the muffin paws that needed a trim
    Adele H.

i brought my cat here today for her first nail trim at the groomers. i have only had her since april 2024 and she is very young still but shes not letting my trim her front paws at home anymore. she lets me do her back feet and turns into a wiggly worm when i reach for her front paws. i originally came over the weekend, which i didnt know their cat groomers were off, so i came back today (tuesday), and they were able to take her in for a walk in trim within 20 minutes. since my cat has never been here, they just asked that i provided my cats rabies paperwork which was no biggie. i believe the women who helped was sandy (the cat groomer), and another groomer who i wasnt able to catch the name of (both of which were super nice). everyone was very sweet and she was the only pet in the grooming room during her trim so i feel that may have helped. although she does like dogs, i feel she wouldve been too excited lol. anyways it took less than 5 minutes and they said she was very good and sweet. apparently she went straight back into her carrier with no issue! only $15, plus a treat for being such a good kitty. i will 100% be bringing her back for future trims.

This is 5 weeks after there last grooming and they still look excellent

This review is for the grooming department. I have a 3 1/2 yrs old and a 8 months Malti poo . My groomer for them is Jasmine O, I started taking mason here when he was about 2 after having so many bad experiences at private groomers. Let me tell you she won't disappoint you and she is so loving and caring towards both my dogs. Kai she's still a puppy and had two haircuts . The first one she gave Jasmine such a hard time but she was able to give her an awesome first haircut. My mason loves her. I have all my family and friend going to Jasmine. I'm also a hairdresser so I referred my clients to her. I had to get Kai's nails cut in a spare of the moment when the salon was about to close and Sandy did them since Jasmine was off. Sandy was so great and amazing with her nails trim.

Blood from the cut. It may look small to you but it should not have happened.

If you are reading this DO NOT bring your dog in for grooming. My dog was nicked during the grooming. The groomer said nothing and I didn't realize until I got home because the bow was covering. Also it's the day after and all she's doing is sleeping she's not herself. I don't know what they did to her.

My pet cat has recently made the transition over from "adult" cat to "senior" cat, and that necessitates me buying him Science Diet food, which is not something they carry at most stores like Target or Wal-Mart. I was referred to this Petsmart by my vet so I knew it was a safe bet to check out for my fuzzball's needs. Located in a shopping center with a humongous Shop Rite, storage facility, Chase bank and restaurant Petsmart is definitely located in an ideal spot. The store is *huge* and is not just a pet shop or pet food joint. Instead, it is more of an all-in-one pet center. In addition to carrying an amazing array of pet food and care products, Petsmart also boasts a veterinary service, an adoption center and a dog training area with certified dog trainers. I've witnessed these classes and they're usually group classes where everyone appears to be having a lot of fun. The prices at this location seem reasonable. I say "seem" since I've only ever bought one type of cat food here, but if you sign up for their Petsmart card you wind up paying .79 cents instead of .95 cents for a can of Science Diet senior food, not a bad discount! Among the animals the store sells are gerbils, birds, hamsters, lizards and fish. Cats and dogs are only available via adoption, which I was happy to see (there are tons of animals who need adoption, so why spend hundreds of dollars on one?). Service is great, with plenty of helpful sales people on the floor and fast check out. I've made Petsmart a regular stop on my shopping route, I'd suggest you do the same if you're a pet owner.

My now-husband and I were in the midst of planning our wedding when we decided to adopt our beautiful puppy, Oreo, and we wanted to ensure that he could be a part of our wedding. Thank goodness we found Happy Bark & Tails. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They put on his cute "best dog" scarf and bow tie and handled him while my husband and I got ready for our wedding. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family. They transported him to the venue, took him back to our hotel, and stayed with him until we got back. We couldn't have asked for a better company or people to work with! They also documented our wedding day with photos from Oreo's perspective. The gallery of photos was beautiful and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Happy Bark & Tails for all your wedding pet care needs. They were great to work with and we have already recommended them to another couple!

It was so important to us that our two pups be included on our big day, and Madeline made sure they were both included and so lovingly cared for. One of our pups is 15 years old and as anxious, adoring pawrents we were worried about her ability to navigate our wedding venue and the excitement of the day. Those worries quickly dissipated because Madeline cared for both our pups as if they were her own, and we effusively recommend Happy Bark & Tails to anyone who loves their pup and can't imagine their wedding day without them.

We absolutely couldn't be happier with Linda at NJ Fix My Dog and the incredible transformation of…read moreour dog Millie. As first-time dog owners, we tried our best to train Millie on our own, but it just wasn't cutting it. We constantly struggled with obedience and her inability to listen to us, intense pulling when we went on walks, jumping, getting mouthy - the list goes on and on. We felt defeated and insecure - but as soon as we talked with Jean and Linda at NJ Fix My Dog, we felt hopeful! They assured us Millie was the kind of dog that could be helped, and they'd be happy to step in.  Throughout Millie's 2 week bootcamp, we received frequent updates from Linda on Millie's progress, photos, and videos. We missed her but we knew she was in excellent care and learning so much everyday. After the 2 week bootcamp, Linda brought Millie home and we were in shock at how well-behaved, and well-mannered suddenly became. The day she came home, Linda spent over an hour with us going over what Millie learned and how to work with her going forward. She also gave us a full document with an assessment of Millie's overall behavior, how to continue to enforce what she learned, and how encourage her along the way.  Before bootcamp, we dreaded going for a walk with Millie because of how she behaved when she saw other dogs (pulling toward them, whimpering, getting anxious, etc.), and how she walked in general (tugging and zig-zagging the entire walk). Now she walks like an absolute DREAM! Right at our side, a nice little trot, ignores other dogs, people, squirrels - everything! We could walk her all day long now, and we look forward to all our walks! Millie used to ignore us when we called for her, or told her "no" if she was doing something we didn't like, but now her recall skills are excellent and she runs right over to us when we call her. She doesn't even try to attempt the bad behavior she used to do, like jumping, getting mouthy, etc., and instead happily relaxes. Her overall demeanor used to be just a little bit intense, always on the lookout for something to get into - but now she is so calm and seems at east with herself. Linda worked WONDERS! We learned so much about Millie through this process, and we truly feel comfortable with what Linda taught us to help Millie be her best self. We feel like we have the tools we need, and the confidence. We feel the support of NJ Fix My Dog now even after Millie is back home - we know Linda is just a call or text away if we need any help.

We were seeking some help with our 13 week old Lab mix puppy's aggressive play issues…read more(nipping/biting) and other behavioral issues (walking well on leash, not dropping items off floor, ground, etc.). We were fully aware of what a puppy goes through at this age, however, we had never seen a puppy so independent/head strong before. Given we have two young daughters (9 & 5), we wanted to ensure our puppy established a solid behavior foundation. We found Jean & Fix My Dog after unsuccessfully working with a few different trainers online. Within the first 30 minutes of our session with Jean, we had already learned so much about both our new puppy's and our own behaviors. After the hour was over, we were very confident we had found the right place to help us with our puppy training. Given the current pandemic, we hoped to find a trainer that could not only help with the behavioral issues, but also socialize our pup well enough to other dogs, people, children, etc. As a result, Jean paired us up with Christy, a trainer who lives on a lot of land, has dogs and other animals, and plenty of people around to help socialize our pup. We spoke with Christy on the phone to go over her approach, felt great about it, came up with a list of behavioral focus areas, signed a contract, selected a day for Christy to come pick up our puppy, and off she went for 2 weeks! The training process was handled so well.. Christy kept us informed with photos, videos, and lots of daily updates. We were even able to do a few online video sessions to see our puppy and to ask questions about how the training was going. It was 100% clear that our puppy was getting the attention she needed and was being trained as part of a family and not as just another dog in a training facility. (SO IMPORTANT!) We were noticing tremendous progress with our puppy over videos after the first few days of training. When she returned home after the 2 weeks were up, it was almost as if we had a perfectly re-wired puppy. It was absolutely clear that the training was effective and our puppy now had a solid behavioral foundation to work with. Christy and her family were extremely loving with our dog, and were clearly able to address all of the behavioral points we asked for through positive reinforcement and appropriate correction practices. Upon her return, we received many instructional videos and a manual to keep us (owners) in line on how to maintain all of the great work put in place. If you were like us, seeking a trainer to help build a strong behavioral foundation for your puppy, I would HIGHLY recommend Christy @ NJ Fix My Dog. We simply could not have found a better situation both for us and our puppy.

Our first visit Matt told us his dog attacked his child on three different occasions. This didn't sit well with us AT ALL, but we decided to try a second session because we paid $580 and obviously wanted to get what we paid for. The second session I mentioned how our dog was very nippy and I'd like advice how to stop that. During this time he informed me his child just had a birthday party and his wife knew not to do it, but she let their dog out of the crate and he attacked a child. Matt seemed more concerned about his image as he said that it was embarrassing because everybody knew what he did for a living. This didn't sit well with me AT ALL and after discussing with my husband, we agreed that having a dog trainer who owns a reactive dog that attacks children can't possibly give us the tools we require to ensure our dog doesn't become like that. If he's unable to control his own dog then how can his advice and training rollover to his clients dogs? We hired Matt on false pretenses. Had he been upfront and honest with us that he had an out of control dog, then we would have never hired him. He refunded 1/3 of our payment due to him being uncomfortable working with us due to our concerns, which is laughable as we shared valid concerns. We 100% deserve the full refund since he was dishonest when we hired him, because no he could not give us the tools required to ensure our dog wasn't aggressive towards people or children since his dog is reactive dog. I'm truly disgusted by his business and for what he charges for 3 sessions considering he can't even train his own dog. So hire if you want, but be aware Matt has a dog in his home who attacks children so if that's the kind of dog trainer you want then go for it. I personally would rather hire a trainer who can control his own animals though.
