Dead fish on the bottom of the tank. They all died.
    Emmy f.

It's unfortunate when you buy a bunch of fish on Christmas Eve and you wake up on Christmas morning to all of the fish being dead. And pet smart will only give you a refund if you bring in all the dead fish. Unfortunately I was in the hospital with a parent on Christmas Day so I had my son take a photo of the dead fish. Pet smart would not refund the money unless we kept the fish in a bag in our freezer. We bought about 20 fish. They should have told us what to do if any died. 3 were dead by the time we got home. PetSmart you need to do better. You should take into consideration what happened and what day it happened. I definitely won't be back. Someone else could have done better at customer service when your staff was not doing their job very well. The advice given was absolutely inaccurate.

Her name is Bella Ruse I enrolled her in the daycare and train. The difference in her behavior afterwards was amazing. Once we pull on to the street where the facility is located, she start wagging her tail and practically pulls me out of the car to go inside. She comes home happy and tired after playing all day with her friends, while watched over by the caring staff. On the phone Mr. Booker seemed to understand what I wanted. I was told it would be all good... I was not. When I showed up I should've known... I was like how do they have 155 reviews at 4.7. It must be for a good reason right?! As I went to my car a grandma was dropping off a dog at the same time so it made me feel better. When I picked him up...He then said "half his eyelashes were cut"!! As a dog mom I thought okay maybe he moved? Then when their only payment is cash or Zelle (red flag/or supporting local) he mentions my dog scratched him and I lied about the size of my shih tzu. I pick up my dog and look at his front nails and they looked ok. I should've looked at the back. When I brought Chewie into my car to see his brother they are usually so excited... Chewie immediately ran underneath my car seat and didn't get out til the garage door closed while I parked...at my house. I was livid. Then they didn't mention they cut my dogs quick "because it happens a lot", but they did mention they cut Chewie's eyelashes. My dog was so scared I could not reach to pet him once. So I called the owner the story changed 4 times. Started with "he wanted to jump off...He jumped but we got him...Then he had the lead on and tried to jump..." then finally "he could never jump w the lead on." So who knows the story because their cameras don't work-I asked. He has been boarded for many vacations and groomed many times and never showed this behavior. While on the phone with the owner I asked to see the area they were bathed in..he said that was not possible. I just wanted to see how it could've differed from his previous groomers. Something happed to my dog and I don't think I can ever find out. I've collected the business information for reference below. THE PET SERVICE, LLC Jeremy Booker, Manager of Operations

Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

When we introduced a brand new puppy into our dog pack, the problems started and kept escalating. Eventually, we started having full out dog fights between our dogs - which wasn't a thing before. It got to the point where it was "send the dogs to training or find them a new home." So I researched the top 3 dog trainers in our area. Triumph K9 training was the one and only business who took the time to call me. Another business emailed me generic info and I never heard back from the other. Pretty shortly after I submitted an inquiry request, I spoke with Shannon on the phone. A free consult was set up and her husband, Eddie, came out to our house. As soon as I met Eddie, I trusted him. I trusted him because my dogs (who are normally pretty protective) were calm around him. Although I didn't want to send my dogs away to training for 4 weeks, I knew they'd be in safe hands. Very disappointed with this local franchise of Bark Busters that claim such a vaunted reputation spanning several years. We engaged Bark Busters for our dogs' (2) behaviors. In discussion before the actual training session, we were told we would not have to pay if not satisfied. In later discussion, it was claimed by the trainer, Pat C, that we had been told we had to say we were not going to pay by the very end of the training session, and not any later. Naturally, we disagree over this restriction on timing. We could not get a refund from him. The lesson required making a particular sound which I cannot make for legitimate medical reasons. That, and other items, were never told us before we engaged the lesson. We were told it was a positive raining. It was not. Again, we were not apprised of program components before we engaged the training service. There was very little awareness of what the training involved which could have been, and should've been, explained before. If it is considered proprietary material, then a broad scope of whatever would take place could've been made. It turned out, the methods were not revealed until the session began. As it became revealed, the philosophy was misrepresented. The positivity was not evident in training. It was not cruel, but it was not positive. My wife inquired about what positive would be. She was told he would deal with that later. Never happened. The trainer was pleasant enough, though. By the end of the lesson, why didn't we say anything and decline to pay. First, we didn't know that was when we had to mention it, and the only time, despite what Pat (our trainer) may claim he said. Second, we were so overwhelmed with information and parts of training we were still wondering about, as they had not been addressed, we were sort of mentally "floating" by the end of session. U strongly suggest, given this franchisee's "guarantee," that you do noy pay, and give yourself a chance to think about what you experienced in the training (BTW, this arrangement for the dissatisfied paying/or not by the very end of the training session or not is not a company-wide one. Third, payment is an almost automatic response to pay for a person's labors when the job is done. When we asked for a refund, we were told we had passed the deadline and couldn't get one. I strongly suggest. If you want to consider Bark Busters, particularly the franchisee we had train us, make that you feel comfortable and informed of how the training will be presented and its content. I cannot speak for all trainers, but Pat made statements that weren't kept, did not disclose methods and philosophy beforehand, and only (not enough to make an informed decision) the day prior to the session did we get anything that told us some of the content of the program. The training was incomplete, ineffective, showed no promise, despite the claim of the million dogs that allegedly have trained by this company. However, I cannot make a judgement on the parent company, but only on the way this franchisee presented the material and the way he ran his franchise, and my experience.

Honestly, I could have taken him to a basic puppy class and gotten better results for a fraction of the cost. What makes this even more frustrating is that the program included follow-up support--specifically an in-home training session and an additional training session to ensure everything was going well. I never received either of those services. I called multiple times trying to schedule, and no one ever returned my calls. Additionally, when I came to pick my dog up, they had a shock collar for me, which they had me pay a additional $200.00 for, since I never heard from them again I don't really know how to use it effectively with my dog. I have done my own research, but this is HIGHLY unprofessional. That level of poor communication is unacceptable, especially given how much I paid. When I entrusted them with my dog, I was very clear about my situation. I shared that I have PTSD from my military service and work as a first responder, and that having a well-behaved dog is important for me to feel confident taking him out in public. I put a lot of trust in this program, and they completely let me down. This experience was not only a financial disappointment but also a personal one. It has been almost a year now and never once have they reached out to see how my dog is doing or see if his training is going well at home- or deliver on the promise they made. I would not recommend this program to anyone looking for reliable, effective dog training or even basic customer support.
