My babies, 2 Yorkshire Terrier's, Killer & Sweetie Pie, love this place. They also see the vets here at this one. I have never had a bad experience here. Everyone is so nice and helpful. My little girl, Sweetie Pie, is a barker and she's got lung cancer. I try to keep her quiet for everyone's sake but everyone there are always happy to see my babies. Some things are pricey but that's to be expected. We'll continue going there as long as we have to. read more

I am always skeptical of reviews and try to give places benefit of the doubt. But no, believe the reviews and do not take your fur babies here. Dropped off my pup at 2pm and it took them 4 1/2 hours to groom him. My poor baby came back with a cut on his right foot. I called around 5PM and they told me they would be done by 5:30pm. I get to pet smart around 5:40 pm and they still were not done with him. When I asked what was going on I got nothing but a bad attitude from a girl with orange hair and they told me he still needs another 30 mins. So he wasn't going to be done till 6:30???? Tried the group puppy class but so many distractions that did not work, trainer advised me to bring my puppy for private lessons and I paid another $150 but after two or three half hour lessons that was also terrible caused by the noise in the store and the so called trainer asking me what she needs help with! When I wanted to get the remaining lessons refunded because it was obviously not working I was told they could only give back part of the remaining 2 1/2 hours! It was the trainer that was inept and the so called manager of the store took the stance that it was in the contract which I never received until I wanted the refund. T took my pet to Banfield in Smyrna Since 2020. I strongly urge you to not take your there. Vet Isabelle DeMartin is horrible and does not have the knowledge or compassion needed to care for pets. Here is my experience. She still works there. Failure to treat Cushing's disease: Despite a diagnosis on 6/11/2021 based on elevated liver enzymes, no medication was prescribed. 2. Misdiagnosis of strokes as nausea: Episodes of stumbling and head tilting in Nov 2022 were repeatedly attributed to nausea by Dr. Castillo. Only after I described the symptoms to a vet at your Franklin location was it identified as likely strokes. Willow suffered a severe stroke on 7/5/23, resulting in permanent disability, before finally receiving a neurology referral and proper treatment. 3. Inadequate response to dramatic weight loss: As Willow's weight dropped from 13 lbs to 5.8 lbs over 18 months, vets insisted it was a lack of calories rather than an underlying condition. Referral to a specialist was denied until I sought a second opinion at your Franklin location. 4. Failure to communicate diagnostic findings: Medical records showed Willow had a heart murmur that progressed from 2/6 to 5/6 severity, yet I was never informed nor was any treatment provided. Notes also indicated the vet was aware of previous strokes. 5. Delayed referrals: Despite alarming weight loss and chronic diarrhea, Dr. De Martin refused to provide a referral to an internal medicine specialist on 11/28/23. Instead of considering the possibility of an underlying condition, Dr. De Martin incorrectly attributed the hair loss to the blood thinner medication prescribed by the neurologist. It was later confirmed by a veterinarian at Blue Pearl that hair loss is not a known side effect of blood thinners, but rather a common symptom of Cushing's Disease, which Willow had been diagnosed with through bloodwork back in June 2021. I scheduled a 1:30 & got there on time & once i walked in to check in my dog, they told me to wait outside because they only allow 1 person at a time since someone else was in there. I was waiting patiently outside for the other person to walk out & once They left I went in & they told me they need to reschedule because its late. i've never had any bad experiences with petsmart, expect at this location. last night i came in and bought some crickets and 2 bags of sand for my bearded dragon, i went to go check out and there was a girl with blue hair. once i paid she bagged the crickets and left the 2 bags of sand on the conveyor belt and didn't put it in a bag or on the little stand they have next to them. she looked at me and pointed to the sand and said "you can grab them" which is very unprofessional and rude. once i got to my car i put them in the backseat only to find out one of the bags have been ripped and there was sand all over my car. keep in mind the bags of sand weren't even big and were a size you could bag them up. the item was a store damaged and i should've gone back to exchange it, that blue hair girl should do her job better. read more

First time using them to groom my dog. Horrible job and they charge a crazy amount also. You can see the line if the buzzard everywhere on him. The paw is all uneven and face is also uneven. I don't think even gave him a deshedding shampoo or brush of his old coat or after the cut. I know he sheds but damm I've got dog hair everywhere after the cut and it's only been a few hours since he's been back from trimming from there. Took my dogs for grooming, I took them for a bath & got charged over $100 for just a bath. Groomers didn't do a good job as dogs were still wet, & smelled. My golden was crying when I picked him up as he probably got soap on his eyes. I wouldn't recommend going, and just do it yourself for that price or go somewhere else. read more

First off they took 20 mins to drop off my girl doggie then when I came back to pick her up they tried charging me for a full price grooming when I specifically said I didn't want a haircut. They said they trimmed her face so it's the same price! I had to ask for a manager to explain and then they only gave me $11 back. The WORST part is when I picked her up she came to me coughing and gagging because her collar was extremely too tight. I almost cried trying to release the tension for her. It was awful. The face trim they did was crap too. It was choppy and uneven. I hate it! I've been coming here for 3 years and the last few times have been terrible experiences. Very disappointed with our first grooming visit. My Assu tzu no longer has eye brows. I ask to trim around there eyes. But apparently they had never groomed an Assu tzu before. I've never had an issue here at this PetSmart. It's near my work & I sometimes have to run in here for something for the cats. I order the cat food online but I buy the Worlds Best Cat Litter & greenies pill pockets here sometimes. I try to buy the litter for the Cat Shoppe to support them, but sometimes it's hard to make it out that way. When a cats gotta go, a cats gotta go. I always have to run by & check on the cats that are in the little adoption windows. The staff here is always helpful. The only issue I've had is sometimes they can be understaffed during busy times at the register. read more

We have had our dog groomed with PetSmart for years. They aren't the best, but their price was consistent. The groomers never looked very happy to be there, but until recently they did well with our dog (the last time they said she was very aggressive- the exact opposite of her temperament) and we found the price agreeable, so we used them. This time, I did everything as normal. Made the appt via the app (this is a good service!), checked in and answered all the health and behavior questions. Made sure our shots were up to date and had documentation available. However, when we went to drop her off we were told that due to her heart murmur (that is not new) we would have to book an express appt time ($15 extra) and nothing was available until sometime next week. We have never been required to do this AND they had the information about the murmur days in advance, but did not call to make us aware. So, while we did everything we were supposed to do, we did not get our appt time, they didn't even attempt to accommodate us to get in ASAP, AND we are required to book a more expensive appt. All for unhappy groomers and mediocre results. No thanks, PetSmart. We won't be back. read more

We love that we can take our dog with us when shopping there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We have used the training classes, Theo did 2 levels of training and it was well worth it. They also more or less trained us so we were able to train our next dog. I do highly recommend this location. Not happy with the vet services, way too high priced. Grooming is good, but Haute Dog is hands down better. But still a good place to shop. read more

I am very disappointed in their grooming salon! Dropped my yorkie at 7am and they called at 10am and told me that he was ready. On this phone call she proceeded to tell me that I would be charged an extra $7 because she was not able to keep my 7lb dog still!!!!! Keep in mind I have never had this complaint before. Upon picking him up, I arrive to the worst haircut I've ever seen. And they didn't even trim his face! Keep in mind the groomer couldn't look me in they eye. Went in to pick up our dog after being groomed. While waiting I watched as a girl was trying to trim a 5 month old puppy. She was pulling the hair on it's chin so hard that it was whining & trying to pull away because it was hurting!! When I made a comment she picked it up & held it & said it just wanted to cuddle. I said maybe 1 girl could cuddle it while the other girl that had been helping her could trimmed it. It made me so mad!! Now that puppy is always going to associate pain with being groomed! My labradoodle has been to petsmart about 2 years ago going to same groomer and then she left the company to have a family. I was hesitant with other groomers because of how unprofessional they seemed when I was there. After going somewhere else for the past year I decided to give petsmart another chance because my groomer was booked full till Christmas . Bo was at the groomer at 700am appt with jaqueline who I did not know. She was not there when I dropped him off. The one groomer assured me that jaqueline would take good care of my bo and I have specifics along with his past record of what I wanted done. 3 hours later no phone call I decided to check on him and they just started grooming him. He was in a cage for 3 hours waiting. When I picked him up an hour later they completely shaved him down, not trim him but shaved. He had all different lengths of hair throughout his body, his nose which I specifically asked not to shave was raw and hairless and everything from his nails to hair on his underside was different lengths. I told how awful he looked and jaqueline never introduce herself not explain etc. I have no idea which groomer she was. I complained when I was paying and said she needed to be reported and showed the manager what he looked like last week when he came in to see Santa Claus pictures. The manager did apologize and did not charge me which I did not care what I had to pay. It was the point that my dog was abused and cut and will have to heal and scab over when he just came in for a hair cut. He was going to pass it on to his groomers manager and said she would call me later and of course I have heard from no one this afternoon. My labradoodle is a 6 year old dog who has to be groomed every few weeks due to his hair texture. He has a bath every week and is brushed daily to keep his hair from not getting matted due to the curls. I wish I went with my gut instinct to just wait until his regular groomer was available and I would never give petsmart another dime nor my time again. Beware your baby will be butchered if ever groomed here and be prepared to have lots of ointment for their cuts and raw spot afterwards. It's just sickening . Major is my grandpuppy and he has been going here since he was a baby...He went to get a fox cut and 1/2 inch allover this dog came out looking like a cat and left eye was red blotchy and running so I asked the guy there with the big holes in his ear what the hell happened to my dog he replied Major came in here red...Nahhhh Negative so what happened I have a video of him coming there no red eyes and I played it, so again what the hell happened? where there a accident of any kind he said no...so if there was no accident what intentionally happened to my Dog/ HE JUST STOOD THERE LOOKING STUPID WITH A SMURK ON HIS FACE!
