I've kept fish for over 15 years and NEVER had somebody tell me I couldn't have more than 4 small fish in a 80 gallon tank. Horrible experiences with grooming - twice. From refusing requested services & demanding upgraded services to saying my dog is aggressive. My dog is a show dog & is routinely groomed. No problems whatsoever. My groomer had to cancel at the last minute, so I ended up here. 45 minutes after dropping off, I get a call that "she" is biting. If he is, then the groomer is hurting him because he has never bitten any other groomer or anyone else. I call BS. Show me the camera footage of what was happening. For a laid back, senior dog with no history of aggression or biting, I'd like to know the antecedent. Of course, that wasn't shared with me. I wonder why. Until they put windows into the bathing area, do not trust what is happening behind closed doors of this grooming facility. read more

If I could rate this place a zero, I would. I was looking at the Rosy Red Minnows, and there was a pile of dead ones in the corner. I wasn't sure if they were deceased or not, so I asked. The lady said "oh no they're dead" in a very rude, monotone way, so if you know there's a pile of fish dead why not do anything? There was also two more dead fish in two other tanks. Took my golden doodle to get groomed and had the worst experience ever!!! They had my poor baby for 8 hours and just to call me and say they couldn't finish her and she looks so choppy and horrible! Never going there again!! read more

As far as PetSmart's go, this one is new and therefore relatively cleaner than others (certainly better than petco). I found the grooming staff very friendly and of all the places I've been for a nail grind, very good. Obviously I had my dogs nails grinded, not my own. That'd be something wouldn't it? I wonder if they'd have to put one of those temporary leashes on me if I did. I would t like that. But I'd be a very good boy. Woof woof. read more

Amazing service. I appreciate their 2 weeks return/exchange policy for fish. I got 2 fish dead couple days after purchase but didn't know about this policy back then. Today feb 21, I went and exchanged couple fish and they made my transaction super pleasant. I really appreciate the help of 2 short hair ladies that I didn't catch the name. No care for Koi. Expressed the concern of Dead koi fish in almost all of the tanks. Assistant manager proceeded to tell me that they were holding tanks. And that is was normal. You guys are selling ill fish. After expressing my concern with the small pets department she gave no care of anything I had concerns with. Yes I will be a Karen because I buy thousands of dollars in koi. The assistant manager gives no care about the animals and it's disgusting what little knowledge you have these people trained with. I wish I could give them zero stars. We wanted to add a fish to our aquarium and waited for 10 minutes near the fish area. A staff member walks back to us at 7 pm and says sorry we don't sell pets after 7 pm!! I told him weve been waiting, he said sorry I gotta start cleaning protocol. Our 5 year old special needs child started crying so I pleaded with this guy hey its only 2 minites after 7 pm can you please make an exception he said No and starts cleaning something. I come to PetSmart for all of my pet needs. I have never once experienced bad customer service, except for a few days ago. Upon arriving, my kids were so excited to see all of the pets. Like any other excited children, they were hitting the bird cage to try and get their attention ( mind you, one is a 1 yo and 6 yrs). I was about to talk to them about not doing this, as they would scare the birds when a young lady named Megan came from around the isle and YELLED AT MY KIDS TO STOP BANGING ON THE GLASS! The way she talked them and yelled at my little ones was enough to set me off! I immediately started yelling at her back and told her to NEVER talk to MY kids or ANYONES kids like that. I told her she could have talk to me about it or even yelled at me, not defenseless children! Please beware of the this ladies behavior when shopping at this store. People with this type of personality should not have a job in any field that has direct customer contact. Her excuse was that she was "tired of dealing with kids banging on the glass all day". Called for a simple grooming for my dog. Asked for pricing over phone and was told $70 MAX $80!! I specifically told them do not cut his hair short. I showed up and he was basically SHAVED! They also nicked him in the leg. As I'm checking out they charge me $115! I argued with the lady and they could not even find the groomer! Had no idea where she was.... I've been getting my Jack Russell groomed at Petsmart for 7 years. When I went in for a grooming appointment today for the first time at this location, I was told that they could not muzzle my dog to clip his nails since he's 11. They are being "extra sensitive" in the grooming department now. Well that kinda ruins the point. Also, I was told that it would cost 52 instead of the usual 33 because Louie is a "small dog". When the lady asked her coworker if there was another way at my urging, her coworker told her she could ring him up as a Jack Russell and then add a brushing service or something to it to fix the price. No, you can ring him up as a Jack Russell and leave it at that.. That's why the system is set up a certain way. Not sure why, but this location was just useless and scammy. read more

I just moved to the richmond area and I use to shop at pets supermarket in which was very great service. I recently started to shop at this location for my dog and I purchased some dog food in which when I got home I discovered there was worms in the food when It was time to feed my dog. I checked the bag and saw more rooms and reported it to the store. Once I went back to the store I was helped by a manager in which tried to sale me the same food with a new bag of food and worms. She also said that the worms would not kill my dog. That was very scary to hear a manager say that because no wants there dog to have worms. I switched brands and the manager tried to charge me full price and not consider my refund. My experience here was horrible and I hope no one goes through that and please check your dog food. read more

INFESTATION. In September I saw tiny gnats flying around this new store. I asked for a manager and I appreciated his honesty when he admitted they had an infestation. He assured me they had resolved it. I went back in October to buy dog food. I opened the bag of Simply Nourished tonight and it's completely infested with flying bugs. I called the store and talked to the manager on duty. She confirmed it was Simply Nourished that was the infested brand. So from September to November they have had an infestation problem. It doesn't sound like they are willing to take all the steps they need to, to resolve this issue. My skin is still crawling. read more
