Clements Pest Control and lawn services guaranteed that thye could improve my lawn over my last…read moreprovider. I had to sign a 1 year service contract, but they provide no guarantees. In early July '23, I contacted them about multiple areas in my yard that needed help as I was seeing thinning grass, browning and lots of weeds throughout.. They didn't respond. A week later, I contacted them again, with no response. They finally showed up in the 3rd week after my complaint. They stated that the damaged area was due to lack of water, yet the rest of the yard was green and this damaged area had green blades scattered throughout. I called the service manager, but was ignored after multiple calls to voicemail. August 9th, their regional manager showed up at my house and "verified" the damage was due to lack of water. He stated that my sprinklers were the fault and I need to address that. I have over 20 years experience with sprinkler systems and their operation and never had issues in these areas, but he's the expert, right? I put a cup in the center of the damaged area, ran the sprinklers and measured 3/4" after that zone ran. Plenty of water was getting there. I called my previous lawn company and they determined that the lawn was damaged by chinch bugs. I haven't had chinch bugs in over 10 years, until Clements took care of things. I also had fire ants and now moles digging through my yard. None of this for 10 years, so I cancelled service with Clements and went back to my previous company. I would not recommend them as I now have to replace about 3 pallets of sod at my expense.

Then we noticed that on the…read moreevery-2-month yard spray, the Clements tech would pull up, stick a sign in the yard to stay off the wet spray, and then leave without ever spraying. When we called, we were told that the techs were probably putting in the sign, leaving but returning later when we didn't see them to spray...which was lind of insulting to my intelligence. We switched as a result. So, when they actually sprayed, we were happy with the results. But I was unhappy with being billed for work not done, and then the completely idiotic response when we complained. Review is noted as from California. We're in Vero Beach. We set a date I took off that day and in the morning they call to postpone it, saying they have some more urgent call, no respect for my time. I asked them what if I have an emergency on my A/C they said they will be able to come that day but they will charge $89 for diagnostic. We set an appointment few days later. The technician came and told me that one of the unit need a new blow motor. I have a full labor and part warranty from the MFR. but they charge me diagnostic charge off $89 + $ 150 what they call "processing fee" which is a simple money grab. sound to me to me like a form of classic bait and switch technique.( they came the flowing week and change the motor it took the technician only 15 minutes sharp to replace the motor, they got $150 from the MFG as Josh told me + 150 +89 =$389.) As far as the 2nd unit it was working perfectly well before they "serviced it" 2 hours after the technician left the system shut down and I noticed that the pan below the system which was bone dry was full of water water the technician said that I need a new drain line which they will charge $1000, Called other companies and replacing a drain line run $500-$800. Turned out that the drain line didn't needed a replacement but just a correct opening the clog. I did pay them the $ 150 "grab money" but they called me already twice to pay it. Just remember when something look too good to be true it probably is. Don't fall for their $29/$39 bait.
