I don't normally leave reviews, but this is one of the few exceptions. This review is for the grooming department, specially to Angel and Joanna. Both ladies were awesome, hands down! Our puppy was never groomed before and could be a handful that we almost gave up on getting him to groomed at the salon. But both of these wonderful women were able to get him done. Angel trimmed his nails in (2) separate occasions, and Joanna was able to get him groomed up! My husband and I are elated and grateful for their superb services! Angel and Joanna, if you both are reading this review, thank you so much for being patient and understanding of our fur baby! It's a good store but horrible how fish and birds are kept. When I went to go look at the bettas all of them were dead and or almost dead. One of the birds was sitting in it's own poop and was sitting in a corner. read more

Showed up with my fur babies for the trick or treat event, seen there was 2 stations. Absolutely no treat in sight. I still purchased some for my fur babies, because they were all dressed up and excited to go explore. As I got up to the register, the cashier reeked of vodka. Like she drank before she came in. She rang me up and forgot the dog food bag. How you forget to ring up a 30lb dog food bag is beyond me. But I did notice right away and had her ring it up. Honestly my go to place for my pets . Extremely pet friendly but extremely rude to people . Maybe just my experiences but always rude employees asking them for help. I would not recommend PetSmart for you dogs grooming. The groomers do not have the best customer service. I made an appt at 2:30 pm and when I got here they told me it was cancelled. I received no notice that my dogs appt was cancelled. Drove all the way here for nothing. They groomers just stand there they don't great you or anything. I decided to go to Petco instead and the service was 1000000% better and so understanding. Glad I found another place but would never return to pet smart for anything. read more

I brought my dog in for a grooming Brenda was the tech. My dog came back with a terrible hair cut. He was as shaved down and had a terrible rash on his stomach and private area he was really sick and got some sort of infection. The staff took good aftercare of him but I was very disappointed in the recklessness of the technician! Took our brand new puppy to get groomed after accidentally taking him to Petco, what a difference his fur felt soft, he smelled great for longer and no complaints. The staff, including Annabel the manager handled a pre-paid on-line order unprofessionally (when my husband came to pick up.) When I called to ask for a manager the clerk put the phone down without actually putting me on hold and proceeded to help customers. I was actually able to hear a customer give her phone number out loud. I was left on the "semi-hold" for over 10 minutes. When I hung up and called back the "manager" was extremely rude and said the clerk had only been there for 3 days. I understand a new hire needs proper training, but this was ridiculous. read more

The employees are friendly and helpful. I adopted my Panda here. I came in and saw the fluffiest and grumpiest looking cat and I asked an employee if I could hold him. He said oh no, that cat doesn't like to be held. I was disappointed but he immediately directed me at The Big Panda. He scooped him up and put him in my arms. Panda was so docile and calm. He sneezed at me and I knew he was mine. I'm glad that the employees learn the personality of the pets there and can steer the customers in the right direction. Panda is the calmest and most affectionate cat I've ever had and I'm so glad we adopted him. He brings so much joy to our family and even tolerates my small children. read more

I have been taking our two babies here for 9 years, always had a wonderful experience. The groomers were lovely and my girls always looked beautiful when I picked them up. Today was different! Something changed. All of a sudden my dog was a troubled pet and needed to have extra care, which I was charged $10 for. Never, in 9 years has my dog ever had trouble getting groomed. In fact, she loves the attention. Also, the groomer, who was also the salon manager, was so rude! She was short and did not want to discuss any of my preferences about my dog's cuts. She was the new manager and my regular groomer was no longer there. There was actually only a few groomers there, it seemed they all had left. As I said, something changed in this salon and after 9 years I will never go back for anything! read more

Always come here first since it's so close. I've never really had an issue other than the occasional "out of stock" item. If I'm not at the Lodi Petsmart I'm over at this Petsmart to buy a few of our pet needs.To be honest I was not really a fan in the beginning. We shopped at Carter's Pet Store for all of our pet needs because they carry a lot of products that the big chain stores do not carry, including top quality dog food that you can't find anywhere else. Petsmart is starting to grow on me especially now that we have cats. We buy most of our cat food here. The location of this store is perfect. Plenty of parking. It's clean and the customer service is great. I almost always check the online prices before I pay because Petsmart offers "price match" which allows customers to pay the cheaper price if the product is offered online for less than the store offers. I don't know why the prices are different, but we always do a price match so we can make sure that we save money...it is a win-win position for us! All that Petsmart needs to do in order for them to be more competitive with specialty stores is sell the top notch dog/cat food like Orijen-Acana, Avoderm and Fromm. Until they start selling those brands, I'll keep buying my dog food from Carter's, though I do enjoy buying other products from Petsmart. I also want to add that they offer free samples on the first Saturday of each month and they bring out discounted products from time to time....you just have to check. read more

Took my dog to get a full groom today was told it will take 3-4 hours. 40 min later I was told she can't finish due to my lil 8 pound dog trying to "bite her" I was in the area so I picked her up within 5 minutes. My dog looked so horrible. I'm not a groomer but I know if there was a issue with my dog trying to bite her you can clearly use a middle of one of those cones for the head. No I was not charged a penny. But I think she could of done more to relax my dog and not be so quick to call me. My dog never been aggressive towards anyone. So maybe she was mistreated??? I've ready awful reviews from here but thought I'd give em another chance. Thanks Heather for the experience now I know NEVER to go back here or recommend this place ever. Have been going to this store for 9 years and this is the 1st time I have given a poor review but I feel that people need to be aware of Services that have changed for the worst At my vet's office wanted a simple stock check to see if they had AA prescription dog food that my that has prescribed. Do not want to waste gas and time to drive there and shop if they do not have it. They refuse to do stock checks right now for whatever reason. I think that the management needs to rethink this service that they have taken away it should not take that long to look in the system and see if something is on the shelf or simply walk to the back of the store where the dog food is and look for a customer. As full-time RVers with dogs, we never know what level of care and grooming expertise we are going to receive from Groomers across the country. Our Lhasa apso terrier mix really needed a haircut. We found Pets Mart in Stockton close to where we are staying the Delta area. Boy did we find an outstanding groomer with Denae. This has got to be the best cut our dog has ever received. Then we find out she is a brand new groomer just graduating from the stores grooming academy. We HIGHLY recommend this young lady in caring for your dog. So we drop our dog off for a grooming, and while the dog looks pretty good, the employees, one by one by one, refused to help us take him home. One multi-pierced sourpuss ORDERED us to pay up at the front of the store and stomped out without another word, her two-dozen lip piercings gleaming like some knightly helmet. We do that, come back to get our dog, and she bellows, "I've clocked out, I can't get your dog. ". Not more than two minutes after she threw us out the first time. Not only are the piercings unprofessional and disgusting, she has an attitude to match. So does the manager, who wouldn't help us either. Took my standard poodle who is 40+ lbs and about 9months old now to get groomed by Katrina two times now and both times she did an amazing job. She is very attentive to the needs of my dog and everything is very even and nice looking. My puppy always comes out very happy and prancing around.
