Finally canceled my membership after a year. I took my dog in to get xrays done about a year ago and signed up for their plan case they said it was included. When I wanted to cancel few months later they said I had a balance of over 1,000 and couldn't cancel until I paid it off. One year later of making payments I went to cancel and I still had to pay 150 to cancel it off. Don't get a membership. It doesn't cover nothing you pay it all at the end plus thy lie about your puppy for you to buy more stuff there and keeping back. DONT GET A MENEVERHSIP HERE. read more

Do not recommend!!Was told by my vet to go there for prescription food, employee told me they can't accept RX unless from Banfield . Went home and called and was told yes they will accept RX. But apparently forget to train staff on that . Employees rude , don't care, not knowledgeable about pets . Do not use Banfield as they refused to prescribe my dog life saving medication even when I belonged to wellness plan and paid extra $500 for cardiac ultrasound. We went there as we got a new puppy that won't eat normal puppy food yet, we wanted to see if he'd eat the Freshpet food and they're the only ones around that have the Puppy version of the Freshpet. Seems like they've got a lot of cool stuff, but trying to checkout is ridiculously slow. I mean slower than grandma's molasses on the coldest December morning. Giving two stars because one person doesn't represent all of my appointments, I've had 15-20 of the same appointment type and I've only had issue with the trimming being jagged but this time my dogs is limping and bleeding from how much nerve is exposed? I don't expect a lot as it's not a fancy grooming salon but at minimum he shouldn't be bleeding, point blank. And secondly once again I'm not getting treat points since April, thought it was resolved when they found out two accounts had been made somehow but I guess it happened again. Lucky for them I didn't pick him up and the store had closed not long after he was done, I would raise hell over his pain and the amount of blood that is on my carpet/floor. I have 2 golden retrievers and a border collie mix dog- I had PetSmart grooming services done today. They had bath nail trim and brush with furminator. I was very satisfied with how it turned out, they smell good and the groomer Maddie was great handling them! Will be bringing them back here definitely!! read more

I love all the things they have for dogs but the employees (not all of them) tend to be crabby or rude almost everytime.

Not a good experience for our 10+ month old mini labradoodle's grooming appointment because of the below reasons: - her hair was cut too close to the skin in some areas but luckily no skin cut. Giving 1 star for that. - she did not look like she just had a bath. We had asked for premium shampoo and deep Coat conditioner. No sign of that. Usually her tan hair gets brighter, softer and fluffier after bath. - Her neck area still smelled sweaty like before. Interestingly her low back area had very faint scent of perfume. - her breath did not smell fresh so doubtful they even brushed her teeth - Her nails were trimmed but not filed. It seemed they realized nail trimming was not included so left in the middle. We found that out when she jumped on us with excitement (when we went to pick her up) and scratched our arms. Note: We did not ask for that service - Lastly there was another lady who was very rude both times when we went to drop her off and pick her up. These were the things we experienced with the grooming service here. We cannot even comment on what she must have gone through for those 3 long hours there. We left the place without saying anything to anyone but promised ourselves to never leave our baby there for such a terrible service and treatment. One of the kitties needed special food, so PetSmart was the place to go for it. I wasn't sure where to find it and after fruitlessly looking amongst dozens of bags of cat food, in a few different cat food aisles, so I asked an employee. He led me over to a different aisle, right to what I needed, located next to the vet clinic at the front of the store: Royal Canin Urinary SO. Being that it's suuuper pricey, I was glad to receive a coupon for $10 off my next purchase of this food, at the bottom of my receipt. I got caught up in looking at the numerous cat supply aisles. So much fun! They have a huge selection of toys, including the Thrills & Chills collection for Halloween. The prices were very reasonable. I found a few great Grumpy Cat themed items on clearance, getting a fuzzy hairball toy and two little colored yarn balls. The kitties love them already! Everything was very neatly arranged on the shelves, with prices clearly marked. The selection of all of your pet's needs and wants is just HUGE! Cat beds, carriers, treats, food, litter, dishes - they have it all. The grooming area was super busy, though I can't speak to the quality of the service. This was my first time going to this location. It's near where I work and thought it would be convenient for me to stop by and pick up 2 boxes of worms for my amphibian. When I got home, I realized one box had no worms in it and the other box was full of mold. When I called customer service to tell them about my issue, the lady on the phone was chewing and talking to me with food in her mouth. Very unprofessional of her and inconvenient for me that I have to make another trip back to return my items. I'll stick with going to my local Petsmart near where I live. read more

The store smells bad. I hate walking through the store there is hair everywhere. The place needs maintenance especially the floors .

First off the puppy coupon book is worth every penny. I have been taking my miniature dachshund here since he was 10 weeks old and Gabby in the grooming salon has taken such good care of him every time. My puppy is even excited to see her when we pull up! His nails are always trimmed well, teeth sparkling and his coat is shiny soft and smells like coconut! Excellent service read more

Terrible customer service both at the front check out and at the Banfield at the back. It really shouldn't take 45 minutes for them to create a prescription card in order for me to carry a case of special food to the front to pay for it. New to the area.... wanted to get my doberman pincher washed and nail trim. He hates kennels, gets crazy in them. I booked an early appointment (only ones here). Explained to the staff that I will wait for him to be done, that they do not have to dry him all the way, and not to kennel him. They said okay and then charged me an extra fee to not kennel him?!? Even though I was right here to take him when he is done. Very rude. I will not be back!! It is worth the drive from Ofallon to Petco on Olive because they are fantastic! No hidden fees. This store, well, it's a mess! On a weekly basis something I regularly buy is moved within the store. Food for my dogs, cat, ferret, bulbs for the snake tank and even treats. It's beyond annoying. About 1 out of 4 visits I will find a friendly staff member at checkout. Other times it's like I'm a bother, or if I have someone to actually help me they usually guess at something I'm asking. (Really an employee suggested Beneful food to me .... Uhhhh?) Then today, 07/26, I had an employee in grooming talk down to me in front of other customers regarding my dogs quick. I work in the veterinary field, and the only reason I don't do them myself is because I don't want to be the "bad guy" in my house. She didn't clip them short enough and when we went back in to have them clipped again they did not seem happy about this. Mind you this was after we walked in, weren't greeted, and had to listen to two employees argue over cutting their dogs for 2-3 minutes. Really dislike this store, but sadly they're the closest one to our home. I guess the one star is for having the squeaky toys my little dogs like and the catnip my cat loves. read more

This PetsMart grooming center accidentally cut my dogs foot during her trim. They did not call us immediately, yet waited six hours until their vet could look at it...this is unacceptable practice! They should have notified us immediately and allowed us to come and comfort our dog and allowed us the choice of who treated her, as I prefer my own vet to see my animals! NEVER again! I took my Bichon Frise to be groomed and received a horrible fur cut. They wanted $48, plus $12 for nail grinding. Ultimately, the manager did not charge for the terrible cut, but they screwed my dog's fur for several weeks (maybe months) until all of his fur on his tail grows back. She literally messed up his cut and left the store before I arrived to pick up my dog. She SUCKS at her job! You know who you are Ms. T! Major fail! Never again. My dog's eyes and muzzle area was left dirty and discolored. I will not use them for grooming again! That's it. My dog even looks unhappy with the cut! I can only speak for the groomer I work with but she is great! Paige is always so sweet with my dog and always does a great job with him. I had taken him to yuppy puppy for a play camp once and thought since I was already there I would have him groomed as well... I asked for just a trim and came back to him buzzed all the way - he didn't even look like my dog anymore. Needless to say Paige at petsmart is the only one I'll bring my dog to now, she never disappoints. read more

If you care for your pet, do not take them here for grooming. I did, and watched as the groomer stepped away from the table and my dog jumped, only to be hanging by her neck. Groomers manager is a bitch who can't seem to train her employees. I called to get my puppy groomed and she'd been to a petsmart before so she was in the system. They asked her age and I said ~4.5 months and they asked for a rabies shot papers, I said that she's getting that Thursday. To which they responded after putting me on hold to talk to I'm presuming their manager with that would be okay since she's still so young..... So then I come in for the appt and they went to confirm her age and then asked for the papers to which I told them what the groomer on the phone said. This manager was then like, with attitude, "policy says that you have to have it so we won't take her". To which I responded that she should train her employees better so she wouldn't waste anyone else's time. I would have been disappointed but fine if she had just apologized and said that her employee shouldn't have said that, but instead she was disrespectful with her attitude and tone of voice. read more

I don't usually write reviews but yesterday this guy Dalton in the fish area was so helpful. I wanted to set up my first cichlid tank. Normally people in the fish area don't know what the hell there doing so I wasn't expecting any help. Dalton showed me which cichlids would be ideal in my 50 gallon tank. Don't know how he knew but he knew how big they get and how old they live. This guy could even tell which ones were male and female! He also wrote down what the ph should be at and the specific diets of the fish. I wrote down this guys name so If I have any questions I could ask for him.
