We had our two big doogs, Max and Sox, groomed yesterday. They're sweet dogs and very easy to manage, but it is hard for us to do it. Aaron did an excellent job. The dogs came back looking amazing, and their nails looked great Today we took our little Chihuahua, and he was nervous, but Erin A did her best I would highly recommend their services. Petsmart on Hampton Ave is a good place to go for all of your pets needs. They have fish, birds, reptiles and turtles. There is also a cat rescue inside that has kittens and cats available for adoption. They offer dog training and grooming. They also have a veterinarian on site. Our dogs love to go there ! read more

I go to this PetSmart because they have my dog food there. I've been there like three times and all three times cashiers are very unfriendly. It's like they hate their work or something. Maybe they hate being there. Maybe they hate their company. I don't know what it is, but un friendly cashiers nobody smiles. I don't think I'll be going there anymore. read more

First time taking my two yorkies to Pestsmart grooming. I got there early, but forgot to bring vaccine records. Groomer offered to reschedule. I offered to email the records as soon as I got home, but she would not take the dogs. I live close-by, so I took off to get the records with my dogs and was told that I had a 15 minute grace period. The appointment was at 11:30, so I had until 11:45 to get back. I walked in at 11:46 and I was told that I was too late and she would reschedule. I am an elderly disabled woman and it is a real effort to manage taking my dogs anywhere in the car. I will never go back. read more

Everything went well! My dog had had a bad experience before, now she looks so forward to going and seeing Connor and the rest of the groomers she just cannot wait to get there! She trusts them she understands what they're going to do to her. She is a change dog since we've had Connor grooming her! My hat goes off to Connor! I really didn't think Molly could change after having such a bad experience. Thank you again Connor for giving me my dog back the sweet and lovable lady that she really is. And she looks so wonderful when she comes all done up and pretty after you get done with her and it lasts so much longer with you than it has with any other groomer I don't know what you do but whatever you do don't stop!! Scheduled a grooming appointment several weeks ago in advance and prepaid for the appointment. Showed up with my dog and was told the groomer I scheduled with no longer works on Mondays. What the hell does that mean? No one called me or notified me of this change in advance. I had my dog ready to go and was told they are all booked up so I had to reschedule. Unacceptable! Shameful and incredibly unprofessional of the groomer who did nothing to make things right, no apology for the inconvenience, nothing. Just looked at me blankly asking me if I received a phone call about the situation. If I had then I would not have shown up. How stupid and ridiculous! Terrible customer service and ridiculous handling of the situation. There was nothing offered to me considering the situation I was put in. Demanded to speak with a supervisor who at first did nothing to rectify the situation. I laid into him and demanded something be done. He offered me a measly 15% discount. I have rescheduled a grooming appointment elsewhere and will never return again to this PetSmart grooming. Shameful and shame on you PetSmart grooming and PetSmart for your extremely poor, incompetent and unprofessional handling of this situation. I will gladly take my hard earned $ elsewhere. First time taking my 5 month puppy I left for two hours buying time for her to be bathed and trimmed. Then I was told my puppy cannot get her fur cut because they could not due to a small brown tick found and there could be more I was told. I felt like two hours to figure that out. I was very frustrated II felt it was more like Iit was laziness or no willl from a Conner guy . Ppor excuse and a waste of my time. After paying over $150 for my son's dwarf hamster, house, food, etc. I am very disappointed b/c the hamster expired not even a month after was purchased. I spoke with a rep there I asked how old was the hamster I purchased and she said she did not know but they buy them when they are at least 6 weeks old. I'm glad I didn't spend more. I saw 1 Dog being groomed and 1 staff member doing nothing, was told they were short handed at 3 employees. Just seems odd they don't have the 10 minutes to trim my dog's nails. Was told to go to another store. Just odd customer service and doesn't sit well with me concerning I've always got great service there. Experience with Petsmart #0154, 6932 E Hampton, Mesa AZ. 08-09-20223 We took our 2 1/2 year old Shih Tzu, Brandi, in for grooming. When we picked her up she seemed tranquilized and not normal. The next day we took her to 1st Pet Vet Center in Mesa AZ. She was diagnosed with a Herniated Disc in her spine and a Corneal Ulcer (cut) in her left eye. Over $4600.00 and 8 weeks later Brandi is almost back to normal except for a permanent blind spot in her left eye. Never again will we trust Petsmart with our pet. read more

PetSmart Stapley & Baseline. Horrible experience on 4th July at the grooming department. The staff wanted to go home and did not dry the pup. He was returned damp. The pup was returned in 20 minutes whereas they ask for 2-3 hrs for this service. Most of the services paid for could not have been performed in 20 minutes. We paid for services we did not receive. The staff closed the grooming department and left after our pup. They were in a rush and did not do the job properly. Cannot recommend PetSmart read more

My grandkids and dad went to this petsmart store to buy some fish for their aqaurium. The cashier asked about how many fish they had. Then, replied that they can not purchase their fish that they had already in a bag of water. It is not the cashiers business who buys the fish and how many they had. My grandkids did not get to buy their fish and walked out empty handed because the cashier refused to sell them the fish. I hope the manager sees this review. Either the cashier lady was just as lazy to do her job or decided to be nosey and give a reason to people not to buy fish. I will never recommend this store to anyone. It is none of anyone's business what we do with our pets that we purchase, unless we are under her thumb. This is a free country. Instead, the cashier had to put a damper on such a purchase and ruin the kids esteem. Shame on you Cashier lady!!! By the way it was only 2 or 3 days until Christmas. They wouldn't offer their own pricing on an in store purchase without showing each flavor in my basket individually on a mix and match, buy three get one free deal while standing in line with my phone. The store manager told me I should just buy it online and let them ship it for free or, make the purchase on my phone and give them three hours to fill the order. Very disappointed with this locations grooming staff. I had an appointment for my dog to be groomed today. I'll very much own that we were running about 10 minutes late. When we arrived there was an elderly couple inside standing very far apart taking up the majority of the check in area. So due to the small space my pup and I stood outside in the store. After waiting over 5 minutes in the store, since they were still talking with the ONLY person the salon area we step inside to make ourselves more known. After an additional 5 minutes an additional groomer (Carrie) comes in from the store area, greets my dog and talks with him for another few minutes. (He shakes when he's excited/ nervous.) So after us being at the store for close to 15 minutes she gets us all checked in to have to tell us that she has to talk to the groomer since we are almost (at this point) 30 minutes late. When she comes back she says the groomer refused to take us since we were late. I definitely can understand being asked to reschedule for being late but I am more upset and disappointed that there was no follow up call or email at any point to confirm if we were coming, today or this past week, since I made his appointment almost a week ago. When I explained to her we have been waiting, trying to be respectful of the couple STILL inside talking to the original staff member (April) about a making a future appointment. April states "oh it was like 2 minutes" and rolls her eyes, while STILL making this appointment for the couple. Since this was the first thing she said towards me, period since I walked in the store almost 15 minutes prior, it definitely made my blood boil a bit. You don't have to be fake to do your job, but be damn professional while your there. "Hi" "Welcome in" "Be right with you" or just calling for someone in the back to come forward to help, goes such a long way. I'm sure Carrie could see that I was a little irritated and really was trying to make something work for today for us. She was unable to but honestly I wouldn't want/ trust my dog with either April or Justin/ Connor (I called back to ask for names and was told Justin was in the salon, but his appointment was scheduled with a Connor, so I don't know if it was a call off or they use fake names) based off their actions today. read more

I love the store but will never go to the groomers there again. I specifically said his nails need to be trimmed. She, Venessa, said that she may not be able to do that. I said then I need to go somewhere else because 95% of me taking Winston to the groomers is the nail trim. So when I went to pick him up, she said she wasn't able to trim his nails. This location calls you to remind you of your appointment and they are always so nice and friendly! The haircut was half finished and nails not done but still charged full amount. Worst customer service ever!!!! We have had our dogs groomed at another location for 5 years. We moved and now are having issues at this location. We have 2 dogs and scheduled them an hour apart for grooming. When we went in today we were told we could not drop them off together as the one of their groomer was not there yet. When we explained we always drop them off together as they have separation issues. We were told it is policy we can't drop off early and they refused to take our other dog and we would have to come back in 45 min once the other groomer arrives. I am not sure what is up with this location but they promote "doing what they can for your pet" which is not true. They did not care our dogs get nervous if they are not together or the inconvenience to us. We will not be back to any pet smart ever. read more

This is a pretty complete pet store. The will let you bring your pet in and give him a treat when you check out. They have trusted name brand and high quality products. When we were there the store clerk was hard to find, but we eventually found what we were looking for. The prices are what you would expect. I have a white miniature poodle that is a handful but gets groomed by Colton. She absolutely loves him. He's been grooming her for over a yr now. I scheduled my dog for a bath and brush with a $20 add on for additional brushing/demat. Showed up for my appointment was was told right away my dog would be going home wet in certain areas because he's way too big. I looked past that and finished check in. She started inspecting him and stated since he has matting behind his ears she can't take him because they are closing 1.5 hours early. At that point you was pretty furious and asked for a manager. Howard came in and asked what the issue was and I explained I booked all of these services in advance and it seems like she's making every excuse not to take my dog (he's a Newfoundland) and she emphasized earlier he was the biggest dog she's seen. Howard and the groomer proceeded to argue that they weren't going to take my dog today. I've never had any issues at any other PetSmart! They are extremely rude and want to do the bare minimum. Another lady was checking in at the same time and she was told that they couldn't do all of her dogs services because they want to close early. She walked out just as mad. And, most importantly for us right now, a cleaning product section for training new pups! I highly recommended Nature's Miracle brand.
