I went in the store today because I ordered some dental chews for my dog online and there were for little dogs and I have large dogs. I walked in and there was no one at the register. He was on the main aisle putting up the merchandise. He saw me and asked me if there is something that he can help with me and I told him about my online purchase. He than asked me was I a member I said yes and he said go get what you need. I was like and went down the aisle and got the chews for large dogs. When I returned to the register he subtracted the other ones and added the one I needed. It was a hassle free exchange. I wish I could have gotten his name but he didn't have on a name tag nor was it on the receipt that I could tell. read more

Staff may just going through the motions here. They seem demoralized, definitely short-handed, not as friendly or helpful as other locations in the metro. Displays and kiosks disheveled. As for the animals, fish looked properly cared for but the rodent and reptile/amphibian tanks were dirty despite being barely stocked. All of the parakeets looked ill, listless with ruffled feathers during midday. Workers need to do a better job keeping up. Management should be more responsible. read more

Who doesn't like PetSmart? You can even bring your dogs inside. Last time I was here a couple brought their Great Dane inside. He was a very big boy, knocked over a bunch of merchandise, good times lol My cat, Sir Winston is a bit of a finicky eater he only likes fish flavored cat food. He told me last week he's a pescatarian & identifies as a female grizzly & that his fave fish is trout. Anyhoo, over the weekend I was soakin in my claw foot tub by the window & saw something flying across the backyard in my garden. I look outside & I see Winston running in circles 100mph, tossing a baby bunny in the air, then letting him run thru the garden again, then running to catch him again tossing him in the air. I had to run outside in a towel to save the baby bunny. So here I am looking for trout flavored cat food & a small stuffed baby bunny for the pescatarian female grizzle spirit animal in Sir Winston. I should have never let him watch the Bellmont stakes this past weekend. With an official time of 2:28.30, "Sir Winston" joined Country House and War of Will as a Triple Crown winner in 2019. So I was told to get him a new bright red collar too for the winners circle if he can't make a race track out of my garden & have the bunny as a prize. Thanks PetSmart, you always have in stock what my Sir Winston likes, it makes him feel like a real champion. Highly recommend. read more

I know there are not many fans of PetSmart -especially on the selling of animals. However, I felt inclined to write about employees anonymously (except for one). Cashier-752613 on 3.9.22: Sold me my first betta (Mr. Sushi) (($16.28)). He was sad fish -but a few days later, he enjoyed his new digs. The sweet cashier gave me some pointers on owing my first betta, which was sincerely appreciated. Cashier-585872 on 3.15.22: Sold me (6) Tetras, (3) ghost shrimp and (2) black snails and a pagoda-style building ((42.32)). He was friendly and patient to me while another person was vying for his attention to return a product without a receipt. She was obviously trying to return a stolen product -which he kindly declined. He stuck to his guns about having a receipt or PetSmart account. He apologized and she moved on -quick. I thanked him for keeping our costs low -due to theft and he smiled. Shortly after, the same woman was b-lining to Walmart -more than likely to complete her scam. Now...Damon. He was my "official aquatic wrangler". I hope he didn't take offense -cause I could not wrangle a dead fish out of a toilet. I let him know I have a (male) Betta and that I wanted a little help with keeping a tank clean -but also having a few more very small fish in my tank. He assured me that Bettas -even males have a "attitude" tolerance. He suggested the fish above (3.15.22) and he was spot on. For a week, Mr. Sushi was skittish. He hid. The only time he'd venture out is when was fed. Now, Mr. Sushi is inquisitive -yet gentle with his tankmates. I appreciate Damon's assistance and knowledge -and hope to do business with him again! read more

Getting a worker here to help you is a hunt... When I finally got a worker to help me he seemed very frustrated. I was buying some pictus catfish for my 55 gallon tank, anyways, I told him which fishes I needed and he was aggressively trying to catch the fish, he ended up killing one of them... he used to net so aggressively that the whiskers of the catfish caught on to the net, instead of carefully removing it, he ripped it off, and tossed in to the container and it was literally dying, of course he wasn't going to give me that fish... when he got my fishes , the way he even ties the bag was aggressive, stressing the fish out. He was having a bad day I can tell, but that doesn't mean you have to lash out on the job, it's called faking a smile and doing ur job while being friendly then go home and do what u want. There is other friendly workers here, but they seem to be busy helping others, so if u find someone that's not busy it's probably the worker that doesn't give a fuck about any thing. read more

I've had so many bad experiences with PetSmart. 1. Once they charged me for things I didn't buy and I didn't realize it until I got home but I could return it because I didn't buy it!! 2. Once I went there and they way over priced me for a cat toy so I wanted to return it but she didn't give me my receipt so once I realized it I turned around and asked for it but she said she ripped it up and threw it away. 3. Another time I went to get some things for my dog and they charged me for an extra item AND they over charged me for things AND they didn't give me my receipt. Those are just 3 examples of how terrible PetSmart is. read more

After specifically asking the groomers to be careful with her ears, my dog came back with raw spots in her ears. The next day she developed a bad ear infection. After going to the vet Petsmart told me to go to (not my vet) they refused to pay for treatment. Do not take your pet here unless you are willing to pay too much for grooming AND medical bills. My dog is in pain and the management at petsmart could not have cared less if they tried. I never leave reviews, but feel people should know what they're getting into by taking their pets here. read more

While on a road trip from NC to CA, I stopped at this Pet Smart to purchase a wire dog crate. As I was trying to hurry, pick one out and get to my hotel after an 11 hour day of driving I got stopped by a Pet Smart trainer. All she had to say were negative things about my dog, but isn't it obvious that he would be a little excited after a long day in the car? It's not like he was out of control, so I was very shocked that she had such a long list of things to correct me on. I was left completely embarrassed. She was very condescending and belittling and unfortunately I did not get her name. On the bright side, my checker was very sweet and I was glad that I got to interact with her on my way out the door. read more

Sharena in the grooming salon is AMAZING!!! I bring my little bad schnauzer baby, Pickles, every few months to have him shaved down bc he gets so matted. Sharena knows him by name and is absolutely wonderful with him. Today we also brought our humongous 70lb labradoodle, Poppy, in for her first grooming. As usual it went smoothly and turned out great!! Thank you Sharena!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you!! read more

This interaction made me sad because I love this company. But my boyfriend and I had to come in to get a quick purchase. And the second we walked in, we were greeted with a rude "we close in 5 minutes." I work in the service industry so I can understand that. I took my two dogs in to their appointment scheduled at 9, it took 30+ minutes just for them to come out of the grooming section to get us. They did call and verify one of my dogs rabies vaccinations which was nice. They told me it would take 4 hours to complete the grooming, I'm not sure how long they sat in a crate..... BUT when I got my dogs home, one of them started coughing very aggressively, which he has never done before in his entire life. Upon researching and calling my vet, I found out my dog contracted kennel cough from this location. My dog has been coughing through the night (and all day) for the past two nights and he is miserable. This is unacceptable and I will NEVER be back to this location, or give the grooming department any business at all. I trusted them with my dog babies and they have dirty/unsanitary grooming areas. We asked to buy a fish tank a rather expensive one. And a lady comes out (we found out she was the manager) of the side room yelling about how no one else is there to help pick it up and she isn't going to do it. We told her we would it was ok. She then proceeds to get really rude and yell at my husband when he asked if they had more than the display because the corners were all broken and smashed. She's told him I'm not giving you anything for fee. I told her it was ok we would go somewhere else and she starts screaming at me. At that point I may have lost my temper with her and as we were walking out she continues to scream at us. I will not be back to this store. read more

We adopted a cat from this location who turned out to be sick. We tried getting in touch with both petsmart and the shelter that provided the animal and both refused to help. When my wife was on the phone with Petsmart she asked to speak to the manager to try and resolve the issue. Once the manager got on the phone I could hear her yelling at my wife from 20 feet away before she hung up on my wife. This location is extremely unprofessional. After this incident we contacted petsmart directly to try and address the issue and we received no feedback whatsoever. We will be taking out business elsewhere from now on. read more

I went in to PetSmart and very nicely asked if I could look at an animal I was interested in purchasing. The "manager" Dina very rudely said that it was just her and one other lady named Kelsey working and "that wasn't going to happen" were her exact words and proceeded to talk under her breath to where I couldn't hear her. I kindly asked Kelsey when she came back inside from the parking lot. She also very rudely told me she wasn't going to help me because it was after 6 and if I wanted to look at an animal I needed to talk to Dina because she was the manager. I get if you can't do animal adoptions after a certain time but the manner in which I was treated and talked to by not only an employee but a manager as well is extremely disappointing and we will not be coming back to this location. Both of them just had the worst look on their face and you could just tell that they obviously do not enjoy their job. Hopefully you can get some respectful employees at this location. Worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time. Just because you're a manger doesn't mean you can just act like an ass. Have some respect. The only thing Dina needs to be managing is her attitude. read more

We took our 2 dogs (an 85 lb pitbull and a 60 lb lab mix) into the grooming salon for baths, nail clippings and a brush. We had an appointment to bring them in at 5:45, so we went and did a little Christmas shopping in the area while we waited. We had somewhere to be by 8 and by 7:45 we still hadn't received a phone call from them that they were ready. So we went back to Petsmart to see how far along they were on our dogs only to find out that they hadn't even started. Our dogs are not put in crates at home and aren't used to it. They had been sitting in the back in crates for over 2 hours. We let them know we didn't understand that it would take this long with an appointment but that we had plans to be somewhere so we will go ahead and take our dogs home (no bath, nothing) they brought our dogs out to us and our big guy (pitbull) had pooped in the crate and gotten it all over his hind legs. We smelled it and told them we couldn't take him in the car like that, that he had poop all over him. The girl offered us a towel. A towel???? To smear the poop in all over his legs?? No...... so one of the other girls stopped the haircut she was giving a dog and took him back and gave him and our other dog a free bath to compensate us. I will not be bringing my dog back for a few reasons. 1. There was no direct/affectionate attention to either one of our boys 2. The wait time 3. The offering of a towel to clean poop that was all over our dog This was really an awful experience for us, when my dogs came back to me you could tell how stressed out they were and it broke my heart. This place needs better customer service and need to make sure to relate to the clients the wait time so that they are prepared. I appreciate the free baths but still...it was just not good. read more

Don't use this store. It's AWFUL! They don't keep correct hours in the grooming dept so all those drop in services they advertise mean literally nothing. I've shopped online to pick up in store and that wasn't completed either. They are always out of stock as well. Just save your time and go to a different location. It's PetSmart. I haven't found it to be different than any other PetSmart I have been to. The place is always clean, and the employees friendly and helpful. Prices can be great, prices can be overpriced. Grooming...well, let's get into that. The first time I took my dog (a yorkie) to be groomed, I was told it would be about 3-4 hours and I would be called when he was ready. He was getting his obvious grooming, plus extras - nail grind, ear cleaning, and his teeth brushed. The extras cost almost as much as the grooming itself did. I dropped him off and there was only 1 other dog, who was currently being groomed, ahead of him. But four hours later, I hadn't heard back. I went back over and found out my dog had been ready for three hours, but no one bothered to call me. They even admitted they forgot. I mean, how do you forget about a dog that has been stuck in a small cage for hours and is barking? While he looked great, I spent about $80 when it was all said and done. I wondered what they planned on doing if I hadn't showed up. I took him back in for grooming today and decided against the extras this time. I specifically stated I wanted a 1 inch cut. I signed the form that even had "1 inch" written on it. I was told the same amount of time, 3-4 hours. They were currently grooming two other dogs and I heard more in the back, so I figured that time frame was going to be more realistic. At 15 minutes shy of four hours, and not having heard anything, I decided just to drive back over. That's when I saw they had just started cutting his hair. Ok, there couldn't have been THAT many dogs waiting for a cut. And besides, what is the purpose of an appointment if you aren't going to get to it until hours later? He was finally ready to go about 20 minutes after the four hour mark. The girl was very apologetic and stated their district manager came in. First, it would have been nice to receive a phone call letting me know there would be a delay. Second, I find it very irresponsible of the district manager to expect the employees to just stop their jobs when the customers are depending and waiting on them. I also noticed that my dog's hair looked longer than it should have been. When I had the report in my hand, I saw she had written 1 1/2 inch...they switched it out. Not a HUGE deal, but a bit frustrating since 1. I should get the length I request, not the one they choose on their own, and 2. this means he will need to be groomed again earlier than anticipated. They still did a good job, but frustrating nonetheless. This visit cost around $50 between the grooming and tip. I'll still shop here, but I think it's time to look elsewhere for a groomer. read more

I adopted a dog on a Sunday at this store and he smelled really bad. Ty was able to squeeze us in and Rocket left smelling amazing. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. She even helped me pick out all the things I would need for him. I will definitely be going back to this location. read more

Wow! Horrible customer service while checking out. Two women were checking people out, I stood in line to purchase my pets products, the cashier just walked away after finishing the customers transaction. Not a word from her. So, I moved to the next line where the cashier was having trouble with a flea collar. The line was 4 deep. Here comes the first lady, again without saying anything other than I can get someone over here. Absolutely the rudest service I've ever experienced at petsmart to-date. I'm pretty sure the cashier must think everyone is such an inconvenience to her life. Too bad there wasn't a survey attached to the receipt. read more

While I preach "shop local" I'm horrible about not shopping national chains - even though I still shop local a lot. PetSmart is a pertty decent chain that has a conscious. They have pet adoptions, give back and carry eco-friendly products to keep your furry (or scaley) family member happy and healthy. Their obedience courses are not crazy priced and are guaranteed. Most of the time, the service is very friendly and goes above and beyond to help you find what you are looking for. read more

This company has poor customer service. I scheduled my 3 Golden Retrievers to be groomed this morning with a drop-off for 0800. When scheduling the appointment, I asked them to call my vet to verify rabies vaccination; they agreed to do it (like they had in the past--also I had scheduled the appointment a week ago). I show up this morning with my three dogs, and they refuse to take them because they didn't verify the vaccinations. Of course, my vet doesn't open until 0900 and they state that they can't do anything until then. I arrived with my dogs at 0730. The manager was no help. They offered nothing for their failure, and she wasn't really even apologetic. I am no longer a PetSmart customer...EVER! read more

Took my small dog (15lbs) for a cut and bath, his appointment was at 9:30am We stayed to shop around the area because we didn't think it would take long at all, they didn't even start his cut until 10:40am and at 11am the next person came in with their dog, the woman stopped cutting my dogs hair and put him in the back and started on the other dog! I had to wait for her to finish the other dogs cut before she finally started to work on my dog again, he didn't even get done until 2:30pm!! And his appointment was at 9:30am!! I've never had an experience where they for one, didn't even start the service for over an hour after he was checked in much less start on another clients dog that's appointment was hours after mine and then make mine wait, completely ridiculous. Then they actually overcharged us by $12 and didn't even tell us why! Needless to say I will never be having salon services at this location again and do not recommend. I'm not going to name the woman on here but definitely will not be recommending her to family or friends. read more

My husband and I were in the area and decided to stop by at this particular PetSmart location we have never used before and never will again! We purchased a bunch of cat food. We are regular PetSmart customers but at a different location and/or online. I noticed they had a lot of cat toys on sale and even on "clearance -priced to sale". I needed to replace a few cat toys and checked their isle. I was happy to found one toy on clearance which I did purchase but the other toy rang out at the regular expensive price. I pointed it out to the male cashier who was helping us. Another employee was called to verify price and, indeed, she returned indicating that the item I thought on sale was actually at regular price and someone must have moved it in the wrong location. lt could have happened so I decided to look carefully for something with the tag above indicating "sale", "clearance" and/or "priced to sale". Seriously, almost the entire wall had toys indicating the clearance or sale with very few in-between that did not. I managed to find another one clearly on clearance and it was the only one! When I returned to the cash register, again it rang at regular price. At this point, I really believe that no matter what I would have selected, all would end up ringing at regular price. I heard of stores playing this games hoping customers do not notice. The employee that verified the first item price seemed clearly annoyed, inefficient and did not even bother to offer to exchange it, help me find one on sale, or offer what I selected at a discount considering our long-time patronage of PetSmart and membership. She was also extremely slow in verifying the price. I complained of the lack of correct pricing and wondered to the cashier if perhaps it had been done on purpose. We were treated unfairly and customer service was poor. I would have called the manager but we had already wasted enough time. I decided not to purchase that second toy and bought two instead of lesser value at Big Lots and more to what I had been looking for. I must say that the employee who went to check on the item price indicated that if there was no sticker on the item itself indicating the clearance or sale price, then it was not on sale/clearance. It would have made sense had it not be for the fact that I had just bought a toy that rang at the clearance price and did not have a sticker. Humm....no explanation for that one. The moral of the story: They lie on their pricing, do not bother to apply sale stickers or clearly indicated that the items are on clearance with so-called sticker. Why bother, right? So, it's easier to just hang it up on the wall, place a sale or clearance sign above and, hopefully, let the customer not notice that at the time of paying, she/he is buying it at regular price.
