Our 17 month, 80 pound goldendoodle, Baxter went the two week board and train with Buck and Sue…read more This experience has been wonderful for all of us, most of all Baxter! We learned that Baxter truly loves to train and does not have to be treated to perform. Our praise is what motivates him. Buck and Sue sent us updates and videos of Baxter. We loved seeing him progress over the weeks. Baxter lived with Buck and Sue in their house. In fact Baxter was even in bed with them! They trained Baxter at their home for a while. Once he got his commands down they took him out and about. They said Baxter went to every place that allowed dogs. One of Baxter's unwanted behaviors was pouncing on Shilo, our four year old cockapoo. Both Buck and Sue knew this and had a 40 lb. dog stay with them and Baxter for a while so they could work on this behavior. They reassured us that Baxter wants to play with everyone and everything. They said he does not have a mean bone in his body! My husband Kirk and I were amazed when we went to pick up Baxter. Watching Buck and Sue work with him was so exciting for us. Then we were taught the commands and practiced with Baxter with their help. This training is one of the best things we have ever done. It is great to know Baxter will be a well behaved dog for a long time. With a dog as big as Baxter we did not want him jumping on adults or kids. This behavior was extinguished after the two weeks. The hardest part of the training for us was missing Baxter. We missed him terribly, but he didn't miss us. He was too busy training and having fun! Both my husband and I train Baxter every day. It is nice to know also that if we need a refresher, we can come back and they will help us. Buck and Sue gave us their phone number and email and told us to contact them anytime with any questions or concerns. We cannot thank them enough for what they did for our family. Im NOT kidding! Now to mention the massive matted knot in his hair behind his ear that the groomer had a hard time getting it shaved off. Angry, oh yeah! Then I found a scab with matted hair on his neck around his jugular vein! She said it must be an old scab...ah NO! Now it's a trip to the vet. All I got from Lyn was the e-collar has to be tight and basically if I dont follow through with that, it's on me. After the massive hair knot (rough collie long hair), Im not putting him thru that. This was the best experience and SO much more than I had hoped for. The trainer was able to break bad habits, correct misbehavior, and teach a 4-month old pup to comply with SIT, STAY, DOWN, go to PLACE and more. Because of my Mom's physical limitations, the dog is comfortable taking commands from a person in a standing or seated position AND she understands how to walk safely to avoid trips and falls with a cane or walker. We used the Board and Train option and it was just great. Truly, this was a bargain when compared to many of the other local trainer rates and services. It allowed the best outcome for cementing the desired behaviors into our little girl. She is so pleased with herself each time she does something correctly, it is a joy to watch. And my Mother enjoys the new relationship that she now has with her dog, which is motivating her to continue the routine. This is about so much more than "obedience", it has provided my Mom with an opportunity to relax and enjoy time together with her dog and to have more understanding of how to make time for what they both need and want. My Mom and her dog now have a chance to become wonderful companions to each other. I don't believe this would have been possible without the work of Warrick K-9 and Rachel.

After an extensive search we decided to use Paw & Order as a trainer. We contacted their Pittsburgh office and because of our location, they recommended their new Washington, PA operation owned by Christie Kelly. We met with Christie and were pleased with her experience, personality and explanation of her training procedures. We agreed on the In-Home program and training began in April, 2021. Leading up to the training, Maggie was a bursting with energy, difficult to control, fundamentally WILD puppy. Once the training began, we felt that we had a different dog. Christie's ability to adapt her training methods to our puppy's personality was remarkable to experience. After each lesson, like heel, place, sit, stay and so on, Christie would give us a print out of the follow up exercises that we needed to reinforce the lesson. When we had a setback, Christie was quick to identify the cause and gave us a constructive solution to correct the problem. We would text, email or call Christie with a question or issue and, it didn't matter whether it was a weekend, evening or holiday, she responded. Over the weeks of training, she would call, unsolicited, to check in on how our training was progressing. Christie's knowledge and understanding of a dog's unique needs, whether shy, aggressive, hyperactive, or whatever, is remarkable. Add to that, her love and care for each of the dogs she has in the training program, and you have someone very special taking care of your most cherished pet. Maggie is now over a year old and a wonderful, loving, well mannered companion. She is responsive to "almost" every command...still working on greeting visitors to our home occasionally. She is an amazing addition to our lives and I attribute it all to Christie Kelly and Paw & Order. She truly is a dog whisper! As a side note, we have had 2 dogs prior to Maggie. I always felt that we could train our dog and that professional trainers were too expensive. Wow, was I wrong. What I never realized that, yes, the investment is a lot, but when you think of that investment over the 10 or 15 years of your pet's life, well, it isn't all that much for a well behaved, disciplined, and happy pet. I had such positive training experience with Paw & Order. They have a safe environment and trainers that are able to provide my pup socialized skills, clarity in communication and time that I wasn't able to provide him with. Elissa is so kind, patient and very supportive. Honestly, all their trainers are so passionate about dogs, they care about them so much and advocate for the dog's success, they will all help you to become a better and responsible dog parent. I LOVE that they help me strengthen the bond with my beloved one and there for me all the way through (super responsive!) My pup came home more confident, focus and happy. He is now a proud CGC pup, were able to enjoy our outings safely together and have a great start to discover all the adventures life throws our way. Took my cat there, he had mats behind his back…read morelegs and she called and asked if she could shave those areas cause a comb would not work there,.. when I picked him up she complained my cat sprayed her with pee , When I finally looked at him all his fur was shave off head to toe, left some on his head, Vinnie my cat has Fiv and is a very sick cat, she shaved him like that to retaliate for him peeing, She said he did it on purpose, She's delusional,He's on a diuretic due to his illness and sometimes can't help himself. Had Vinnie at his Weekly Vet appointment the day before, Dr Sommerville in Wintersville, He and his staff removed some matting on his sides and I told him I would go to a groomer for the rest, He can verify Vinnie was not that bad.She was mean and hateful, very short with me, and accused me of never brushing my cat, I do several times a day. After I brought him home he was totally traumatized, I noticed some red marks on his side, I have a feeling she hit him, He's been hiding behind a hutch in his room all day and night, he's never done that before, Please if you love your pet, go somewhere else.
