Horrible service. Horrible pet store. They put everyone else out of business with their giant stores now there are no alternatives. Employees know nothing about animals. Take you 30 minutes just to get help on the floor. Animals are in horrible situations especially fish and reptiles. Much like the review I left for Banfield Pet Hospital, if Yelp allowed negative stars, I would have left negative stars. I decided to take my dog here for a grooming. Worst mistake EVER. I called last week for an appointment, the woman I spoke with told me since it was the first time, they needed my dogs vaccination records. I told her my dog went to Banfield and asked her if they could just get the info from them. She said "yes, we can just call them". She then told me the grooming would take 4 hours. 4 hours? That was a bit weird, but ok Great, right?? So I thought. So we made an early morning drop off appointment for 8am on Sunday. I woke up bright and early at 7am, arriving on time to drop off my dog. Upon checking my dog in I was advised they COULDNT take my dog. Banfield was closed and the information I had been given was wrong. They couldnt take her without her rabies documentation. I was livid. Aside from the terrible customer service, considerable inconvenience and misinformation I had woken up at 7am on a sunday to get there ON TIME. So I asked for a manager. Thinking that a manager would 1) have a modicum of intelligence. And 2) some customer service skills. Second worst mistake ever. After waiting while the groomer called for a manager numerous times, I opened the door and went outside shouting for one. The people who saw me ask for manager shook their heads disinterestedly, made zero effort to assist or find out why. Nicholas, the "manager" who eventually came to assist me immediately seemed irritated. When I explained the issue, he told me there was nothing he could do, rules were rules. Still livid, I argued, waiting for some expression of apology or empathy. None was forthcoming. Now at this point, said manager could have turned this around. He could have done any number of things..... What he did was to chastise me. He then asked me if "he could get back to work, he had more important things to do" He said I could reschedule. (For another day of course, they were booked solid for today) Gee, thaaaanks. Can I??? At no point did he offer a courtesy discount and when I asked he was annoyed. At no point did he apologize. Even the groomer was appalled at his rude behavior. I went back into the grooming area to give the groomer my cell # on the off chance there might be a cancellation. I asked her what his name was (he hadnt even bothered to tell me) Unbeknownst to me, he had followed me in. He raises his voice from behind me and repeats his name. He became beligerant and threatening once he realized I was talking about him with the groomer. He then attempted to "show me out". I declined and waited until he left. The groomer was APPALLED and apologized for Nicholas profusely. She showed me out. AVOID THIS LOCATION FOR ALL SERVICES. GROOMING, BANFIELD, EVERYTHING.... read more

They have everything your pet could possibly need. They offer all kinds of foods, toys, grooming products and more in an organized and easy to find manner. I know it sounds easy enough but there are other pet stores that don't seem to understand this. They also have groomers on-site. Petsmart offers training classes in store as well. Most of the staff I've interacted with are friendly and know what they are talking about. Often there are dogs and cats at this Petsmart location that are available for adoption. read more

The kids they have working in the grooming department are rude and nasty to there customers and they leave dogs in the back unattended barking while the groomers socialize and text on the phone up front. I do not feel comftable leaving my dog in the hands of nasty and rude kids. And of course the manager was no were to be found after numerous pages to the front desk. I'm giving 3 stars mostly as a benefit of the doubt. I made a purchase a few months ago that I've been meaning to review. I purchased something online during the Black Friday sale at an extremely great price (their prices are good at times!), I chose in-store pick up, as at the time I ordered it I was at my vet (located near this Petsmart) & figured I would have time to pick it up on my way home. I ended up being at the vets office longer than expected, by the time I got out, the store was closed ... Which was fine, no problem, completely my responsibility. I checked their policy on in-store pickups, which says you have a week to pick up or the purchase amount would be refunded. I was going on vacation a day later, so I figured if I had time to get there I would, If not, no big deal... I'll get a refund. This Petsmart by the way is unfortunately about a 25 minute drive from my house. I didn't make it there the next day, so I assumed I would be refunded as per their policy. Then 3 or 4 weeks pass, & I get an email that my in-store purchase has been picked up. Obviously this was weird to me, because 1. I thought at that point I could no longer pick it up and 2. I didn't go to the store to pick it up ... I assumed someone else picked it up pretending it was theirs, or that they made an error. Nevertheless, I checked my credit card statement (online), and the charge was still there, no refund processed or pending. So I call petsmart corporate customer service line and explained the situation. The woman I spoke to was extremely nice. She said it must be an error, and asked me if I would still like to purchase the item or if I would like a refund. I told her that if I could still get it at that sale price, I would be more than happy to keep the purchase. She put me on a brief hold and contacted the store to make sure they had it and see if there were any issues. She came back and said I would be good to go and to go to the store with my ID and order number. I went to the store the next day (this was around Christmas time, mind you.... I was on a really tight schedule). I told the employee my name and info and he took me to where the in-store pickups are.... He then checked his iPad, but didn't see my name or order # on the list ... I explained the situation to him from beginning to end. He opened up the closet with the purchases to be picked up, and the product was right there. I expected him to just give it to me and I would be on my way (after all I did show him the confirmation email in my phone as well). He seemed like he was about to do just that, and then he said he just has to double check with a manager because he's gotten in trouble for doing this before. I guess my "this" he meant not double checking with a manager? This associate was really nice, and I don't blame anything on him at all he was just doing his job. After 15 minutes of waiting, a manager comes.... Tells me that I can't pick my purchase up because a week has passed. That we only have a week to pick it up. I again explained the situation. He asked me who corporate spoke to at the store ... I told him I have no idea why would she tell me... She just told me to come pick it up. Then he told me that the product wasn't paid for. I said yes it was, I got charged the moment I bought it and the charge was never refunded. And then I said, why would she ask me if I still wanted it if I was refunded ? Another girl comes, I dunno if she was a manager or not, he pretty much "passed me off" to her ... Which I get it your busy, but if your busy, pass along the situation. There's no reason I should have to explain it four times. So she immediately tells me the same thing I was just told (my the last manager), that I had only a week to pick up my purchase, and that they don't charge my credit card until I pick up the item. So I again took out my phone, and showed her when I was charged. I explained the entire situation AGAIN. I felt like they were trying to tell me I couldn't pick up the item. I started getting very aggravated at this point, approaching 40 minutes to pick up an item that should've been ready.... I said I live 25 minutes away, this is the reason I came here, and I PAID for it. I was told I could still pick it up, it wasn't refunded, & I was in fact charged. They asked me for the corporate number I called & I gave it to them. Finally after about an hour of waiting, they gave me the $15 item I came for ... A trip that should've taken 30 seconds, took an hour of precious holiday shopping time. The last girl who helped me did apologize, but I was still annoyed. I felt like I was initially treated like I was stupid, as if I couldn't comprehend the pickup within a week thing. Like hello I know that, but I wouldn't be here if it weren't for your company sending me an email and telling me to return! We have used Petsmart at Forest Avenue many times and Vanessa the groomer is great. The front desk and other staff need to learn to control animals without using a choke collar and hanging them. They should not confuse their inability to control dogs bigger than 10 lbs - instead claiming that the dog is poorly trained. Just because you claim to have 20 years experience doen't mean you have a clue about what you are doing. Staff should not lecture customers. read more

Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Love being able to order online and then pick up at the store. I've also never had to wait to pick up the order. It's never lost or not pulled. For someone pressed for time, it's a real lifesaver. read more

The animal hospital there is TERRIBLE! Not only did it take them 7 1/2 hours to do a regular check up on my dog, but when I got there, they basically told me she was going to fall apart and go blind because of her breed...thanks a lot, Merry f*ckin Christmas and a Happy New Year... They also told me over the phone that the appointment would cost $70 or less, then when I got there, it was $180. Terrible, AWFUL service!!!! read more

Petsmart definitely has a big selection and helpful workers. They have the animal hospital, dog training and pet salon which makes it a one stop shop. I've never taken my dog to the training or hospital but I always get his nails grinded at the salon. The groomers are very patient and nice. They run packages for ear cleaning that I've had done for my dog and they put puppy cologne and a bandana on him. There's always good sales on dog treats too. read more

I went to this pet smart to buy my dog a bag of food they do have a large selection of food BUT DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG THERE FOR GROOMING as I finished paying and began to walk out i looked inside the grooming area and witnessed a little dog getting hit and being abused buy one of the groomers I banged on the window and told her to stop I also spoke to a manager who ignored me and walked off if you already go there be careful she was a heavy set white woman read more

I recently tried to adopt from the organization "sicawsaves" through PetSmart. The organization gave me a hard time. They were never present often and it was as if they had abandoned their cats. It was difficult to make contact and when I did, they gave me the run-around. They told me that we would have a home visit and "meet and greet" for the cats. Then changed their minds the next day and told me to look to adopt through another organization. The worst part is that they work THROUGH PetSmart, not WITH them. So PetSmart employees never knew much information and couldn't help further the adoption process. This organization worked completely separate from them and even had their own hours. So when I'd come on a weekend when volunteers are supposed to be there, they aren't there because they leave sooner than the closing hour of the store. My experience was pretty upsetting because I really wanted to give those 3 cats a nice home. This isn't the fault of PetSmart but I just wanted to voice this here. read more

I brought my dog in over the weekend to get groomed and asked for a slight trim around the face. Instead they butchered his hair which doesn't blend into the rest of his body. They SUCK. I will never bring my dog back to this place for grooming. I highly recommend Pup Hollywood. They take good care of your pet, and you will be satisfied. read more

I adopted a pit-bull mix, and after using many private trainers and so-called "behaviorists" with no success, I decided to talk with one of the Petsmart trainers. The trainer, Gian, is excellent! He is very knowledgeable and compassionate. He really cared about the well-being of both me and my dog. He was a breath of fresh air after all my other failed attempts. Bella (my dog) was very skiddish around strangers but warmed up to Gian easily. She would actually get very excited and lick him like crazy when she saw him lol. I have had private lessons as well as group classes over the last 6 months with him. With Gian's attentive nature and teaching/training Bella and I have made great strides. My dog is now rehabilitated; it's like I have a new dog! Bella is so happy, social and well behaved. We thank you, Gian! Kisses from Bella lol read more

Grooming- took my pup in for her 2pm appt. the girl questioned how exactly I wanted my dogs haircut which was lovely. Then she said it would be 3-4 hours "guarantee". So I went back after three hours to wander the store with the hopes that my dog would soon be finished. I walked in and saw her on the table being worked on. After a while the girl motioned to come in and she hands me my dog and says she is stressed and can't finish her haircut. No charge of course and I tipped her just because that's the right thing to do. She came home and slept the whole time after drinking an entire bowl of water. Today my pup can't even bark she has no voice left. I just hope they had given her water while she was caged for all those hours. And I would have loved a phone call saying either A. She wasn't ready to start grooming her and push back my appt or B. Call and tell me my dog was vomiting (oh yea forgot to mention that one!!!). Just sad, and unfortunately I won't be bringing her back there again. read more
