Made an online appointment for my dog to have a wash and brush for $27. The day of the appointment the groomer DeeDee called 2 hours before my scheduled time asking if I could come in earlier. I told her I had a meeting in 30 minutes but that I could be there at least 30 minutes early. That was ok with her. An hour later as I was on my way to the appointment she calls me again, this time to reschedule to a different day. I told her this was unacceptable, I was told I could speak to a manager. I let the manager know that I could not reschedule and I needed that appointment honored. I agreed to get me in when I got there, which he did. When I came back to pick up my dog and pay for the service was charged $37. When I told the cashier I had scheduled the $27 service online and was told "oh they must not have changed the prices online. I am very disappointed with how they run their grooming services. I cannot tell you how nervous I was to bring my two pets to the training classes here at Petsmart. This store is extremely busy, and I have two very nervous, older pups. Now it may seem silly to take older dogs to training classes, but when they say they can train at any age, they really can! My dogs will now walk on a leash without pulling me all over the place. When company comes over, I do not have to worry about them barking up a storm and embarrassing me! These classes have been more helpful then I could ever imagine. They even have this awesome deal where you can buy all 3 stages of classes at a discount. Who wouldn't take advantage of that? Jenny also suggested that I visit their grooming salon for a pedicure. The staff took excellent care of my babies even though it was so incredibly busy in there (that should tell you they are awesome right?). I will say the downside to the grooming salon is that they seriously need a receptionist or two. I watched the staff constantly get interrupted so many times in the 10 mins it took to get the nails done. I did bring this to the attention of the store manager Jayne as she was working the register (talk about a manager getting dirty with her employees!). Thank you for everything Jenny and friends! Carol took 15 minutes with the customer in front of us in line for their purchase of two bags with three fish in each bag. Going to a restaurant and getting cooked fish with rice on the side would've been faster than Carol's work with the fish and the cash register. It looked like their name tag said R Carol, so I'm guessing if there's more than one Carol working here then it's Carol R. Carol had the audacity to claim that PetCo's customer service was terrible, but this was the worst customer service experience I've gotten at a pet store. Also, the glass around the grooming center is covered now so you pretty much can't see the dogs getting groomed. That used to be the highlight of coming to this store. :( read more

Went today with our two Old English Bulldogs shopping at the Hinesville, Ga Petsmart. My husband is Diabetic and his sugar suddenly dropped and he almost pasted out. They could not do enough to help me. One person took one of the dogs for me and took us to the training area to sit down. Another ran next door to get him some water and a candy bar. And when he was feeling better they helped us out to the car. We take our dogs here for grooming and they always do an awesome job. They would not let me pay them for the water and the candy. read more

This is really just a review for the groomers. I have a cocker spaniel that I get clipped about every other month. Ive tried all sorts of groomers and Petsmart is about the only place that can make him look like a cocker consistently. I wouldnt call them outstanding but in a sea of incompetent groomers, its nice to have a place I know can do it right every time. read more

Went to Banfield today for an appointment, this is our first appointment ever at this office. I took a wrong turn and got to the appointment 5 minutes late at 12:05. I stood in line waiting while the woman at the counter was on the phone and computer with another customer ahead of me. At 12:17 she asked me who I was checking in and then said she would have to check if they would still see me because I was 15 minutes late. I told her that there is no way that I had been standing there for 2 minutes and that I was NOT 15 minutes late. She checked and then told me I'd have to reschedule. If they have a 15 minute window then someone should have done there job and been there to check me in instead of having me wait for over 10 minutes to be told to reschedule and then not apologizing for having me stand and wait for over 10 minutes! read more

They did not have much pets i was looking to purchase a turtle but none were in the tank. Sad to say not only that but the worker had an attitude if you having a bad day don't take it out on the customer. read more

After finding out that I forgot to buy dog food earlier today, I rushed to my local grocery stores only to find out they don't sell the brand I needed to get. (I can get it at the BX.) So I realized I could go to PetSmart at the Forum and get dog food. Unfortunately it was 2 minutes prior to closing time when I stopped in front of the store. At one minute prior, I'm out of my truck and see the young PetSmart employee standing at the door. Almost to the door, she looks me in the eye and locks the door. I finish walking up and she cheerfully says, "We're closed." After a couple of pleads and her not able to understand my question if they had my diabetic dog's brand of dog food, she smiles again and says, "We're closed." She then turns to her coworkers who are just starting to get the last customers at checkout. No dog food in hand, I leave and wonder if I should continue to shop there? read more

Some things are a bit over priced, but I love their return policy... so extra stars for them! When you are trying out new products, food, toys, etc., it is nice to know that they will take it back if it doesn't work out.... even an opened bag of food. We just adopted a dog, so in the beginning that return policy really came in handy for me while we were trying to figure out what food and treats worked best for our new pup! read more

The customer service at the grooming counter leaves a lot to be desired. I thought this was the service industry, so I expected to at least be greeted and not mistreated... FYI ... Some people don't know your full service menu, so making them feel stupid about that will not get you anything except for a pissed off review. read more

Being the Petsmart nearest to my home, I do visit this store quite often. While some things are expensive, they always have some sort of sale going on for their PetPerks members (which is free to join) as well as the coupons regularly sent out to Perks members. They generally have a GREAT selection of items, and anything they do not have in store you can obtain from their website. The store (in spite of all the animals that visit) is kept nice and clean and only occasionally will you encounter a dead or sick fish in the tanks. This store seems to make a sincere effort to hire people who are knowledgeable about the animals and products, and other than one employee who I regularly find to be very annoying, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I love that this store has days where there are shelter animals out in the store for adoption, and really appreciate the convenience of all the services they offer. They have dog training classes, a groomers, and Banfield Veterinary Clinic available within the store. Their animals-from the kittens to the skinks and everything else-always seem pretty happy and have nice interactive tanks with plenty of things to do and eat. While the store isn't perfect, it is a great and convenient place to go for pretty much anything you will need. I definitely do recommend this location :) read more

Salon always does an awesome job. Been going for years. Sad to know that the person leaving a review from March has their head up their butt about their dogs behavior. If you know your dog is nervous why take your dog to a salon during their peak time. That is negligence on the owners fault in my opinion. Don't blame the groomer when your pet doesn't respond well. People like Liz who left a bad review have no concern for the groomer. That is evident by the lack of concern when she was told her dog was biting. I am sure if the groomers read her review they are having a celebration that she allegedly says she wont be back. She did them a favor. I always show appreciation to them because I know its a hard job. SHAME ON YOU LIZ! You give customers a bad name. read more

Cats in filthy cages with litter boxes full of waste. Water bowls dry and dirty and litter all over the floors. The odor hits you about 10ft from the cages. Also a bird was loose in the store and all the reptiles were sickly thin and boney. Do not buy pets here. read more

Today at the groomers we were told our dog was not allowed back for being "violent and aggressive". Mind you he has been to this location three other times for a FULL bath and nail trimming and today they said he was trying to bite the groomer. He's never had an issue. Upon dropping him off i told the groomer he gets nervous with other dogs. To top it off the lady was beyond rude and said paw off the floor he's violent when they were bring him to us in front of many other customers. Our dog has never bitten anyone nor has he even attempted. I've cut his nails plenty of times and had no issues. We have a two year old who he plays with. As we were waiting I was watching a groomer cut a small dogs hair and she was handling him very roughly and you can tell she was frustrated. The dog was trembling so bad. Do not take your pets her. Let's say my dog did try to bite the groomer what was she doing to him if he's had his nails cut and bathed at the same location many times? read more

I went to this Petsmart about a month ago to get my dog groomed and came back with an injured dog with a dislocated back right leg! I have been going to Petsmart for a couple of years now and have NEVER had the experience that I had here. The store manager- Jayne B. Dugger at first was very helpful in getting me the help that I needed to make sure my dog was okay... but now a month later, my dog is still injured with no ANSWERS on what Petsmart or the corporate department is going to do to fix her back hind leg. They should pay to have her leg get surgical operated on being that they are at fault and the video surveillance shows her limping in the salon. I have not heard from ANYONE on this matter.. How unprofessional and uncaring? I am extremely disappointed and upset that a company this big cares so little about their customers! After reading the reviews online about Petsmart and their grooming salons nationwide I wish I would have known better! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PETSMART TO ANYONE! DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE! The groomers are amazing! They are great at what they do. The Banfield Pet Hospital is great as well. The vets are extremely friendly and very knowledgable. I always bring my dogs here for their shots. Their assistants can use a little more training, but I feel like for the most part they are very young, inexperienced and not here for a long term position anyways so the focus has not been on keeping these people for very long. Why waste money on training them, right? I have been in here many times to buy pet products or inquire about purchasing new pets and it seems like none of the employees know how to properly care for any of the animals or what products work best for what animals with the exception of one of the managers...he's a very charismatic, heavier set, Hispanic guy...but I didn't catch his name. The employees are nice people but would love it if they were a little bit more knowledgable about what they actually do and work with every day. Some of the animals are not set up properly and their state of health is a direct reflection of their poor care. If you're looking for Reptiles or Reptile products, go to Reptile Pets Direct on Pat Booker, right around the corner. The employees there know what they're talking about and can tell you how to properly care for your animals and also have a larger selection of awesomely priced species to chose from. read more
