They advised me on the best filter for my tank (which wasn't the expensive one), set it up for me and were only short of coming home with me to place it in the tank!! Although i'm sure if i asked...they would have. Overall the service, value is second to none.....this will be my one stop shop for all my fish's needs!!

I always find these pet superstores slightly daunting as there are so many different brands and options but the staff really could not be more helpful. Importantly they are helpful in a nice genuine way and are not pushy or like they are trying to hit a sales target. They have a really good range of pet supplies and seem fairly average on price - they have good monthly deals that they publish in a little magazine. I love that they have a "try before you buy" day where they pick a different food every Saturday and you can get your dog to taste it and see is it to their liking ! Although that sounds really precious and ridiculous healthy pet food is super expensive and there is nothing worse then when you fork out for a big bag only to have the dog turn his nose up at it. So this way you can get a little sample and make sure they will eat it before you buy. They have lots of other in store events like vet talks and advice. Another great service they have is the dog weighing scales - as I have a fat little sausage dog that is trying to loose weight it's great to be able to weigh him without going to the vet You can also make donations in store to animal charities by buying a little extra food or some treats and popping them in the donations bucket for less fortunate creature. On certain days they have rescue pets in the shop that are looking for new homes - I can't visit the shop on those days or I would end up with a menagerie ! All in all this is a great shop with great staff and i certainly won't be going anywhere else

pokey, smelly with tiny dirty cages and really odd staff make for a scary strange experience. a…read morefew years ago they extended the shop but failed sadly at that point to improve the housing of the animals. they have lots of stuff for the pets but the animals look so sad that i wonder why they want to sell us stuff but can't see that their own animals need care too. they really need to clean up their act. such an opportunity they have to have a successful nice business in the city but i think people are not hearing good stuff about them.

I have been to it on 2 different occasions, 1 month apart, the second one just to see if it had improved. If anything, it was worse. My next step after this review is to try and get in touch with animal cruelty agencies to report it. The worst pet shop I have ever seen, in 3 different continents!
