The owner, Russ, worked with us, our neighbors (who had an adjoining driveway), and the Village of Fontana to reach an agreement that truly worked for all parties. Unfortunately, the only thing that they seem to be good at is providing estimates, and following up…read morefor payment. They are also very good at scheduling 4 hour windows for when to expect them, but that is only because they do it so often. In my case they missed the first 3 scheduled appointments. 2 for running late, and one because they showed up but didn't have the equipment needed. The job itself was supposed to include Hot Tar Crack Fill ($100 for 10 major cracks) and Sealcoating ($150). When they arrived, the job took about 20 minutes as they applied hot tar to what I guess you could argue was 10 cracks, and then they slopped on some sealcoating that was not spread evenly leaving sealcoat squeegee marks/lines. I submitted the pictures attached here stating that I didn't think this seemed right for a $250 job and received a reply offering to redo it for an additional cost. I replied back, again pointing out that the cracks that were filled with tar was not done properly and the cracks were not filled, but did not receive a response. Just more requests to pay my overdue bill. What's even more frustrating is that the contract specifically states that there is a 2 Year Warranty for Any Hot Asphalt Services, I guess Hot Tar isn't considered a hot Asphalt Service.

BEWARE Dave's Sealcoating Had them replace entire driveway…read more Lack of communication / no shows. When they finally did come, it was pouring rain and had been raining for days, I noticed some problems right away. Driveway has lumps/Ripples/ Divots, Asphalt is breaking away. Driveway is less than a year old and is already cracking & Splitting ( which is why we decided to replace the old driveway) The owner told me to wait it out and it would smooth out. I sent them a 2 page letter including pictures, clearly stating the issues. Shocking, as times gone on it's gotten worse. Owner told me he sees nothing wrong with the driveway. I asked him to at least adjust the final bill based on these issues. Nope! Said he wouldn't do it. Now put a Mechanics Lein so he can get paid the remainder of his money with an increase every month. You look at the pictures or stop by and decide for yourself if this is the company you want to work with.
