Spoke with main petsmart grooming number to book an appointment for my cat. The instructions are quite clear that you have to have 48 hours to Rabies shot, no problem. But the lady I spoke said 24 hours is okay. Then I said well it's one hour off, do you think that's ok. She said no problem. Went to appointment and for that one hour difference, I was turned down at the Vally Ranch! Get it together! I will never come here again! read more

Customer service sucks. Front end people don't care about line control or directing/correcting aggressive, rude customers. I was yelled at by another customer and front end staff did nothing. Manager offers very meek apology and made it out like I was in the wrong which I wasn't. read more

Made appointment for 12:30. 3:00 nothing. My poor dog sat in a kennel for over 2 hours for no reason. The old woman there asked if I understood what a block appointment was, I advised I was not told the appointment I made was a "block appointment" & told her she was being rude. This is for the grooming salon only. I have had my dogs groomed at other Petsmarts over the past 14 years and this is the absolute WORST grooming salon I have ever dealt with. They have a hostile, unfriendly attitude towards pet owners. They act like we are a bother. At first I thought this was just the attitude of a single groomer but it has been consistent with others over the past 10 months. The groomers are argumentative and unfriendly and so is the manager. Never have I argued with a groomer in 14 yrs until I came to this store. Once was about supposed "mats" on the stomach of my schnauzer they insisted should be shaved off without even trying to brush it out. [they always brush out super easily - If I would have known they couldn't brush a dog, I would have done it myself] We agreed if there was any difficulty brushing it out, they could just shave her. As I knew would happen, they had no issues brushing it out and didn't have to shave her. The last groomer who groomed her didn't even try and just shaved everything off enmasse. That was the first time my 15 yr old dog has been shaved in 14 yrs despite regular every other month groomings! My poor little dog looks like a shaved rat! There was another incident where I dropped my dog off 25 minutes before her appointment. [never knew this was an issue until now] They rudely told me to come back at the time of my appointment. In summary, this is the rudest, most unhelpful, unaccommodating grooming salon I have ever used. They do very poor work and are very unfriendly. There are many better options in this area. read more

I have always used petsmart to groom my dog. I recently moved and had to choose this location. The grooming dept is a JOKE! I upgraded package to include nail grinding and the nails were hardly even done. The girl said "the dog wouldn't allow her to cut the nails" this was the first time I ever heard this from a groomer. I bring my dog home and she still smells!!! Wasted $65 and will NEVER use another petsmart for grooming. read more

Great location and very helpful staff. This is a new location so the store is very neat and clean. They have a grooming section to the left when you enter the store. They don't have a pharmacy within this particular location though. I have already had both of my dogs groomed on separate occasions and they did great jobs on both. The staff is so friend and helpful, I even had one girl go look in the back to try and find something. She was in the middle of inventory and could have easily said no. They have a large selection of the food brand that we buy and it's always in stock. Since opening this location has already had a couple of adoption days for both cats and dogs. Hopefully they were successful in finding homes for most of the animals. read more

DO NOT USE THEIR GROOMING!! I honestly wish I could give 0 starts. To sum my experience up at this location. I took my Husky here and was hoping to have her brushed and bathed. Shayla was my groomer. When I went to go pick my dog up her hair was matted and looked worst than before. Her undercoat looked UNTOUCHED as if they didn't even brush her. She was still blowing hair every where even when walking. Now understandably I get she is a husky and things won't be perfect, but the level of service was very poor. I will not return to this location and I'd advise any pet owner who loves their dog to avoid this place at all costs. read more

I was honest. I just wanted to pet the kittens. The girls working would not let me. Poor kitties. I was being polite, saving them from their "adopt one" sales pitch. Yet they were not interested unless I was adopting one. These kittens clearly wanted to be pet, I wanted to pet them and the employees clearly did not want to work. All could have been easily accomplished to everyone's benefit. Sad loss for everyone but the kitties are the real loser in this situation so it's only to them I express love and gratitude. read more

I stood in the fish department waiting for help and no one made contact with me. Two employees were standing next to the department shooting the s*** with a customer for ten minutes while I kept making eye contact with them. They never budged, so I walked out. Poor customer service. read more

I have used this location for grooming my two shih tzus for as long as they have been there. I have had a couple of minor issues but nothing too major until yesterday. Now I will never go back. They called me Friday to book an appointment for both dogs. I had not asked for them to call me or set anything up prior. I was happy to set up the appointment as it was needed. Both dogs have been groomed there many times and their groomers always brag about how sweet and gentle both boys are. We have never ever had a problem with either dog being aggressive or anything resembling that. When I picked them up, the elderly dog's face had not been trimmed and he looked like a Scottish Terrier. We asked for what we always get and that is a summer trim, leaving the hair as short as possible. All over. This was unacceptable. Then they released my other dog WHO WAS STILL WET. Long story short: they got a new guy in there with a bad attitude, they were over booked and they had way too many dogs in the back making all the dogs nervous. They should have never called me trying to fill their gaps because obviously they overbooked. I did get my money back but not until the new guy tried to tell me my dogs were aggressive and he just refused to touch the elderly one again because he kept trying to bite him...the dog has NO TEETH! read more

Went in with my granddaughter to get a "friend" for her 5 year old fish. The fish section is absolutely disgusting and smells. Most of the tanks are murky and there are too many fish crammed into the tanks. Since we were only buying goldfish or some type of beginner fish that my granddaughter picked out - I was going to go ahead and just deal with the filth, get the fish and go. Welp - the girl working in the fish department wouldn't sell them to us because after grilling us for several minutes, she said our ten gallon tank we have at home was too small for more than one fish!!! I pointed to their disgusting tanks crammed with fish and she said "yeah I know, but we sell a lot of fish so they aren't in there for too long and yeah I feel sorry for them too." I said whatever and we left. My granddaughter who is 7, was confused and felt weird leaving the store without a fish after she spent 20 minutes trying to pick out the perfect ones! And... by the way - one of the goldfish we were wanting was out of the feeder fish tank - so I guess we could have bought it if we were going to FEED it to something, but not if we wanted to keep it as a pet? Ridiculous. So we left and went 10 minutes away to Pet Supplies Plus which was super clean, had friendly staff AND had a Black Friday sale for half of all their fish. read more

New Caney PetSmart store will forever be my go to! My pups Love the groomers and bathers so much! They know where we are as soon as we pull in the parking lot. Tila, the salon manager is the absolute best! She's so helpful in explaining what all the different options and packages are and what's best suited for your baby. The entire staff is so welcoming and caring as soon as you walk in I never hesitate to leave my babies. My youngest has separation anxiety and will scream when I leave the room but these girls take such GOOD care of her and SPOIL her she never even whimpers when I have to leave her for a few hours. She loves being clean and pampered. Thank you PetSmart Grooming salon for being a place I feel safe to take my beloved babies to and for all your hard work! read more

Went into store to buy an invisible fence and extra collar. The poor girl on the register was the only employee to be found. She did not have a key, one manager had just left no one would answer her on the radio and she did not have a key. We waited far too long.
