This PetSmart was a very convenient stop on my way home. This store is open until 9 PM on weekdays which is slightly later than other locations in the area. I arrived about half an hour before closing and the service was still great. That's even considering how many cans of cat food I had in my basket! Checkout was efficient and my trip was very quick. I was in and out with Friskies cat food. I found the store to be very organized and clean. There were a lot of options for cat food. There were a lot of fun options for dogs. My favorite was hiking gear and hiking beds for dogs. Some of the leashes, collars, and clothes were highly reflective. I felt it was a great idea to dress up your companion for hiking. Even though my dogs wouldn't agree. Few things concerned me. I'm a noticer though many customers wouldn't probably notice these things. First is cat grass by the checkout was pretty badly wilted. Not just one of the pots but multiple. It made me question the longevity of this pet grass after purchase. Second is I was standing by the cat adoption area and noticed that litter boxes were not clean. Not for the one cat that was there and not in the empty spaces. This really made me think whether the same happens in the pet hotel. I don't board my pets at PetSmart but mentioning this for the sake of anyone who does. Overall, there are only slight suggestions for improvement. I would visit this store again due to how organized it is! read more

We take our pups to the groomer at Petsmart, we have tried many groomers in the area, but they don't don't have that special touch to make our honey and too look so adorable! Chelsea and the others do an amazing job. I highly recommend this groomer, you would be surprised because it's Petsmart, but they are very professional and just like higher end groomers that charge $$$$. My cat was completely normal and healthy through this stay yet Hannah and Kayla harassed me by phone on my vacation and bullied me about not an additional $200 vet bill which was not necessary as he did not have a blockage. I also just spoke to Hannah trying to end this a day earlier and have a reduced expense picking him for an after hours pick up in the event my flight to Cleveland was delayed as it was expected to arrive just before 8pm. I was denied this and will now have to pay for a hotel room to wait to pick up my cat when the store opens the next day of f I can't get off the plane pick up luggage find my car and drive through city traffic to the PetSmart in a total of 1 hour time. This will be the first if many daily reviews of I don't get my cat tonight. read more

First time visit for us. I called yesterday for an appointment for a bath and nail clipping for my thirteen year old Coonhound. The young lady was very nice and we made an appointment for today. Everyone we encountered was cheerful and kind. Erickson (not sure of spelling) was Pearls' groomer and he is fantastic. Pearl can be timid and very stubborn. Erickson was so patient and sweet with her. I am so appreciative of the great care we received. All the dogs getting groomed looked so calm. Thank you for the great experience. read more

I went my second time to the grooming salon for nail clippings. I took all four of my girls to go at the same time. Two of my girls are puppies and two are ten years old. I informed the girls again that the techs at the vet did something to the one so she has a hard time trusting people. While she was in the back, two of the ladies were trying to calm her down. They were having a hard time so I was trying to calm her down. Ashley, another girl there, who seemed to be a little irritated, said with a rude tone not to talk to my dog as the girls have her. The tone was very harsh and made me very uncomfortable. They had what I think was a manager come back which also made me uncomfortable because it led me to believe they thought I was going to do something. I gave one star since the girls that clipped all four girls were very friendly. Because of Ashley I will no long take my girls there. read more

petsmart is a good place to go and get your pet stuff. They have everything a little pricey but the quality is good the service is good and they have rewards some of the dog food that they carry. You can only get there or maybe Amazon but nowhere else I'm planning on going todayand pick up some dog food. I love the diamond puppy. read more

So I purchased a pair of $29 dog boots several days ago. I paid by check. PetSmart takes the money directly out of you account and gives you the physical check back. The boots were not suitable for the purpose I needed. So I tried to return them today. The young girl at the register was unsure of how to refund a check. So she spoke on her headset to "Adam", who I assume was in management. He told her to give me a gift card, as they couldn't return my cash before 10 days. I argued that they took the money directly out of my account. So I would like cash. I asked to speak to "Adam". She asked him to come out. Instead he sent another young woman, who again was unsure of the policy and again spoke to the "Almighty Adam". He just repeated policy and would not come out. At that point,I said I would return at the 10 day point. But PetSmart needs to employ management that can actually speak with customers. Adam, whoever he is, just stayed in back and let ill trained, but nice employees do his job. This is the reason I will be shopping at Chewy from now on. read more

My dog was safe when I picked her up and that is most important. However, I saw that she did not have her own blanket or her own toys when I arrived. I was told that staff "probably packed them up last night" to get her ready to go home. If they were packed up, that means my dog didn't have them, which I thought would help her feel more comfortable. I never received a photo of the Bedtime Bliss package, which I waited all night for. They used an old email instead of the one on her registration, which they could not find when I arrived to pick her up. I received the photo after picking her up and again she is in a different blanket with a different toy. Looks like she never had her own things. There's no picture of the Sundae or bedtime story so as far as I know they could have taken the picture 5 minutes before I arrived. I paid $142 for one night, including $55 for grooming and a 10% discount and my dog couldn't even have her own toy or blanket. The two girls who were working when I dropped her off were very welcoming but the girl who was working when I picked her up was blase' (with the long black hair and lines shaved through her eyebrows). read more

My groomer did an excellent job; if this review were only about that, she would get 5 stars. I just used PetsMart hotel in north olmsted last weekend. I've used them for over 15 years but was unpleasantly surprised to learn they increased their prices over 40% for an overnight stay for my 10 lb. dog. Now $47! I've always liked the hotel staff there and that they're staffed 24 hr in the hotel. Very disappointed booking it via a call center and not notified about the huge price increase until after i picked up my dog. They said it's for additional 15 minutes of play time per day. Wow. Today AGAIN: Nail trim done, I complained about the grinding, and both girls had excuses, took the dogs back, but their nails did not look much better afterwards. No pad shaving, ear cleaning or hair removal was done. I don't care for the bandana, but when I pay $20 per dog I expect them to do what they promise to do. We dropped our golden labradoodle off here for his first time being in a kennel. He is 8 months old. We dropped him off on a Saturday evening and even enrolled him in doggie day camp. We called Sunday to check on him and the staff was awesome with an explanation and put us on hold to check on him. When we picked him up, he was exhausted just like we were warned but happy and clean. He wasn't starving so we know he ate. They also let us know he played well with the other dogs. Upon entrance they checked him for fleas and had us present proof of his vaccinations. I love that they did this because it will protect our puppy bowser from other dogs that might have these issues. He was unharmed, safe and happy and that's all I can ask for! read more

I have tried shopping at Pet Supplies Plus which is closer to me but the Lakewood store is never stocked with the food that I want. I had a Newfie a few years back that I took in for grooming. While she was matted the groomer proceeded to shave the dog to where she was unrecognizable. Even with that happening, I was willing to try again with our new dog. We now have a Great Pyrenees puppy who is about 11 months old. He is a very nervous puppy. We took him up to get him groomed and received a call within 30 minutes that he didn't bathe well and to come back and get him. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GROOMING SALON TO ANYONE! To find the highest prices in town, go to Pet Supplies Plus. For the unhealthiest products for Fido, shop at Marc's. Marc's should just be called the duty free of China annex. Props to the staff at the PetsHotel. I have been taking my dog to the PetHotel here for just shy of a decade. He goes at least once a week min. sometimes more and have boarded him here from one night to a week. The staff at the hotel are amazing. Extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating. They sincerely care for the pets and it shows. I also find that many of the other staff members (outside the hotel) mirror this high-level of service. My expectations at this store have been exceeded and would recommend highly recommend the North Olmsted PetSmart PetsHotel. read more

Absolutely the worst, and I won't be going back! I made an appointment for my dogs grooming. After getting there, I was turned away bc he was at the vet that day for shots. The vet said it was absolutely fine! So I guess the groomers know better than his doctor! It wasn't a problem the last time I took him for his vet & grooming appointments! Which is what I don't understand. My dog has bad legs and it isn't easy getting him into the car. When I talked to the manager, he wasn't very helpful at all. Didn't know the store "policy". Just when I thought all hope was lost for customer service in Cleveland, James came and rescued the day. I have a new puppy baby so I thought I would pop in to see what they had for him. I took my yorkie here to get groomed, and they did a great job grooming him, however, he came home with fleas that I've been trying to get rid of ever since. We are new to the area, so he doesn't play with any other animals, and he has never had fleas before. Sadly I'll never take my dog back there. My dog was licking her paw Excessively so as a precaution they threw her out of doggy day camp and put her in a small glass "suite" jail cell for over 48 hours with no play time at all!! OfCourse they still charged me the full price of $150. My dog is a doberman, they do not do well in isolation, why they would put my dog in isolation because she's licking her Paw as a precaution is animal abuse and terrible! This isn't the first bad experience I've had the last time I brought my dog here she threw up and they called me from Florida and said I had to come pick my dog up immediately or they're going to take her to the vet and charge me $700!! NEVER take your dog to get groomed here. I took my poodle mix puppy to get groomed at this location with 2 specific instructions: just trim the hair on his face and head and shave the hair on his butt very short. They shaved him the same length all over (1/2 inch), including his face and head. If I wanted him shaved the same length all over, I would have done it myself. He was last groomed a month and a half ago and I brush him every other day, so matting was definitely not an issue where he needed to be shaved. He went from looking like a teddy bear that needed a trim to a gremlin. I'm extremely upset. read more

I had two small dogs groomed here before and there was no problem. However, I brought in my other large dog for a bath and nail clipping recently and received a phone call from the groomer that my dog had "labored breathing, didn't seem okay and needed a vet" -those were the exact words!!!! I asked a lot of questions trying to figure what happened and the groomer stated that my dog was drooling (which he does when he's nervous) and panting (again the nervousness). So nothing added up and I raced over there expecting to see a really sick dog and he was fine. Yes --panting and drooling from being scared. The groomers are not that seasoned there and they need to staff more experienced groomers! read more
