I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt this needed to be shared. I was very cautious about who I chose to groom my goldendoodle--he's not the easiest dog to handle, and I've always been protective about who works on him. I reached out to Sparkling Pets after my aunt recommended them, saying they did well with her doodle. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely upsetting. When the groomer returned my dog, he was actively bleeding from his ear. His face and coat were smeared with blood. The groomer told me it happened while brushing and claimed the bleeding would stop and then start again. She also admitted she couldn't get it to stop. I would assume a professional groomer would have the proper supplies on hand to handle situations like this. Instead, I had to apply cornstarch myself to stop the bleeding. Accidents can happen, but the way this was handled was unacceptable. The fact that she handed me a visibly bleeding dog and didn't seem to have a proper solution or show serious concern is deeply troubling. When you pay a professional, it's because you believe they'll treat your pet with the care and skill you would--or better. That was not the case here. Never again. I do not recommend Sparkling Pets to anyone who values their pet's well-being. read more

I've been having my Maltipoo groomed with Sparkling Pets in the last 6 months. Rebecca and Joey have been great with my dog. The appointment usually only takes an hour but they do a really great job. The cut is always exactly what I ask for. The price is about average for a mobile groomer but it is definitely worth the convenience for me. read more

We just finished up our new puppy's first full grooming session and we couldn't be happier with the results. Joey was gentle and amazing with our somewhat skittish puppy. Worse Pet Grooming business. No return phone calls even though I called twice and still nothing. When they did groom my dog Harley, Joey did an excellent job and I tipped him well. Contacted Sparkling Pets after my previous mobile groomer stopped being responsive. Had an appt within a few days. Alex came out today just after both dogs ran thru muddy flower beds. They were a mess. Alex was very kind to them and had them cleaned and groomed and back in the house in about an hour's time. They were both happy, clean and looked great. Will absolutely continue to use Sparkling Pets and Alex for our monthly grooms. read more

Rebecca has been a godsend and we are really appreciative of her great grooming services. Monte has shown how comfortable he is with her and that makes us feel at ease as well. It's hard to trust people but when your pet shows it's ok I love them then of course you finally begin to trust them as well. I wish I could give more stars. We went with mobile grooming because 1. Our dog is terrified of driving in cars and 2. She has Cushing's Disease. This was one of the only mobile groomers that was either open, or serviced our area. The first time they came, Alex gave us confidence in getting our dog groomed. I mentioned to be careful around her feet because she gets cut easily due to the Cushing's disease, she has thin skin. He said no problem, and took her to the van. Not 10 minutes later we get a knock on the door and there's our dog with blood all over her paw. Her nail had come off. I figured this happened in her being stressed to go out and get into the grooming van. He said he could still groom her, but I said no because I wanted it to be a better experience for her. We got it all taken care of at the vet and healed up before having Alex come again. He was nice enough to reschedule and not charge. Well, he came today and 10 minutes later we get a text message that our dog is bleeding. He asks if we want him to continue. I said yes, but 4 minutes later I asked that she just be bathed and not get a haircut/trim. I don't know how she is bleeding. The nail that got injured last time is completely fine this time, so there is no explanation as to what happened. All he said was "I haven't even clipped them." When we got our dog back, her face had been shaved down to the skin in between her eyes. I understand that if in those 4 minutes he already started trimming her, but it would've been nice to have been told that. Also, why is she shaved down to her skin? It looks so bad and because of her Cushing's it takes her hair a long time to grow back and it may not fully grow back. I am super upset. Plus she needs to be in a cone again due to her foot. If you have a dog with medical conditions, I do not recommend this grooming service. The star rating is for how easy it was to book an appointment, how responsive both the owner and groomer were, their willingness to reschedule and making sure the dog was ok, and also the outcome from the last visit. read more

This was an excellent experience for me. Scheduling was simple. I called the number on the website and left a voice mail. Someone responded via text the same day. We worked out a day and time within the same week of my request. On the day before the appointment, Alex called asking if I wanted to move my time up but I told him that I work late so that's why I made the late appointment. He was totally fine with it. On the day of, he called to let me know that he was running 10 minutes late which was totally fine because so was I :) He met Bentley and they hit it off immediately which isn't typical for Bentley. They were done in a little less than 30 minutes (Bentley is tiny). He looked so happy which normally at other grooming places he looks traumatized from being there for so long. His coat was shiny and he smelled great. His nails were actually all cut down (groomers usually have a hard time with him and they don't get cut properly). I am so happy with this place and I've already referred several people! Can't wait to use them again. And yes it's a little pricey but definitely worth it! read more

I used Sparkling Pets for the first time a few days ago. I've been taking my cat to be groomed by my veterinarian until they recently stopped offering grooming services. I've had my cat groomed into a lion clip cut for several years now. My veterinarian always did a good job. I did research on mobile groomers and found Sparkling Pets. When I reached out to them they confirmed to me that they do lion clip cuts on cats. When Alex arrived to my appointment I explained to him exactly how I wanted my cat to be groomed. He said he knew what a lion clip cut was. When I got my cat into my house and out of her carrier I noticed she didn't look at all like how I wanted her to or how she's always looked after she's had a lion clip cut done. It didn't look like a lion clip cut at all. The hair left on her head, legs and tail are completely uneven and sparse. Her body was not shaved down enough also. I've never seen a worse lion clip cut. My cat does not look like what she was suppose to for the expensive price I paid for. My cat did not look, feel or smell like she was even bathed which was suppose to be included. I was completely ripped off by these people. They do not know how to groom cats. I will never use them again. read more

Alex performed the grooming today & as always, our pup looked & smelled like perfection. I showed Alex a photo of what we wanted to achieve. He discussed it with me in detail as he wanted to make sure to get it right for us. Alex really pays attention to detail! They have instituted Covid-19 rules & provide them to you before they arrive. Five stars!! My first time using Sparking Pets and really my first time using a mobile grooming service at that but after researching, I came across sparkling pets and I am beyond happy with both the service and response. I emailed/messaged an inquiry for all 3 of my pups late night and received a response 24 hours later. The day of, I received a text letting me know an earlier time slot had opened up and if I would want it. I said yes! I got another text to inform me closer to my time that Alex was finishing up and would be on my way. Alex then texted me to reassured me he was on his way as we know how horrible houston traffic can get and how appointments sometime take longer than planned. Nonetheless, he asked how I wanted my pups trimmed and the best part is he got to see and get a feel of how they interact before taking them in. One of my girls is 100% a mommas girl and she will not let anyone hold her yet she eased into Alex's arms for her spa. Very pleased and not to mention prices are very reasonable. Sparkling Pets is an excellent and convenient mobile pet grooming service. Our groomer Alex (who has bathed our little white schnauzer "Kaiser" on a weekly basis since he was a baby) is so patient and sweet with our boys (we also have an elderly schnauzer who requires gentle care). This place has groomed my 40 lb lab before. We called to make an appointment, and they said nobody wants to groom this dog again. Is that a joke?! He is 12 years old and 40 lbs, how bad can he be? If this company is not able to handle a 40 lb senior dog, they should NOT be in this business. The owner has poor customer relations, so we ended up just taking him to Petsmart. They had absolutely NO problem grooming my dog. I don't know how old this company is, but it seems that a lot of inexperienced, unprofessional people work here. The Petsmart people laughed when I said this company wouldn't take my dog, and they said a couple people have come in with this exact same story.
