The groomers have been great! My cocker spaniel does not become anxious when I take him there.

Oh now their charging for cancellation. $20. I asked months ago for my dog to be cut Paws and nails Was quoted about 60. Got there they bathed her and groomed and charged over 80. They change rules monthly. No notice. I'm sorry but people need to know what they're getting charged!! Groomers are good. No problem with that. It's the money thing. I took my 3 dogs here for 10 years. Heather did an amazing job on them. Then she ended up leaving. Someone else named Hannah started grooming my havaneese. She did a horrible job, cut him and didn't even let me say what kind of haircut I was asking for. Which he was just a very well behaved puppy. She told everyone that worked there that I complained and was never happy. Which is so far from the truth I never complained ever in the 10 years inhad went there with my dogs. The owner then called me and accused me of the blame and didn't even care what me as the customer was even trying to say. I was shocked...like twilight zone. So I guess be careful who you trust with your animals. I won't go to this place anymore. I hope other people find out who they truly are...not nice or friendly since new staff Hannah! read more

I've taken my pup here faithfully for a little over a year now. The gals at the groomers are great and the owner is the sweetest, you can tell she really cares about her doggy clients. Love that this place has a self wash station too. Minus one star because I've had difficulty booking an appointment, but that's a given due to Covid and capacity limits . read more

I've Been Coming To them for almost 3 years and they waited until after i paid for my dog haircut for them to say they messed up , they the lady at the front desk was so rude and said it's "no big deal" she was needs to learn how to talk to people or find a new job!!! read more

Someone recommended calling this place because the last place I went, DOWNRIVER GROOMING, hacked up my dog and the owner would take no responsibility. So I called and they told me they were not taking any new clients. So I purchased a dog grooming kit that comes with attachments. I've never done it myself so I was unsure as to which attachment does what. The directions don't give you that info. So thinking that since they can't get me in they could at least tell me which attachment would be the best ones to use for my pup, I called and asked and the receptionist, Nicole, said they were too busy to talk to me and answer any questions. Really ? Great customer service, huh ? It would have just taken a few minutes of their time to answer one simple question. I guess this is the world we live in now where a business doesn't care if they get 1 star or 5 start reviews and keep their reputation in good standing. SMH *** Side note*** The Manager Laura did end up calling me back but was very rude and unhelpful. Some people should not work in customer service. I guess that's why they work with dogs because they can't say anything, but you still have to be polite to the owners. When you own a business you want to bring business in not deter people from coming because you're unpleasant to deal with. read more

Only place I will take my dogs too. Both my dogs struggle with separation anxiety and HATE getting clean. One of them even growls when you say bath. They have both dogs in and out, any other place would keep my dogs for hours. True dog people. Ive been bringing him here for two years, never had a bad experience until today!! I came home to notice he had one of his paws gushing of blood from them cutting his nails to deep. the fact that they never had the audacity to admit what they did tells me all I have to know about this place. I've never seen him whine this much I also have never seen him this drowsy in the 5 years of me having him, I can't even tell you how messed up this is, also for you guys to put it on me and tell me its a skin irritation when u guys knew for a fact that I was gonna see it after coming home also tells me what kind of shit place this is. WHATEVER HAPPENS TO MY DOG is definitely going to be on you guys for this poor service that I have received, I will most definitely be telling people who are looking for a pet spot to NOT! bring there dogs to u guys, so sad to know that after 2 years things have gotten so ugly! read more

Our Lacie has always been treated very well here by owner, Theresa, and staff until today. She is a Brittney, her hair gets matted which the groomers with trim out when giving her a bath with nail clipping. Today was no exception. I called to find out when she would be ready after 1.5 hours & the girl said that it was taking longer because the mats were hard to get out. I said I know this happens & normally the girl trims them out - NOT SHAVE! I did not hear back until it was time to pick Lacie up and she was shaved. NO call, they just shaved her. The matts were not past the point of no return! Besides she is a Brittney & should not be shaved! Single coated breeds get shaved. A Brittney is a double coated breed that DOES NOT get shaved! I should have received a call if it was more than I thought so I could make the decision. No One Called Me! Very frustrating! I do have a call into the owner & hoping to hear back, but I have to wonder what is going on! read more

have used them for years for my Brittney with no issues but this last time they claimed matting on a sporting dog that I pet and play with every day and literally shaved her. Terrible experience, I took my 8 month old pomeranian here last week for a wash and trim. They took it upon themselves to shave him bald and gapped. They blamed it on him being matted, he had a beautiful coat prior to bringing him in. The groomer was incompetent, it took her 3 hours then charged me$70. read more

My pet peeve was takeing Audrey to a groomer at 9 and not having to pick her until 1 or even 2, which means she was put in a cage for the remaining time she wasn't being attended to! My friend used this place and told me she was called less than 2 hours after she took her baby in.. I am so happy I found this place, I have been there twice and have been very happy with both cuts, from 2 different groomers. Also was called with in 2 hours to pick her up and...... she was noticeably less stressed. The place is very clean, and quiet for a grooming place! read more

Splish Splash Pet Wash - Audrey Strohl - Pet Groomers Near Me - Taylor, Michigan

Very professional looking and clean facility with friendly staff, a cute boutique & bakery. My groomer was a very nice woman who took the time with me to discuss how I'd like my little one to be pampered while she examined to ensure a wonderful result. I was quoted a price, told they'd contact me when finished (apporx 1.5hrs) which was right in line with their website stating: 1-2 hours. 1hr, 57min later I received my text to pick up & arrived 7 minutes later as not to incur the late pick up fee. My little one came out wagging her tail, happy & BEAUTIFUL! I was so happy UNTIL..... I move to the counter to pay & schedule our next appointment & told my total is higher than I was told. I asked how that could be, especially after all the prep during drop off and the price I was told. The owner tried to give me a list of reasons: #1. Matting: which required extra time. -Don't you advertise it takes: 1-2 hours? -Didn't it take you 1hr, 57min? Hmmm... What extra time did you spend? #2. Size: "Well, we quoted you based on a 15-20lb size dog. Your dog is 35lbs." What??! No she's not! I've had her for 6 years. I know how much she weighs. I asked her how she came up with that weight and she replied: "I can tell by holding them." Then she told me she had a scale to weigh her in front of me to prove it. I was thrilled because I knew there was no possible way she weighed that much. Unfortunately, the owner was unable to find her scale. Again now... hmmmmmm..?? Isn't it odd that I paid for a flee treatment application and she selected the 15-20lb size dosage? If she's telling me my dog is 35lbs than why isn't she giving the larger dose for her size? Again, hmmmmm....?? To wrap this up: I was given two choices: Pay the NEW price or the Quoted price, BUT if I chose the original price: I would no longer be able to return. I'm sure you all know which choice I made. Lol. As I placed my card in the credit card reader she did manage to let me know this wasn't shocking to her because of what she's heard about me from another groomer. What?! I was so caught off guard by the character assassination that I confused the name of the groomer she told me & told her I had never had a problem with them ever. Which was true. I was even more shocked when I finally realized the place she was talking about was actually my current groomer who I have an excellent relationship with and only went to Splish Splash because she was going to be having surgery this week and would be on a leave of absence. We were literally texting the night before & I was wishing her a speedy recovery! That's what made me realize this was beyond a crazy experience. For goodness sakes; I've brought them business and promoted them throughout my private community and have their business cards at the door I pass out to my neighbors!! Omg. That's when I finally concluded this was just too much! The woman who owns the Splish Splash was really grasping for straws here, trying to accuse me of lying, attacking my character while conducting business. As a business owner she should know better. I, as a business owner do! It's a shame, because I loved the way my dog looked, but it's business 101: "You only get one chance to make a great first impression!" Unfortunately, you didn't rise to the occasion Splish Splash owner woman. :( P.S. I got home and weighed my dog.... 18.5lbs! read more

I took my previous dog here for years since they opened. I've been taking my new senior pup for almost three. Years. Never a bad thing to say. Last time her face hair was really long so this time when they asked the same...I said face a little shorter because it was longer than the rest of last time. (like a helmet). I also said I'd asked last 3 times for bows. Well.... I'll let you judge. First picture is a year and a half ago from same place. The second was this Tuesday. She looks like an idiot! Been disappointed the whole year and after 10 years I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

We have taken our long hair Chihuahua Coco and your prior visits were always great until this last visit. We pickup our dog and my husband noticed his behavior was not normal. when we got home his walking was limited so we took him to the vet and was advise that he had a pinch nerve. Called Splish Splash and we were advised that when they were grooming him he collapse on the table. Neurologist stated he had multiple disk herniations causing him a lot of pain. 3 weeks later and $5000 we had to put him to sleep. Definitely something happened to our loving dog. Sometimes honest is the best policy but not saying anything until you call to inquire is worst. Please use caution when your pet behavior changes question it. read more

I love this place! The staff is very friendly and my dogs always look like super stars leaving there. They take great care of the fur babies and they're very prompt and don't take all day. I was able to call on a Saturday and get my Husky and Cocker Spaniel in the next day. It's hard finding a good groomer, but this place is definitely the best. I won't ever take my pups anywhere else. Keep up the good work! Avalanche and Jake thank you! read more

Always had a great experience here! Took my dog the other day and his haircut turned out great! We love patty

Love this place. I took my little guy here back in June, he's a Pomeranian and I wanted to get him ready for summer. I'd taken him other places and was dissatisfied with what they had done. This place was very clean on the inside. They asked me what I wanted done and I said to just clean him up. They did a fantastic job! He was thinned out and overall looked really sharp. I think he was much happier too without all that fluff. I'm so glad I found this place. It was well priced too, I think I paid $30. He's small around 11lbs, I think the charge by size. I don't think they take walk ins not sure on that one, but I liked that he had an appointment and when he was done a few hours later they called me to come pick him up. One thing I didn't like is that the service was lacking. They just weren't super friendly. When I went to pick him up I walked up to the desk there were 3 people behind it. They were talking amongst themselves and no one said anything to me, not even a hello, which I thought was kind of rude and awkward. I work customer service so I know it can be tiring so maybe they were just having a bad day. Needless to say I will be taking him back again soon. When I do I'll post pics of the before and after, the transformation is really amazing. read more

Missy & I think this place is great! I have a 3 year old Yorkie and we keep her hair cut short (Puppy cut). I usually get her a spring/summer cut and a fall/winter cut with a (face, feet & fanny) trim here & there inbetween. The very first time I made an appointment here, I had a $5 off groom by mentioning their website in my inquiry. I'm not sure if that's still offered, but I highly recommend checking their website first for any promotions or discounts and most importantly for general information which may answer any of your questions. They have a well kept information system which allows them to keep up with who groomed my dog previously and how the hair was cut or any other preferences worth noting. The staff takes care of Missy and treat her like she's their own. She's called by name as soon as she bounces into the door. There are a couple of other places that we enjoy, but the location and familiarity of Splish Splash Pet Wash makes us return. read more

We are new to the area and just rehomed a seven-year-old Pomeranian. I was having a hard time finding a groomer that would take on new clients. They rescheduled for me and got me in right away. They did a really great job on her. I appreciate the Great customer service read more

I brought my 14 year old Shetland Sheepdog, Shawnee, here to be groomed yesterday afternoon. We had been here twice before, so we know that Shawnee is a little bit more difficult to work with due to his older age (He has a hard time standing for long periods of time). So when I approached the employee at the front desk, Alyssa/Alisa, I made sure to offer to stay and help if they needed someone to help hold him up. I also made sure to mention that last time they had cut too close to the calluses on his elbows (front leg joints) and to please be careful around that area. 2 hours later I pick up Shawnee and notice huge open wounds on his elbows (see pictures) and asked the staff what had happened and if any antibiotic ointment had been used. An extremely nice older women who seemed to be a groomer helped by applying some medicine and showed concern for my dog. I had then asked to speak to a manager, she was not there at the time so I had an employee text her and ask to call me ASAP. I received a call this morning from the manager, Theresa, and she attempted to convince me that the wounds were derived from bathing Shawnee. She stated that they had noticed the wounds after the bath and avoided shaving the area. I have given my dog many baths in his lifetime, this has NEVER happened before. There is absolutely no way these large open wounds are from a bath. Theresa also offered no apology or concern for my dog either. I'm very frustrated and upset for the lack of care and compassion for my childhood puppy. I would like to warn anyone who thinks of taking their dog here, especially if they are of an older age. I WILL NEVER BRING MY DOG BACK HERE, I'll be the only one grooming him from now on. I also apologize for the graphic photos, just want everyone to see the consequences of a negligent dog grooming establishment. He also had been taken to the vet and given an antibiotic ointment for anyone concerned. read more

The owner, Theresa, is the rudest and nastiest human being I have ever encountered. Does not know how to treat paying customers or resolve issues in a professional way. She's combative, condescending and has zero customer service skills but like she said herself she doesn't care about reviews. What kind of business owner doesn't care about their reputation? Never mind the fact that I paid a different price every time I brought my dog in, which was usually every 2 weeks, always for something that was never mentioned prior. Groomers did a good job 90% of time which is part of the reason why I kept coming back. But the owner's lack of accountability for their mistakes, their lies and nasty attitude was the tip of the iceberg for me. My advice: All is good as long as you NEVER deal with the owner. Better yet, go somewhere else. read more

Use to frequent here, have never had issues. Until recently I was running a few minutes late and was treated very rudely. Even after apologizing for running late they demanded me to pay up front "which isn't an issue but have never done this in the past" and that I would be charged a $15 late fee for each dog. They are in the service industry not me... Good customer lost for being treated poorly, taking my business elsewhere. read more

This is the best self serve dog wash in the area. I like the walk up tubs, easily movable stairs, & the little removable door into the tub, the water pressure is good & shampoos good quality (I did bring my own this time to try some new product I just bought). The dryers work well, and the work table is a good height and secure. Good sturdy rubber mats so nobody slips away. I really like the way they have little individual rooms to use, my dogs felt more relaxed that way, less distracting all around. Price is fair, employees very nice, even after my female pooped all over the lobby! (Bad girl, Roxie!) Second visit, will def. be back for all baths. So much easier than doing at home in the bathtub. Clean, simple to use, lots of help offered, two thumbs up for Splish Splash! read more
