Well, had to reschedule my dogs appointment twice I believe. The second time I just forgot the time was at 9 and in my belief it was at 11. They never called for confirmation the day before. Called at 11 the day of and they stated that I was banned from taking my dog there. They stated they would give me a call back to go into more detail and they never did. As far as dog grooming they did a great job. As far as customer service....terrible. People have busy lives, things come up. I took my 5month old dog for his first grooming today. I was 10mins late to the appointment and they were nice about still taking me. Although , I specifically asked for just a trim and the groomer who took care of my multipoo said she'd do a puppy cut. When I picked him up he looked terrible all I could do was just laugh in pain. Idk if this is what a puppy cut is suppose to look like? Or what a multipoo haircut is suppose to look like but I don't think this was it. read more

Not sure what sort of training the groomers are required to work there, but people should beware. I was told I could get something they called a "face clean up," when I called with specific requests - I wanted my Standard Poodle's 'top notch,' or poof of fur on the top of her head cut shorter by about half and reshaped...I wanted her face shaved clean, and I wanted the hair pulled out of her ears - a standard service for Poodle's, but one that Petsmart groomers rarely perform. I was told I couldn't get "ala carte" service, but the face clean up would be perfect. When I got there, the groomer asked me how I wanted the top notch cut. I told her to take off about half the length and reshape it. She seemed confused, and wanted me to pick a shaver length. Hello? They are hand cut...not shaved. And why am I supposed to educate a groomer on how to create a smaller top notch? I should have left right then and there, but I knew my dog had an ear infection, and I needed the fur plucked from her ears so I could take her to the vet. When I returned, my dog's top notch was gone. As in, it no longer existed, and she looked nothing like a poodle. The fur on the top of her head was no longer than an inch, and tapered to the same length as her short body cut, at the back of her head. It will take me at least 6 months and 8 visits with a REAL groomer to get back that look that IS a defining feature of the breed. As for the shaved face? DID. NOT. HAPPEN. She had 1 streak of shorter - not shaved - fur, approximately 1.5 inches long, that simply ran down the center of her snout. Not sure what purpose it served, but it was a far, FAR cry from having her face "shaved." The only thing they did manage to do right was pluck the hair from her ears. So while my gorgeous dog was able to see the vet for treatment, even HE asked me what groomer has slaughtered her face and head...and I left with 2 recommendations to "real" groomers. Why didn't I stay, complain, make them fix the mess? Nothing could make the top of her head look less stupid. And I chose not to have such incompetent people touch her further by shaving her face like they should have to begin with. For all I knew, the groomer had no clue how to do the job, and my dog could have been injured. I chalked it up to a $20 ear pluck...and left. Oh...and I DID complain about the destruction of her top notch, and the groomer said, "well next time..." Uh...no. There won't be a next time. read more

This is a very helpful PetSmart. Even though it's not the closest one to me, I'll drive a bit further to visit. The difference this store has over other locations are the employees. If you need any help finding something, there are plenty of workers around to ask. And they aren't rude or short about it. It's nice this location has employees who really do care about their customers and their job. read more

This place is a complete and total joke. My husband and I called to pet them know we were running behind because of traffic. They told us we had 15 minutes to get there. We walked in right at the 15 minute mark and they refused us after we had already drove 45 minutes up there. The employees are completely nasty and rude about the whole situation. And then the time before we took our dog there, they both came back with fleas so we had to bomb out entire house. They're overpriced and not worth what they charge. Next time I will drive to Toledo to get my dogs done. read more

I don't shop here because you can usually find better prices elsewhere, but I have some in for the groomer a few times. We have a small 30 pound mutt, with short hair, so all she really needs is a bath and a nail trim. Like most dogs, she does not like to get her nails trimmed, which is why I pay for someone else to do it. I was planning to take her to get a trim, and figured I might as well give her a bath while we were in there (although she didn't really need one yet). When I made the appointment, I specifically mentioned that I needed her nails done. When I dropped her off I again said, "she will get her nails trimmed with this treatment, correct?" Yes. When I picked her up and asked if she got her nails done, I was told no. I explained that was really the reason that I came as I had young children coming to stay with me, and her puppy nails can still cause some damage when she jumps on you. I am told "well I tried, but she really does not like getting her nails done." Yea, I know that, that's why I bring her here. Mind you, when I dropped her off I saw a lady wrestling with a huge St. Bernard to get his nails trimmed, but they couldn't handle my little beagle mix. She suggested I take her to the vet to get her nails done. I asked "are you telling me that you will never do her nails, and to not come here in the future?" "uh... I suggest your vet." It's a great place to take and care for your dog. I use the banfield located in the back of the store for my dogs shots and check ups. You can get a wellness plan so that you can make sure that your pet gets the treatment he or she deserves. Everyone here is very nice, from the cashiers to the vets. They make you feel like part of a family which is important for the member of the family that you are here for. Petsmart is a great place for Pets and pet lovers. read more

I'd taken my tea cup chihuahua to have his nails trimmed a few times and it was a great experience. The last time, however, they told me I must leave the room (the previous times I'd stayed) I told them he is great when I'm near, but they insisted I left. Before I got to the front of the store, I could hear my dog SCREAMING and crying. I ran back to find him whimpering and yelping. His little nails had practically been trimmed/filed completely off! I got home and set him on the floor and he could barely walk!! I will NEVER go to any Petsmart again as long as I live! read more

If there were negative stars I'd use them. I just had surgery and had to have my husband leave work to take my dog to the groomer. When he got there they refused our vaccine paperwork. We had the rabies vaccine certificate (3 year) and the paperwork showing other vaccines. It says CERTIFICATE OF VACCINES and is the only type I've ever seen. It showed that the next rabies was not due until 2017. This paperwork was accepted by our veterinarian but not a groomer?!?! My husband called me while he was there and the girl just continued to argue with him and the manager took the side of the groomer. We will NEVER go back to Petsmart again for anything. read more

I took my dog here twice for grooming. Both times my dog came back looking like a completely different dog and not in a good way. They did exactly what I asked them not to do and they cut him all the way down to the skin. One of the times I even found a cut on his skin from the grooming. Horrible. Do not recommend in the slightest. Please don't completely shave my dog without calling and asking or without my approval. read more

Usually I don't have a problem with petsmart but, this particular location offers challenges to its customers. From 9-5pm it is pretty well staffed with knowledgeable employees. However After 5pm it feels like a treasure hunt to locate a staff member for help.. Especially in the fish department; As I walk threw the isle towards the fish department there was one staff member dancing and playing cheerfully in the isle ( very long brownish hair, glasses, 17-19 years of age, 5'4-5'5, slender build). I assume she would be on her way to help me soon.I stood in the fish department for 20 minutes waiting/looking for help. I tried to get the cashiers attention to no avail. So, without any other options I pulled out my cell phone to call the store that I was currently standing on to ask for help in the fish department. The person that answered the phone and finally came to help me almost 30 minutes later; was the same girl dancing in the isle. She identified herself as a manager but, had no name tag on.
