The following texts on 06/10/21 were after a detailed phone conversation, explaining to Alfredo I…read moreneeded to leave as soon as possible for a trip to CA. I explained to him that one of my dogs had been diagnosed with valley fever some months before and taking medication. For anyone not familiar with valley fever, it is a fungal infection that is prevalent in AZ due to a dog inhaling it from the dirt, and and is treated long term, well after symptoms have passed. My dog had clear chest x-rays and a negative titer but was still under treatment due to the potential of the fungal infection recurring if treatment was stopped too early. I will leave it up to you as to whether or not you think his service is a fit for your pets, but I would NEVER trust him after my one and only experience. 3:02 pm (me) - Hi, Alfredo. The vet said it was okay to give Dash Bordetella vaccine with him having valley fever. I am now packing as quickly as possible and will text you when I am able to bring dogs. Thanks so much! 3:04 pm (Alfredo/RR) - Sorry but we just got booked completely 3:06 pm (me) - What!? I just spoke with you on phone about two relatives dying in CA and needing to leave, and you said you only had one dog currently. How could you get booked a few minutes after you told me I could drop them off? I am in tears right now because I need to leave! 3:15 pm (me) - I am not sure what happened and why you decided you could not take my dogs after we spoke (I am VERY scattered right now), but I will make sure to leave reviews. Thanks for letting me know ahead of time as to your character! 3:17 pm (Alfred/RR) - Your dogs are not fully vaccinated. It's a big liability one has a compromised immune system and we cannot take them in knowing they are not fully vaccinated. It puts your dog and others at risk. During the summer we get booked fast. 3:24 pm (me) - As stated on the phone, my dogs are fully vaccinated. The bordetella vaccine would protect all dogs within 3 days (which you and I both know that is what kennels and shelters use)! Make all the excuses you want. If that was the case, you should have told me on the phone. I deal with vets on a daily basis and know what I'm talking about. I also highly doubt you booked yourself fully within 10 minutes max. You only had 1 dog and had supposedly agreed to take my 2, so even by some miraculous chance you had a phone call to take 10 more dogs, I should have had 1 kennel reserved. I will leave my reviews and let people think what they want, but they should know. I'm done with this nonsense, as I have more important things to deal with, such as finding a pet sitter so that I can be with my family at a time of need! 3:29 pm (Alfredo/RR) - Again, we cannot run that risk. Sorry we even offered to pick up the vaccine and you denied it. If they were fully vaccinated it wouldn't be a problem. The small dog has a compromised immune system. Us taking him in would be highly irresponsible knowing that the active virus could cause him to get sick. 3:30 pm (me) - I anticipate you will say these things in response to my reviews, but I will counteract each and everything you state. I never refused the vaccine that you were going to pick up - I phoned the vet to make sure it was okay, and it was. 3:31 pm (Alfredo/RR) - https://www.cuteness.com/article/soon-should-dog-bordetella-shot 3:34 pm (Alfredo/RR) - I dont know what else to tell you. We did our part. We have to make sure all dogs are fully vaccinated. Any boarding facility will ask for proof of vaccinations. Especially bordatella. 3:35 pm (me) - Know your facts before giving clients the okay. https://stauganimal.com/bordetella 3:36 pm (Alfredo/RR) - * It can take up to 72 hours for the vaccination to be effective after it has been administered. 3:37 pm (me) - Yes, it can, but risk was low due to our conversation and understanding. I am done talking now and have other things to do. Some photos of the text conversation did not upload properly, but I wanted to post pictures of the conversation in anticipation that Alfredo will counteract by saying I misquoted something. Also, the text message script above was cut/pasted from the actual texts and not retyped (I only added the time stamp and identifying person).

It was cute to receive messages about how she was doing and I could see that she was totally being her goofy, fun self. She came home glossy, clean and in perfect health. I will be boarding her again with Alfredo and his camp. The house was spotless and peaceful and for the price of $25 a day, the quality of care (exercise, attention, companionship) can't be beat!
