Very very expensive compared to other shops . Don't know how they get away with it . Won't be back

Shauna was really helpful in finding a food for our dog! Also ordered online and had a great experience.

We are honestly so grateful to Shauna, Andy, and the entire team for looking after Leo our 4-year-old Leopard Gecko. Leo was unwell for several weeks - not eating, not going to the toilet, very tired and just not himself. My mother found Shauna's pet shop online and contacted the page, from there they were so helpful giving us recommendations to try get Leo back eating and back to himself. When we had no luck in getting Leo to eat, they took Leo in to get a better look at the situation and to try get him to eat, they gave us regular updates text and picture/video. They went above and beyond for Leo when they took him in, he still wasn't eating for a few days, they ordered him in critical care food which he had for a couple days until he started eating locusts again. We have no doubt he got the best care he could've gotten because when we went to pick him up after his weeklong stay, he was a new gecko! Full of energy, back to his sassy self. They also helped us out with a new vivarium set up which he is so much happier in. If you are looking for great, affordable animal care this is the place!! Popped in here early yesterday morning just to pick up some sawdust as I was passing and thought the staff were very friendly. Shaunas is a pretty small shop but is well enough stocked and has a good selection of basics. They didn't have a huge amount of animals which I actually kind of like, although I'm not sure if there was a downstairs stocked aswell (I saw one of the staff appear from the downstairs stairwell but I didn't go exploring.) Cages were relatively clean and animals all looked happy and well cared for! Card sales are for purchases of a minimum of €10 so if like me your shopping list is a cheap one, bring cash! I did like the yelp check in offer though, 10% off any purchase over €30, would be really good if you were looking for somewhere to get an expensive animal cage or a bigger purchase in town! Great location for any shop & having found it front and Centre from a quick search and having followed Apple maps directions to the door it shows how seamless things can be when you put a little effort behind your digital profile! After visiting a chain pet store I went in to Shauna's pet shop yesterday just to see what they had and was met by the most amazing people. Caroline answered every question I had and was very informative while still making me feel comfortable in the store. If I had any questions, I was able to message them on Instagram and they responded within the day and where super nice! The staff where so friendly and you could tell they love the animals. Because of the amazing staff and loved pets my family are now letting me take home 2 lovely rats. I honestly could not recommend anywhere else. read more

What a wonderful place! Clearly they love animals and know there stuff! I only went in to find a medal for my cat, to then get it engraved her name should she get lost. They had a full service , medal and engraving, at a reasonable rate, and super fast! And beautifully done! Shauna was lovely and helpful, the animals were happy, and there was a buzz about the shop. I normally steer clear of pet shops as they can be traumatic and expensive places, but Shauna's is different. I can easily say that it's the most trustworthy pet shop in Dublin. The staff is so friendly and very, very well informed about all the animals in the shop. Can literally answer all your questions. I often go in there just to have a look at the pets and chat. Never felt unwelcome in the shop, I currently can't get a pet as I'm a student renting a house, but as soon as I get some stable job and a big enough house it will be the first place I will go to for a pet. Great value for really sweet and healthy pets, also have very good deals for a pet and a cage and all accessories :) I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a pet birdie or any other small pets !! I have to say I love this pet shop! I bought 2 rats there last year and they're the healthiest rats I've ever had. Most people don't realise this but the shop sells the best rated foods for pets and even some over the counter medicines! This could save you a lot of money! I've never met such a caring person who will go out of her way to look after her animals but also her customers. I highly recommend this shop to everyone! read more

Used to be the Best pet shop ever. Now all they care about is money. I had the misfortune of meeting coimhe to buy a hamster. I asked to reserve it yesterday on messenger and she said fine and to come in today. She asked if I had a cage I said yes, great I'll see you tomorrow. When I arrived travelling a long distance (over 20 euro in a taxi each way) then got rained on. She decided that I had to buy a cage for her as mine wasn't large enough. It's the biggest one a available in Argos and bigger than the one they keep him in!! I was not informed of this when I reserved the hamster. I said ok I will order one 0.8m in length on the internet when I get home and will have it in a few days. To this I was called a liar and she said I wasn't going to but a new cage that I had to buy an overpriced cage from her. She was very rude and condescending and her customer service is disgraceful. Horrible girl I won't be going back there to be treated like dirt. I have gotten 3 beautiful hamsters from Shauna over the years and they lived happy wonderful life's. funny how they can keep animals in smaller cages than we can. read more

We just a bought a guinea pig from this place and they were very friendly & informative. We tried a few pet shops but we were left unsure and you can tell Shauna has a love for what she does! Thanks for the help (we named her Lemon). Long live Lemon!!! read more

After comparing this pet shop with others around the city center, I decided to give it an extra star. The negative aspects still remain, like aquariums not very well kept, and birds in not so great shape, but I did see some improvement since last reviewing. Staff is very friendly which is a plus. Hopefully it continues improving! read more

Wonderful shop, the staff really know their stuff when It comes to animals care, went in to purchase a hamster and was very happy with the knowledge the staff had of its care. Will definitely be visiting and purchasing from as often as I can - I can't speak highly enough! Very happy indeed! read more

Staff is rude and unwilling to help or give advice. I bought 5 fish and they all died in a few weeks.

Best pet shop in Dublin City. Clean, well stocked and very nice professional staff. It has pretty much everything your pet needs. I just wish I lived closer! :( read more

Very good. They had a surprisingly extensive selection for such a small space and were very helpful, giving me dates when they could have missing items in stock. Excellent knowledge of products available for both cats and fish. The shop was packed but I still got practically instant, personal service. Very impressed to be honest. read more
