I was asking if a volunteer could take them they the door as they were not open yet and he just brushed me off. I was very disappointed in this facility. It was unclean inside and outside in the potty area and our dog was not happy. He is very friendly and not shy but did not want the groomer to touch him. He isn't crate shy but they had trouble getting him out of the crate. The grooming wasn't at all what I hoped for or asked for. They didn't attempt to comb any areas out they just shaved it off. I just picked up my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and I AM NOT HAPPY!! Had specific (not complicated) request to NOT shave on top of the feet and have the foot hair rounded at the end of the foot for the groomer to follow and they ignored them completely. Feet were shaved and cut choppy at the end of the foot. Nails were barely cut and his private area was not trimmed (part of the description says they will trim that area) Do not bring your dog here unless you want to be disappointed read more

i don't shop @ petsmart regularly because the store is egregiously overpriced. but i called this particular location in advance as a typical busy scheduled person would, to get availability for my dog to get her nails trimmed. the woman who answered the phone insisted they do walk ins rushing me off the phone rather than answering my detailed question. when i arrived and waited 2nd in line observing 3 dogs getting groomed, the woman prompt my arrival regarding nail filing, which to me insinuated she was the one i spoke with on the phone. she then proceeded to tell me it would be a 30 minute wait depending on when the other clipper gets back followed by the suggestion to "just come back in 30 minutes ". 30 minutes i did not have. this information would have been so productively helpful had she just took 1.2 seconds to answer my question on the damn phone. read more

I usually love taking my girls to get blueberry facials and baths at PetSmart, but after today's interaction I don't think I will continue to do business with them. Went by this horrible animal torture shop again today and OMG, this place is the worst! The pot head fish guy told me he wouldn't sell me a baby coy because I was going to put it in a 36 gallon tank until it was large enough to put in my pond... what an idiot. no one in there right mind put a baby coy in anything but a small grow tank. I couldn't believe he actually said No I can't sell you this fish if your going to put it in a 36 gallon tank, but he did. And the reason I couldn't believe it is because they had 40 of them in a 10 gallon tank... WTF. And he was so stoned that I really don't think that he even understood that this is my growth tank. And the little pudgy manager stuck up for him and at first I didn't understand why until she got up in my face telling me that I had to have a 300 gallon tank to put this one baby coy in before they would sell it to me and her breath smelled like straight marijuanna... But it's all gpod! I went to Polly's Pets and they are on the up and up! Listened to me, understood what I was trying to do and gave 2 butterfly coy for less than the price of one at this horribly smelly anim death trap on angora prkw... My puppy is 4 months old and this was his first grooming appointment so I did the pampering package. He was supposed to get a bandana or bow tie... neither received. It took 3.5 hours. He weighs 4.5 lbs. Not terrible but..... the drop off area being inside the actual salon area is ridiculous. Dogs being dropped off or picked up are a huge distraction to animals being groomed. Not to mention the area is so small you must wait outside because there's no room to move. I will be taking my fur baby to Petco. read more

Brought my two dogs for grooming, just as I have in the past few years. Well today while waiting for someone to greet us, Jordan comes out says she refuses to groom my dogs because they barked at another dog so they are " dog aggressive ". I pointed out I have been there many times and the groomers always took the dogs with no problems. And the manager, Dan , was no help either. Personally I will never use Petsmart again and will boycott anything about this chain store. I will start using small business dog grooming and pet supply business. read more

I've been doing business with Pet Smart since about 2013, granted, mostly products. In the past, while living in southern California I did use grooming services, which up to now, were satisfactory. The cashier is great about getting your needs addressed, making notes, but obviously, the groomer has her own interpretation, and clearly, has no idea what a grown male Shi tzu should look like. I specifically said, not a puppy cut, they even have a visual sample of what the coat should look like if using the right trimmer. I was shocked, and appalled at my poor dog, sitting on the counter; I really did not recognize him, and I've had him for 9 years. In reality, the basic cost, just to wash and cut is $56 , which is a standard rate through most reputable groomers; honestly, I feel like I've just been robbed, and I feel so sorry for my pet. I have learned a very valuable lesson, And I will definitely consider options when it comes to all of my pets needs. read more

We bought a 75 gallon fish tank and stand combo for an extremely good price when we price-matched to their online store. That is the reason I am giving 3 stars. I would give 1 star because every fish we have ever gotten died within two days (our water, pump, bubblers, and tank are perfect along with not having an overcrowded tank). This last trip, we bought 4 guppies, made no pitstops and on our 15 minute drive home, ALL of the guppies were dead. We did notice that the employee did not add oxygen to the bag (a HUGE component for guppies). We won't be buying any more fish from Petsmart. Severely disappointing. read more

Been through the beginning and now in the middle of intermediate doggie training here at Petsmart. Eco the Newfoundland is the lead trainer here....oops I mean his human Jenny is the lead trainer. Eco likes to help out in classes by being the biggest calmest goofball you have ever met. I know this helped my socially anxious corgi calm down. Eco was the perfect social host, allowing my dog to get close and sniff without batting an eyelash. Suffice to say that my corgi now loves coming to doggie training class and lets new people talk to him without hiding behind mom. Or maybe he just likes getting copious amounts of treats every class.... anywho....definitely two paws up for Petsmart Training!! read more

I took my dog to petsmart in agora parkway on 3/11/2023 and waited 5 and a half hours for my labradoodle to get a bath and haircut. His appointment was scheduled for 10AM and I was told it would take about 2-3 hours. So I decided to walk the area for a while. 2 hours went by, no call. 3 hours go by, no call. After about 3 and a half hours I called to follow up and they told me it would be about 20 more minutes. I waited an additional 2 and a half hours be firing going back inside the pet store. There were people standing around in the grooming department and not bringing me my dog. I told multiple people I'm waiting and I'm coming to pick up my dog Bailey and I've been waiting for a very long time. One person towards the front of the store said just give them a minute. it took an additional 18 minutes for them to bring my dog out. And then on top of all of that waiting my dog came out with an infectious rash, all over his backside and scars on his tail from the clippers. I would not recommend bringing your puppies here at all for grooming . I am very disappointed and very annoyed. And then I got additional charges on my receipt. My total ended up being $103 went online a bath and a haircut it said to be $86. This is absolutely ridiculous and now I'm probably gonna have to take my dog to the vet to be treated for an infection. read more

First and foremost I have to say that I just had today the worst customer experience in my life from your store " sea world". I am a business owner in the hospitality business and if any of my employees ever treated any of my customers that way he/she would be fired on the spot! I came to my appointment of 5:30 pm late at 5:40pm and I did apologize right away for being late 10 minutes but the first answer I got was that I was late 40 minutes and that next time I would have to reschedule! I tried to explain twice that was not late but I got a nasty answer from the employee that I was late so I kept quiet. I picked up my dog " Chopin" from the same employee with the same nasty attitude that i quote" here is your bill! you can pay up front!" not even asking me if my dog's grooming was ok ( I need to bring my dog tomorrow to another grooming salon to fix the disaster that that employee did! " worst job ever! I just left without saying anything and kept my mouth shout because I didn't want any confrontation but I will make sure that my reviews will be posted on every social media platforms! Completely unacceptable that your employee can treat your customers that way unless you're looking for your business to file bankruptcy! The last time I was there, I picked up my dog from your store was at the pet hospital because they cut off his nose but I forgave it because the girl was so nice and caring. I do not care how much I spend and I always give a $15 cash tips but this time forget it since I know that I will never be back since I know that employee could be in contact with my dog and maltreat him. I am leaving 4 stars solely because of how well the store handled their mistake. There was clearly some confusion from booking a dog grooming online & in person. To make a long story short it was unacceptable. I was not at all satisfied with my dogs grooming the last 2 times (who has been groomed here multiple times). I decided to speak up this time, and a male & female store mananger (didn't get names - sorry) as well as the grooming mananger (Jordan I believe) handled the situation very professionally & extremely kind. Things change after covid for sure. Staff is not the same. After years of coming here and getting report cards on how great my pet is the last visit were very disappointing. Suddenly my dog doesn't like brushing and they won't brush. They do not want to take time to trim with scissors nor brush. I have no problem with trimming or brushing his hair at home. The leading person I assume manager or close to it did not know how to provide customer service in a professional manager when I tried to explain my disappointment and asked her to at least try before they shop all his hair off. After switching staff they did a good job but we will not be returning here due to the unprofessional approach of the staff. read more

My family and I came to visit this store on a Tuesday evening. We haven't been in a petsmart in years. As you walk into the store an the smell of a dirty animal shelter hits you in the face. I'm not going to complain about the salon but the store full of merchandise. The odor gets stronger as you walk over by the animal clinic side and bathrooms. The bathrooms are nasty. They probably needed to be remodeled 8 years ago. The toilet wobbles and the door that's another story in its self. This store needs a deep cleaning and a remodel. From top to bottom. Actually it's needs to shut down for a deep cleaning of floors alone. Windows need to be washed inside and out. Computers, telephones and more need to be dusted from animal fur. I felt icky just being inside the store like the smell would stick on my clothing and body. I was discouraged to buy anything at this store because the smell was so terrible. Shelving needs to move and floors need to be deep cleaned. The employees were nice to ask me a few time if I needed assistance but I was so bothered by the smell I didn't want to look around anymore. My golden retriever got sprayed by a skunk in the middle of the night. The next morning I called the grooming dept, they were able to fit her in that day. They did an excellent job getting the smell out and also trimmed up all her fur beautifully. This all took under 2 hours. The young lady who did her grooming was so sweet (Bella I think?) and I really appreciate their service. I will keep going back for future grooming needs read more

My friend/client had been taking all her animals here for years. She was told that her Husky had arthritis over and over again. She happened to run into another lady (at the store) and was told she may want to have her dog looked at by Dr. Weir. After having her dog treated for arthritis at Banfield, Dr Weir found that her dog actually had a torn ACL that had gone untreated for a long time. The lady she ran into had the EXACT same problem with her dog being mis-diagnosed for the exact same thing. What a shame! The animal had suffered for all that time and the damage was worse since it went mis-diagnosed for so long. She finally got her dog the surgery she needed for her ACL but was told that because it went on for so long, her cartilage was very torn up and it cost a lot more than usual to fix (by Dr Weir). My friend is now allowing her contract with Banfield play out and NEVER using their services again. read more

Should be a zero!! Terrible & unprofessional service from Erika. Took my 3 Bichons to be groomed & I knew from the start she wasn't going to groom my 12 yr old senior, Bella because of her attitude: 1.) Told me they recommend we take seniors elsewhere because they are soooo busy & it may create too much anxiety for a senior. (It was 7 AM & not ONE dog on any of the grooming tables.) 2.) I should keep my phone close because if Bella exhibits ANY anxiety she will immediately stop the service & call me to pick her up. 3.) The biggest hint was she didn't even have me sign Bella's consent form. Found a message when I got home that Erika thought Bella could be having a seizure, would not stand for her, etc. She doesn't suffer from seizures & if she thought it was a seizure her Vet is just yards outside her door also at Petsmart. If they can't handle a senior, that's poor training as usually they are calmer than younger dogs. Unless you can get Jordan or Delilah try a more pet friendly grooming salon. read more

Just left this store and had the worst customer experience ever! I have used other Petsmart stores in the past and this was the first time using this one. Based on the service I just received, or lack thereof, I will never be a patron of Petsmart again! Upon walking into the store for my pup's grooming appointment, Ben never even greeted me! The first words out of his mouth were, "Who is this?" Wow! What a greeting?! Very welcoming. My 7mo old Shih Tzu then barks, as he normally does for the first time he sees someone. He immediately responds and says he cannot service me because the dog is aggressive. "Aggressive? For barking?" He says that his manager would not not allow him to service us because the dog is showing signs of aggression. So I asked him, "what about ALL the dogs that I hear barking in the back kennel? Are those dogs aggressive too?" He responds, "Well that is different." "How so?" No response. He reaches out his hand, which my dog then sniffs him and allows him to rub him. When he pulls his hand back, he barks again. "See. He's aggressive." How can he be "aggressive" when he LITERALLY just allowed you to rub him?!?! Don't you think he would've tried to bite you if he was aggressive???? I'd like to not peg this as something other than just bad customer service but I'd be lying if I said that it sure didn't feel that way. Ben is a HORRIBLE technician and I hope others read this and avoid this PetSmart. I will never use them again. read more

Was in need of a new cage since our happy, hyper pet decided to chew off the locking mechanisms :/ prices were reasonable and he seems happy in his new habitat. I write this review with a really sad heart. We have used Pet Smart grooming(forum) in the past for all of our dogs and have been very pleased to just satisfied. The groomers are at different levels of skill so it's always been a hit or miss thing and that is ok. Two weeks ago I made the disastrous decision to return We had been using an in home groomer but because of COVID I decided to take our sweet 12 year old Schnauzer in for a groom. If you find a groomer you trust there, stick with that person. Schedule for the groomer, not the time slot. The groomer we had was a big 'MISS' and now our sweet baby will most likely be blind because of something he got in her eyes. The haircut was atrocious and the supervisor tried his best to make it right but there is nothing he can do to change what happened to her sight I will forever regret my decision to take her to that groomer read more

I have been taking my dogs to the grooming salon for years with PetSmart and recently this is the third time at the Forum we had a bad experience. I've lived in New Braunfels, out by Sea World, Alamo Ranch, and the Forum. The Forum is the only location where the staff is super rude. Every time I pick up my dog I seem to have a review that she is scared so they couldn't complete/do the bath like what I'm paying for but all other locations never have an issue. Yet I still pay for a job that wasn't well done. Do yourself a favor and take your pet somewhere else. read more

I like this one because it's close to me, but I think I like the one near Walzem better because I am actually able to book my dogs for a grooming appointment there on a Saturday and it doesn't have to be 3 weeks in advance. I recently came here looking around, looking frustrated because I like to buy Blue Buffalo for my dogs, but the 30 pound bag is so expensive and I have 2 Dobermans. I had been wanting to switch my cat to Blue as well, but again, expensive. This nice lady suggested I try the Petsmart brand called Simply Nourish. Just like Blue Buffalo, but significantly cheaper. They are now all on Simply Nourish. Just ask! They love animals and want to help you out, however you may need it! :) read more

The groomers here are my hero! My pooch doesn't let anyone clip her nails except these guys. Everyone is very friendly and it is the Cheers of the doggy world where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came. :-) I'm not sure if the groomers remember my name but they sure know my dog when she comes in...and she's always greeted with exuberant petting and affection. I take my dog here for just the baths, brushing, and nail clippings so I don't have experience with hair cuts and such (though dogs I see having trims done look great). Now in case someone reading this didn't notice...this is for the Petsmart at the Forum on I-35 and 1604. I have tried another Petsmart location and did NOT have the same wonderful experience with the groomers (so I quickly returned to the Forum location). Not all locations are the same. Definitely worth a visit and reasonably priced. I pay $25 for a shepherd/retriever/lab sized dog. read more

I didn't bring my dogs because one doesn't have all his puppy shots yet and I don't wanna risk him gettin sick and my bigger dog would probably pee or poop... And big dogs make big embarrassing poops. But anyway, with my surprise even though I didn't bring them I still got a bunch of attention and kept getting asked if I was ok or needed any help or had questions. Normally this would frustrate me, I got asked like 5+ times if I needed help BUT I actually liked it because I actually did have questions. (I must of looked really confused?) All my questions were answered and everyone was SO nice. I even talked to the trainer class lady, her name is Audrey if I remember correctly, and she was so sweet and answered all my questions. They offer a 6wk puppy training course and its only $110 and they have courses especially just for small breeds which is also great because I'm going from an 85lb well mannered Pit rescue who came trained like an angel, to a lil Pomeranian puppy who acts like a turd and does whatever he wants...wherever he wants lol I will definitely be coming back here!! Oh and the lil area in the front where the groomers are was shockingly busy the entire time I was here!! I was here like an hr- I talked a lot to the workers lol- and they were in there trimming dogs like crazy. So I'm guessing they are great considering they had such steady clientele? My dogs don't need it right now but I will be keeping these people in mind when my lil one needs a trim ;) read more

if i could give 0 i would. called to schedule a grooming appointment and was asked multiple questions about my dog to make sure the appointment was appropriate. answered all questions. bring my dog in on the way to work. they were lazy and not wanting to do their job from the beginning. i had to wait 10 minutes after the scheduled time bc her groomer wasn't there yet. then when she finally showed, she asked me all the same questions i was asked on the phone. she then stated she couldn't groom her bc she wasn't cleared medically. when i had a paper in my hand from my vet stating she was healthy enough for grooming. they were lazy rude and very unprofessional. i will not return to this groomer nor the store. absolutely not okay read more
