I've never had a dog that needed professional grooming before so it was a learning curve. I really appreciate him going the extra mile to ensure we were educated and pleased. I appreciate their kindness and patience but most of all their care for my dog! When I called to set up the appointment Brad recognized my dogs name and responded "oh, the mini horse?" . We bring him here between haircuts to get his nails trimmed and ears cleaned but I was still surprised he had immediately remembered Bradshaw. After bringing her to Dogtopia, I immediately noticed they took a completely different approach. Since I live in Florida, owners are not allowed to assist groomers during nail trims, which always made me nervous because Ariyah has struggled so much in the past. With the patience, care, and understanding of the staff at Dogtopia, they were able to successfully trim both her front and back nails without forcing her or making the experience more stressful. What really stood out to me was that other places had told me my puppy needed to be muzzled or even sedated for nail trims. Dogtopia reassured me that she didn't need either of those things--she simply needed more time, patience, and a gentle approach. She greeted us when we entered and let us know when the items for her cooler would be arriving ( we were there pretty early). We ordered an Americano with cream and a cold brew with cream. This is the first place out of many where the staff asked how much cream we wanted and poured it in front of us. I know it sounds like a little thing but it's the little things that add up. We also asked her about the animal adoption that they support and she was very excited to tell us about it. Once we hit the road, I looked up what Crossroads is all about and I'm in love! What a wonderful community supporting/ animal loving organization. If I lived here I would be here on the regular.

Earlier this week I stopped at Wags & Whiskers for some help with my animals who decided to go on a hunger strike simultaneously. I had forgotten how nice, and necessary, it is to shop local. The folks here have always been so friendly and helpful. Fixed all my critters with one trip and sent me home with some samples just to be sure. While there is the convenience with online shopping, we lose the human contact and helpfulness of shopping local. So this is a reminder, we are blessed with so many wonderful local businesses.
