Not only was the work done by end of day but the mechanic explained to me in detail exactly how he modified the new part to ensure smooth action. Friendly, competent, amazingly affordable. Terrible customer service. Young kid working couldn't help me with shoes which is fine. Told me the owner would help. The owner said he'd be right with me yet he continued to help a grown ass man find a $80 helmet. Dude I'm here trying to spend $200 on shoes just help me with your inventory. Get it together bud. DFC, you are so underserving of any stars. You are the last place I brought both our bikes. Not only did you not fix the flat, you even rotated our handlebar to the point that my pedals are scratching against the tires when I pedal. In other words, you rotated both of our handlebars and I didn't even asked you to! I discovered this too late after my move out of the city. read more

Go somewhere else to have you bike repaired. Took my road bike in for a tune up. The first ride after the tune up the bike would not stay in a gear. When i took it back they charged me again to adjust it. read more

I took my basic bike in for a tune up and the friendly guy who was working did it right away while I waited and only charged me $8 because it didn't need a lot of work. As somebody who clearly doesn't know much about bikes I really appreciate not being ripped off. read more

My favorite bike shop anywhere! Greg and Keith are the best at fitting your bicycle to your body. They both spent an hour fitting me to my bicycle and did not charge me for their time. Came in late on a Saturday (which anyone who's ever worked in retail knows is the worst) to get a new tire for my son's bike and the gentleman said he would fix it right then while we waited. He also adjusted the brake to make it easier for him to use for no charge. All of this took less than ten minutes so he charged very little for the labor and couldn't have been nicer! Will definitely go back--I couldn't have bought the part and done it myself faster or cheaper! read more

I am doing a triathlon in May and was looking for a good (and economical) starter road bike. I am 5'1 about 190lbs and was having trouble finding a used one that would be to my height. I called around and the man that answered at DFC said they had two used ones that would fit me. When I go they have one that is about $500 and the man that helped me said that the bike wouldn't fit my size but didn't care to explain why. I figured out later that it was too tall for my build. The second bike that did fit me was about $300 but looked very old. The man just stood there while I looked at the bike and tried to get on it. Said it would need some stuff to be upgraded but didn't give me any information unless I asked a question. I ended up leaving. I was very unhappy with the customer service. I am very new to the whole cycling world and now know that I will not go back to that place for ANY of my future cycling. It was as if the worker did not consider me worth his time since I was only looking at a $300 bike and not a $2000 bike. I ended up buying a bike at Broadway bikes and there's no comparing the customer service. So if you're looking for a first time bike or want good customer service I would recommend going to Broadway bikes and not setting foot in DFC read more
