iced. Not bad! Great flavors. They're Nepalese. Falcha is a Nepalese word. Pretty cool! Parking was easy to find. We found parallel right across the street. read more

10/10 Matcha Strawberry and the ice Matcha flight is very recommended. The place gives you a warm home feel it cozy and cute in the inside and the outside is perfect with great shade from a beautiful tree in the back. read more

Walked in and was greeted right away. Took a minute to decide what we wanted and went for a flight and a ube matcha. Everything was delicious! And the space is so nice, music is at a good volume and there are so many comfy places to sit. Excited to come back and try food. read more
Such a fun and inviting place. It's small inside, but they have seating outside also. You order at the counter from the nice workers. I got the Dirty Ube Latte which was fantastic! They have a cool coffee flight that I would like to try sometime. My daughter got the Ubeville which is the Dirty Ube with pumpkin spice. It was so cute and delicious. They have sandwiches, waffles, and ice cream too. My daughter got the tuna sandwich and she said that it was awesome. We will be back. read more

The Instagram photos lure you in and then you can take your own because the drinks are just like the ones you see on social media. Staff was super-friendly and accommodating. This was my first time back since I was in the neighborhood. It's essentially a former old store in a residential neighborhood converted into a cute coffee shop with a nice atmosphere. Service was pleasant and the coffee was good. It's a small place but there were some tables available to sit and enjoy my coffee. There is an outside area where you can sit and drink your coffee also. I'll wait for cooler weather to try that out next time perhaps. read more

Cozy coffee shop right on the corner of the street. I've been there a handful of times but it's always peaceful, decorated, and friendly. Pretty good music plays in there too (Frank Ocean shout out) Though cozy, this shop has it busy times throughout the day where you might not be able to grab a seat or find parking, the most relevant cons in my opinion. I love how innovative their menu is, they're constantly rotating signature specials but always have what I'm asking for. For example sometimes I go to coffee shops in town and ask for lavender syrup and most places won't have it until the spring Phalcha only offers one size for all their drink options which is about the size of a medium but I think you can get just about anything cold or hot. Last time I ordered the Roseberry Latte but I do enjoy their Ube Lattes (just trust me and make it a dirty ube latte, you want some expresso) I feel that Phalcha's coffee is super balanced and my drinks never go forgotten about how bad coffee usually leaves my attention. Instagram worthy, Phalcha is a fun place to explore coffee and flavor pairings, take some cute pics, get some work done, or to catch up with friends. I just wish there was some type of reward/loyalty system like a punch card?? That would definitely keep me coming in weekly. Still definitely a great place to visit I'd rate it a 4.7 read more

Small but mighty!!! The interior of this spot is admittedly small, and if you're coming during peak hours be prepared to sit outside or not find a spot at all. However the coffee & food is worth it! The coffee flight is so fun and is predetermined so it takes away and he guessing game, or indecision. My favorite was the Ube! It's such a great way to taste different things without having a whole drink of something you don't like! I tried the prosciutto sandwich and loved it! I tried my friends waffle and it wasn't as tasty, so stick with the prosciutto;) Overall this spot is delightfully fun and good for the taste but can be crowded at peak times! read more

An amazing cozy coffee shop in the neighborhood! I ordered the signature iced coffee flyer. All of the four looked extraordinarily fantastic, and tasted so delicious!!! The baristas were also super nice and friendly. A nice spot for study and chatting as well. Their creativity of making coffee is impressive!!! I took my three-year-old daughter to Phalcha Coffee today after seeing that they had both coffee and ice cream. I was really intrigued by the Ube Latte I had heard about, so I knew what I wanted going in. I decided to order it hot (instead of iced) and dirty (with expresso). It was phenomenal. A hint of vanilla. Earthy. Beautiful. It was just what this Mama needed after sending my son to kindergarten for the first time. This is a comfort drink that could easily become an addiction. My daughter had cookies and cream ice cream. She rarely finishes her ice cream, but she polished this off without offering me a bite. I can only assume it was delicious. The aesthetic of this establishment is right up my alley. The rich colors of the plush chairs and couches mixed with the exposed brick has a timeless feel. The walls are adorned with hanging plants and decor with a boho vibe. The employees and the customers both exuded warmth and kindness. The barista encouraged me to take my time and helped describe the menu. A random customer offered to take pictures of me and my daughter. It made for a perfect little outing with my little one. I feel like I've only grazed the surface of things I want to try at Phalcha Coffee. The sandwiches, waffles, and other specialty drinks sound and look incredible. What a cozy cool addition to the neighborhood! I can't wait to work my way through the menu! read more

What an absolute gem!!! Omgosh I'm so happy this place exists! I enjoyed every bit of this place. From the ambiance, adorable coffee cafe with amazing staff. I got the coffee flight and all the flavors were divine. I did upgrade one of my flight flavors from matcha to strawberry matcha and it was the best decision! The donut was perfection and you could tell the cream was fresh and delicious! Tommy fave flavor was the strawberry matcha. As someone who doesn't like matcha this was amazing and tasted like dessert! Get here early cause it does get busy! read more

Unique coffee options, has great vibes inside and a patio to enjoy outside. I bring my two dogs and the staff always give us a doggy bowl for water! It gets pretty busy, it's more of a "coffee date with a friend" than a study or work spot, in my opinion. read more
Having been away from Lou for a couple of years, I was blown away by the recent additions to the local coffee shop scene. Phalcha was just one of the great new coffee shops I was able to check out, and I enjoyed my beverage and my visit. I even had a couple of pretty meaningful and thought-provoking conversations with strangers on this crowded Sunday afternoon. An all-around good experience, and I look forward to a return visit. read more

This was my first time trying Ube and matcha and they were amazing! We had to get the flight to try, but next time I would probably just get a Matcha latte because it was fantastic! The staff was so accommodating to help us secure a seat on a busy Saturday morning. The shop is adorable and definitely a new gem of the neighborhood. read more

The space is vibrant and upbeat. If you want a quieter spot, try the porch swing in the back. This was my choice as I wanted a more peaceful environment. The staff is cheerful and accommodating. I returned to try the iced drink flight. Each was good and this experience allowed me to find my favorite, butterscotch. I was happy that the flavors shone through instead of sugar overload. It is such a pretty flight that you taste before you drink. Previous visits, I've had an Americano which was good and a dirty ube latte which I'd probably not order again as both flavors (coffee and ube) are muddled in this latte. I appreciate that the staff defaults to real cups instead of paper. I think the prices are on the higher end for such cafes. If you are curious, the name comes from Nepalese word for 'porch' and represents a place for refreshment and visiting with neighbors. It is a lovely concept for this place. read more

Such a cute place! We enjoyed the flight and a fruit waffle. All the flight flavors were delicious. The waffle had good flavor and the fruit was fresh. I would reccomend the Ube drink, my favorite. Although my granddaughter enjoyed the Matcha drink. read more
This place is so cute! We ordered the iced latte flights and loved them. They're reasonably priced and taste great. They even have little babyccinos for $1 for little kids to enjoy. All of the staff were super friendly and service was quick. Definitely my favorite Louisville coffee shop right now. read more

Such a cute cafe! I came here after seeing some social media posts about a flight of drinks & got a sandwich along with it and it was the perfect place to catch up with a friend and enjoy a snack and drinks. The staff was very helpful as I have not been here before and took a little longer to order and help steer me in the direction of which sandwich to get. I would definitely come back. The space isn't very big but there are two tables located out in the front. read more

This coffee shop has quickly become a neighborhood hotspot. And it's easy to see why. The coffee is unique and delicious and the atmosphere inside is very chill and welcoming. Hopefully more outside seating can be added because the inside fills up fast, and people like to stay. I've only had the Butter Bliss and Dirty Ube lattes so far, and both were incredible. read more

Kind employees and always great service. Phalcha is a small and cozy coffee shop, and SO good that it can be difficult to get a seat during busy times (worth it). The food is also amazing, they have great toasts and waffles! I have never had a bad drink or experience here. The seasonal drinks are delicious, and the matcha is always bright and fresh. read more

A great place to come for a solid cup of coffee. They have amazing signature drinks as well. We tried their prosciutto sandwhich was savory and crispy. The coffee flight had various selelction with Ube latte being our favorite. 5/5 for everything we tried. Highly recommend. They use their beans for their espresso from Safai Coffee! read more
