I can not stress enough the positive experience we had with Four Paws! Benny is a rescue who had hardly seen a toy much less been groomed. Four paws was responsive, attentive, and empathetic to his story and background. They were patient and thorough with him since he currently is suffering from some anxiety. I came back to pick up a brand new dog with a goofy personality. Not only did they help get rid of all his travelers and give his coat some shine they were also so giving with recommendations and advice! After getting here for my 3rd babies grooming appointment, I'm told that they will not do my little boy because last time they muzzled him,he's a bitter! Well in the beginning I ask if they worked with new puppies; for their first haircuts; do you have patient groomers? And yes of course we do she says! Well then why am I being told a month and half later, that you muzzled my puppy, a puppy!! Just so you the unsuspecting customer can picture this, I have miniature schnauzers not even 20 lbs. If half stars were an option, I'd probably give them 3.5, not terrible, but not a wow experience from customer service point of view. This is for grooming and not for boarding. They don't give you a lot of info during phone booking and inquiry, and then when we showed up they asked for proof of vaccination that they didn't tell me to bring. They also didn't give accurate info about pick up and drop off ahead of time. They proceeded to give a lot of warnings about the possible diseases my dog could catch from being around other dogs. My dog's haircut looked good at pick up, but once we got home I noticed one of this nails was cut too short to the quick and looked like it had bled. His belly also had a red scrape/scab around his nipple. I called them and the lady claimed she never noticed anything during the grooming, and also claimed this has never happened before during grooming. But looking at past reviews, clearly it has bc there were other injuries and dissatisfied customers. I accept that it's possible she didn't notice and wasn't trying to hide it from me, but it also reflected probably a lack of care and attention to detail on their part. Coupled w poor communication over the phone, it just added up to a less-than satisfactory experience, especially for the price they charge! I've gotten far better service at lower prices. I hope they can improve on their customer service and care but until then this is probably not a place I'd return to. read more

I have taken my Irish Wolfhound here once before and had a great experience. Just brought him by yesterday and had a different groomer and was shocked when she brought him out completely shaven. You never ever shave an Irish Wolfhound and I would have thought a professional groomer would have known that. She even had the gall to say they cut a lot of "his breed" that come in this way. That is most likely a lie because I very much doubt "a lot" of wolfhounds come through but if it is not, then they do not know what they are doing with them. They did nothing to rectify the mistake except tell me the hair will grow back. The hair will come back but I won't. read more

Highly recommend! I took my dog here when I lived all the way in Norman and still do because anywhere else said they couldn't do their best because he was "scared of the clipper noise" or he came back to me shaking in fear. Four Paws is the only place my pup leaves happy and excited so I can tell they treated him well and he's never had any cuts or burns on him. They let you drop off at any time that is convenient for you which I love because I work nights and get off at different times in the morning. They're also very familiar and personable with you after just one visit- the second time I called for an appointment she said she remembered having Peruke the last time which I was amazed about! read more

I originally was recommended this place by a few friends as well as tons of positive reviews on nextdoor app, yelp, Facebook, everywhere. I called and got my dog in super quick. Dropping off was easy and it was his first time to get groomed but they were so sweet with him. It was finished quickly and when I went back to get him he was so excited. They even finished it off with a cute bandana. He had a ton of winter fur still so I know he feels so much better. He looks so good. We will definitely be back. read more

Well, this was not the review I wanted to give today however I must be honest. I will not be going back so here is why. This was my 4th time with the same pooch for a bath and grooming. When I picked him up the price had gone up substantial from just a few months ago and nothing was done to my specification, Along with 3 clipper cuts and he smelled terrible. She accepted a same-day booking, so that our Boston Terrier could get his nails trimmed and have a bath. We really appreciated the customer service, and our Boston came home to us smelling better and with an adorable bandana. We did feel that $30 was a little steep considering how little a Boston Terrier needs in terms of grooming, but considering how great the service was we're not complaining. read more

We had been customers here for 2+ years, but will never return after flagrant issues we dealt with today. We had put up with unprofessional service and poor haircuts in the past because of their lower prices, but there is no trade-off given how they treated our dog. The issue: We called and spoke with someone an hour before the store closed for the day because we wanted to know when our dog would would be ready to be picked up. After a five day stay his cut/clean was still not complete and we were told the owner was currently finishing the haircut and he would be ready 30 minutes before they closed. The owner then called us 10 minutes later to fight with us because we had expressed our dissatisfaction that our dog's clean/cut wasn't finished after a five day stay. We arrived at the store when they said he would be finished with the haircut very frustrated at the lack of professionalism and outright rudeness of the owner that called us to provoke a fight. When we picked him up he had multiple cuts and razor marks along his back, legs, and neck (pictures attached). After seeing this at home we knew we would never return and wanted to warn others not only of the lack of professionalism, but also the harm they are exposing their animal to. Whether the cuts were caused by carelessness and a rush haircut or malice because of a phone argument that the owner prompted doesn't really matter when pain is inflicted on an animal. Moreover, our dog always returns dehydrated and I no longer think this is just an oddity of our dog but rather their lack of care for the dogs that are boarding with them. Don't be mislead by any positive comments on here. They seem to be too complimentary of what you can easily tell is a third-rate groomer when you first walk in the doors and see the mess of the shop. Past negative reviews are more indicative of our experience with this store, even at its best. UPDATE: Our dog was sick for two days following staying here. After a good amount of research he has the signs of dehydration. Absolutely awful experience. read more

Four paws gets me. If I call before 9 am, they always get me in that day. I am a huge fan. The employees are so kind and loving to my furry little diva. They do a great job and the price is nice. I love the location, I never leave the 5 mile radius of my home and they don't judge me (out loud) for dropping off my pooch while still rocking my PJs. I like to pick her up after a nice shower and a fresh shellac of makeup so we both feel fancy when we drive (or walk) away. Four paws gets my Five stars. read more

My husband and I have been taking our dogs to this amazing place sense they opened, 9 years ago. They have always gone above and beyond for my doggies. I can't explain how much I love thegirls here! We moved to Austin, TX a year ago. If you don't know much about Austin, it is one of the top places for dog owners. The city is beyond pet friendly and has hundreds of places to groom your dogs. But not my dogs. We drive home with them and still get them groomed at 4paws. We are extremely loyal to this fantastic shop. I've been taking my dog here for grooming and occasional (1-2 times a year) boarding for five years. I've never had an issue with Four Paws until today. My dog was always returned to me in healthy condition and smelling wonderful. The customer service was always on point, too. Well, I had my dog and my boyfriend's dog boarded here over the Labor Day weekend. There was a misunderstanding about the price, which I called to clear up. I was not in the least bit angry when I called, just trying to make sense of the unexpected price. Apparently this was perceived as being "demanding and disrespectful." Instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt, or even really a chance to speak, the owner yelled at me that I could have my money back and hung up on me. So of course I went in to apologize and try to clear it up but was met with anger and a lecture from the owner and her daughter on how to be respectful to people who provide me a service. It's a shame. I wish that bridge hadn't been burned because I really trusted them to take good care of my dogs. They apparently have a chip on their shoulders based on this interaction and others I've now read of in the reviews. Long story short, don't get on their bad side. It ain't pretty. read more
