While I have run into PetSmart before for treats, this is my first time that my wife and I have gone into the store as new pet owners. Though we didn't bring our new golden doodle rescue with us this time, we certainly will be back with her soon so that she can pick out her own toy and enjoy the experience. We were only stopping by to look at food and treat options (including pill pockets) and collars and martingales. We ended up walking around the store looking at other supplies and getting a sense as to what the deals and special offerings are and how to use the app and Treats Rewards loyalty program (https://www.petsmart.com/treats-rewards.html). At check-out, we spoke with an associate who answered all of our questions and was very helpful. He also held onto our purchase while we went back in the store to look at something he pointed out in another aisle. Pet services including grooming, pet classes, hotel boarding, doggie day camp, vet care, adoptions, pharmacy, and a learning center. Featured options at the store include their outdoor shop, new pets, curbside and in-store pickup options, free same-day delivery, saving with auto-ship, fan shop, and gift cards. The Treats Rewards loyalty program is free, and you can earn and redeem points when you shop along with personalized offers. Once you've spent $500 or more, you receive a new tier, and after $1000, you receive the highest tier. Now, you can get an invitation to an annual recognition event and a holiday gift if you make it to the two higher tiers. I received 1,000 points for my profile completion, and I immediately used it for a few dollars off my first purchase. PetSmart is my preferred of the pet related stores I go to when I need to purchase food or supplies for my dogs... This location is not the one that is closest to my home but it is one I stop by often. I've been in more times than I can count as it's not only centrally located, but they have plenty of parking and they are located a couple of doors down from a wonderful smoothie place too. PetSmart pricing is standard and in line with other stores. If you're lucky, you may find a coupon and if you create an account, you'll typically save a few dollars from their reward program too. Employees are not overly helpful or engaging, but they are fine. Quick tip: The last time I was in, a customer's dog pooped right near the entrance and he took awhile to clean up, so proceed with caution just in case! read more

I am a full time worker and the daycare they provided was ideal initially. I had taken my dog 2 -3 times a week for daycare so she could play. Little did I know, she was stuck in the kennel 6 out of the 8 hours of daycare... These people aren't professionals. I wouldn't recommend daycare or boarding here. Like many, we adopted a puppy this year. You think you're ready. You know in your head that puppies are difficult, but knowing and doing are two different worlds! We love our pup and are so grateful he's joined our family. We are also grateful this PetSmart is down the road and offers affordable training and doggy day camp! Our pup is about to "graduate" from puppy school and he has been going to doggy day camp weekly for the past month. Puppy classes are very well organized and socially distant, which we certainly appreciate. We go weekly and Alec has given us a really good foundation to build on. The class covers the essentials you need to train your dog into a well behaved family member. It takes work and consistency, but it's been a fun journey and we look forward to continuing onto intermediate classes at PetSmart. Doggy day camp has been a lifesaver! I do wish they had cameras to check in, but if you follow their instagram you can see the dogs playing in their stories. They know our dog by name when we walk in and he always comes home happy and worn out. In fact, when we drop him off in the morning he's so excited to go play he just runs off to the room and doesn't even look back! It is a great way to get puppy energy out and one more tool in the toolbox to ensure he is properly socialized. I've noticed he is much more confident on walks now. I highly recommend giving doggie day camp a try if you're a frazzled puppy parent who needs a break or a day to get things done. read more

I wanted to make a grooming with one of the groomers. Called the store they would not book. They said I need to talk to her. Call tomorrow. I called the next day they said she is not in. After few days I went and I booked online with another groomer. The day of appointment I received a call that their groomer is not coming and they had to reschedule me. They rescheduled me a few days later on Mother's Day. On Mother's Day I go there and they say his vaccination has expired a couple days ago! They won't accept him. I said then why you didn't tell me when you rescheduled me. They are like oh well!! I said pls put me on schedule so when I get the vaccination I have an appointment. I will do it tomorrow. They refused. They called the manager and he was the rudest person I have ever seen in my life. Not only he was not apologetic to what they have put me through but he was externally aggressive and yelling at me. I said why didn't you tell me when you rescheduled me so I don't have to come on Mother's Day! He said he does not give a shit it was Mother's Day!! He did not try to fix the issue by giving me another appointment in future so when he gets his vaccination I don't have to wait another week again. His hair are getting all tangled. Someone should give a management training to this man! And a customer care training. They did not care they have cancelled on me once and now they have brought me back again to tell me NOW that I am in store his vaccination had expired. Online ordering is the way to go. Make a few clicks and all of a sudden you've spent over $200 on cat food and cat litter. Walk in the store later the same day or the next day, tell them you have an online order and push your cart out to the car with your pet supplies. I hear they'll also put the online order right in your trunk, but I'm good with getting in and out quick during COVID. My only issue with PetsMart is they aren't always fully stocked in the food I need for my two demanding kittens. Amazon can deliver to my door, but I shop at PetsMart so the physical store will still be there when I need them. Plus, their support of animal rescues and adoption programs is amazing. Pet adoptions, pet hotel, puppy play dates, obedience classes, Banfield pet hospital, dog grooming, etc. Today we had a great experience and it was our first time in this location. Today pet adoptions were taking place obedience training classes were going on. Ben from the pet hotel educated us on the puppy play date so we signed up and he had a great time! Kobe- the play date attendant spent two hours with nonstop playing with all of the puppies. Our dog was able to catch a photo with the Easter bunny and Petsmart even emailed the picture to us since my hands were busy trying to hold our dog in place! UPDATE*** I emailed the customer service department at PetSmart and never heard back and then because of this review they contacted me through Facebook and asked for my information and said that someone would be in contact. That was on September 4th and I have contacted them three times since saying I had still not been contacted. I have told them that my loyalty is dropping more and more each time they say they will reach out and they don't. Clearly PetSmart does not care about customer service and keeping customers trust. They lost my grooming business and they will lose the rest of my business as well. We have been a big fan of this Petsmart since we got our puppy back in January but until recently, when we used a different Petsmart, we didn't know how lucky we are! The staff at the PetsHotel goes above and beyond to make sure that our Minoux receives love and top tier care while she is with them. They always keep us on the loop with how she is doing and make sure she is comfortable! Trainers Alec and Connie are also amazing! They have also been working with her and in just a few weeks have made tons of progress with her loose leash walking, not jumping, and getting comfortable meeting new people. Went to this petsmart tonight for a quick run in to grab some dog food. Unfortunately, my dog had a small accident that I immediately cleaned up. As I was cleaning up the mess the lady on the first register started to complain to the people she was ringing up. She had a terrible attitude towards us and I could just hear her complaining to all the customers before us. She was short with long brown hair and fake eyebrows. Make sure you ask about all return policy's regarding your purchase. Leaving important details out that really hurt the customers later on if they do need a return. They make it very hard to almost impossible, especially for live animals. Something as small as missing dead bodies of fish will disqualify you from a return. It's not in written form or on the receipt. - was taken care of by the management team but this does not happen in all cases. We had a turtle not known to eat fish. A PetsHotel specific review: We've taken the family dog here several times. We first put our toe in the water with a doggie day camp. Our lady, a dainty 100 pound mixed breed who is constantly mistaken for a male despite her pink collar, was hesitant. The staff immediately put her at ease with a little love. Bottom line, the day was a success, although she was happy to be picked up. Fast forward, a few overnight stays later, she now walks straight to the PetsHotel every time we go to PetSmart. EVERY TIME! When she's actually dropped off, she doesn't even look back at us. What the heck? Shouldn't parting be at least a little traumatic for her? From a human perspective, no pet hotel is going to be as nice for your dog as staying at home. PetSmart, perhaps motivated by corporate liability concerns, seems to have found a good balance between a desire to treat pets well and a need to keep them safe. We've never had any problems with fighting with other dogs, for example. They are also very serious about making sure that all vaccinations are up to date before your pet is allowed to stay. They also reserve the right to refuse certain breeds, which I suppose could be upsetting if you own a pit bull, but personally I'm fine with them erring on the side of safety. I've talked to a couple of friends who have indicated they would never take their pet to a heartless corporate boarder, but I actually view it as an extra layer of safety for the dogs. Costs are reasonable. Not the cheapest place you can find, but definitely not as high as some Scottsdale pet resorts. The basic cost is $31 a night, but you'll also likely add a $16 day camp ($4 discount with overnight stay). There is a little bit of silliness, such as applying a little guilt to get you to purchase treats for your pet, but no worse than what you'll find elsewhere. We have actually ordered a nail trim for our girl, let's call it a manicure, during a couple of her stays. They will routinely accommodate you with the day camp if you miss the noon checkout time, which is much cheaper than paying for another night. We also bring our own food to help cost. They open daily at 7:00 a.m. for drop off, which can be a big help. They give you a written report of the stay when you pick up your pet. We didn't take it very seriously at first (are they really going to tell you your pet hated staying there?), but we've actually found it to be helpful over time. Toys and leashes we have left have never been lost. Just don't bring rawhide. It's not allowed. I'd actually give the PetsHotel five stars, but the rating has to be for PetSmart, the store, which I'm a little less enthusiastic about. I can't speak to other locations, since they're only going to be as good as their staffs, but the people at this PetsHotel are great. read more

This is my second bad experience with the grooming department. I even went to a different store because I thought they might have a better staff. I was wrong. I stopped in to see if they could do a nail trim for my dog. They whispered amoung themselves and said to each other " should we say no"? How unprofessional. They said they close at 5:30 and it was 4:45. Seriously, it takes less than 5 minutes to trim a dogs nails. They were just too lazy to do it. I've been boarding my cat at this location for several years. Typically stays are for 7-14 days when we have to travel. Our cat seems to do well and is not overly stressed when we pick her up. The staff is friendly and professional. They have someone with the pets 24-hours a day, so I prefer this to having someone stop by our home for 10-min a day as we did with our former cat. They have early hours for drop off (typically 7 am) and late hours for pick-up (before 9 pm, except Sundays when the store closes at 6 or 7pm) The first time I wanted to board our cat I learned that in addition to her regular shots she had to have a rabies shot and it takes a few days to be effective so you must have shots done several days before you board your cat. When you take your cat for their annual shots be sure to have a rabies shot included. Petsmart will call your vet to verify that all shots are current when you make your reservation. Food is included in the nightly boarding fee of $22. However to keep our cat from gaining weight during the stay I bring Science Diet Light cat food. They feed her this food instead of their food. I sure wish they would offer a discount to customers who bring their own food. If you pick up your cat after 12:00 pm there is an additional $12 boarding fee. Also if you board your cat during a holiday time such as between Christmas and New Year's the boarding fee increases by an additional dollar per day. Overall I'm very happy with the Petsmart Hotel. I also take our cat to another Petsmart Hotel in Woodinville, Wa when we are staying in the north Seattle area in the summer. read more

Since the pandemic it had been difficult to find prescription food on Chewy and my vet's office. We spoke with the staff and there were 2 options we were able to purchase there. PetSmart is the worst place to take your dog. Their petshotel is disgusting..they leave your do in a steel kennel all by themselves and don't care to pay attention to your pup. One time they gave a dog the wrong medicine and had to pay thousands at the vet to get its stomach pumped. Do you really trust your dogs with these employees? They pay them crap wages and it shows in their service. They overcharge for your stay as most other private places will take better care of your dog for much cheaper - really all youre paying for is the name, and having a corporation behind it. Doggie day care is horrible too, dogs have been in there with fleas and they don't care to check them before they toss your dog in their with some random stranger's mangly mutt. The dog grooming is even worse. I have heard many screams from upset pooches coming from the salon. Most of the groomers don't care about taking good care of your dog either, they just want to make money. And they will make money off your stupidity with their "Top Dog Care Package" which is $16 for a "oatmeal/hypoallergenic (*cough* bullshit)" shampoo and coniditioner, and a lame attempt at brushing your dogs teeth (do it yourself it's waste of money to get it done here). Private salons and even vets offer their services at much cheaper prices and we all know that in this tough economy it's very important to save bucks wherever and whenever you can. Even worse than their overpriced grooms, they will call you every 8 WEEKS TO BOTHER YOU to bring your dog in. How annoying! I'll bring my dog in when I want to - harassing me over the phone will not get me to come in. Their products are way overpriced - you can get many similar items at Ryans Pet Supply (14th and McDowell) for much cheaper. Half the time they're out of something and can't even offer to tell you when they will be getting it, or direct you to something similar. I have seen dogs pee on the endcaps of shelves and employeees just stand around ignoring it. Their Banfield vet is a joke. They wanted to charge me $180 to treat my cats ear infection. They are extremely overpriced and it's not personal whatsoever. They don't give a shit about your dog either. Bottom line - go somewhere private. I'm so happy this store is located so close to my house! Every time I come to this store I get great service. I mainly use this store to get food items for my dog or the grooming salon - where Zombi has never had a bad experience. This location also has a Banfield Vet Hospital, PetsHotel, Doggie Day Camp, Training services and at times has adoptions. My best friend has used both the PetsHotel and the Doggie Day Camp for her pooch and has never had a bad experience. I also used the Banfield Vet to get Zombi up-to-date on her Rabies and the Vet was super nice. The best part was that I didn't even have an appointment, I just walked in and they were able to fit me in after a five minute wait. My only pet peeve (pun intended) is there is usually only one cashier working and the line can get pretty long. However, it doesn't take long for another employee to open up another line to speed up the check-out experience AND they usually show up on their own, without customers complaining about only having one cashier.
