Can I buy a star ?? 5 stars is just not enough !! Firstly the shop is amazing - like a cross between a mini zoo and a great pet supply shop. They have stuff for all sorts of animals and can give you some really specialised advice. The staff here are like a family - each one nicer then the last. They are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable that I continue to shop here even though I am now on the other side of the city. I bring my nephew a lot as he adores all animals and gets to see all sorts - last week they had some tiny new born bunnies but each time I visit there is something new and interesting (from talking parrots to meerkats) I have had two stand out experiences here over the last year - the first was when i stupidly lost my keys. I was a bit distracted as I had a 3 year old with me and when I got home couldn't find my keys anywhere. I called the shop and they ran off around the store to see if they could find them - unfortunately there was no sign of the keys but they told me if I hadn't found them by closing time to call back and they would go through the CCTV footage to see if I put them down anywhere. Really above and beyond ! (tuned out my nephew had hidden the keys in the vegetable basket) The second stand out experience was last month - my little sausage dog has developed an allergy. I messaged the shop through their Facebook page and they replied looking for my number. They called me and spent ages on the phone talking me through all the options I had to treat him. They had so much practical advice and treatments that had worked for similar dogs - the guy who called me sounded so genuinely concerned about the dog and really wanted to help me. They are just fantastic and if you have pets or even are just interested in animals and want a little look around this should be top of your list - TEN STARS read more

I have recently returned from Spain and I have two small dogs. One is a Miniature Yorkie and the other is a Yorkie Cross. They are aged 13 and 11 years old. I tried to book them in to have them groomed at Kinsealy Pet Store. The lady had the Groomer return my call. The first question he asked me was, how old my dogs were. I told him and he said that he would not groom my dogs. I asked why and he explained that he did not know my dogs, he did not groom them in the past, he did not know their history and "for safety reasons" that he would not groom dogs over 10 years old. I asked, if my dogs were only 7 and 9 years old and even though he had never groomed them in the past and he did not know them or their history, would he groom them and he said "of course". I find this unbelievable that he could base his decision to refuse grooming purely on the dogs age. read more

Get a leopard gecko there. Turned out to be blind and died after just week. Employee in the store told me this exact gecko was his favourite since it came in. When I asked if it is eating well I was told this is one thing I don't have to worry about for sure because she eats everything all the time. Now as soon as I brought him home I noticed it is a male not female like he claimed. To be honest that wasn't much of a problem but after 2-3 days I realised the gecko was blind, isn't eating and its not pooping. I found dedicated lady who helped me take care of him as he needed assistance with feeding and kind of special care but he didn't make it. I recon if he was treated properly bit earlier there would be a high chance in saving him. The most surprising thing for me though was the fact that employee claimed it was his favourite gecko but didn't notice problems with it, on top of that if you are not certain of the sex don't claim you know it because that's not helpful especially with gekos where males are extremely territorial with one another. Overall I give a star because that's lowest score, with experience I had that should be 0 stars. Oh and the smell in the reptile room was just unbelievable !!!!
