No one is here and the tables are left filthy with previous dogs' hair. So gross!

The worst groomers in the entire Valley. They claim to care for your animals and I can see how much distress my dog has been through. Daphne is the absolute worst and will lie and say she bathed your dog when it's very obvious your dog has not been bathed. Save your time and money!!!!

Didn't show me any techniques. SO YOU ACTUALLY JIPPED me! Also while my mom was in the icu you charged me over $250 to keep my dog in a cage , you charged me per day. So I paid you over $500. $300 for the training and $250 for boarding my dog. You wanted payment for the boarding over the phone while I was at the hospital. Lol. In my opinion You are money hungry, that's why I wanted my dog out of your house and at my friends house. In my opinion you abused my dog and scared the living shit out of her. The videos show it. I have the videos downloaded on my COMPUTER.

Ruben, the owner and trainer was polite, friendly, and punctual. Just to emphasize how much help we needed, when I answered the door to greet him, our dog zoomed by us and out the front door, leading me on a short game of chase. Aside from this problem, we had issues with him jumping on people, pacing around the house constantly, and always getting in everyone faces when they sat down on the couch or dining table. Ruben was a total pro, he came right in and saw the issues we were having and explained everything he was going to show us and why it would be effective. Then the training began.. And within minutes the change in our dog was evident. Our dog was listening to our commands and minding what he was told. By the time the 90+ minute session was over, the dog's change in behavior was night and day, and not once during that session did Ruben look at his watch or try and wrap up prematurely. In fact he only left when he was certain we were on our way to having a well-behaved dog. This was the only place in the valley I could find that offered BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION for dogs rather than just obedience and parlor tricks. For me, that can come later, and will, but what I really needed was help with making my dog not be a nuisance to my guests and to us when we tried to relax. I can't recommend Ruben and K&B enough, and it's the best money we've spent on our new family member since we brought him home (except maybe for the hair cut and flea dip cause BOY did he stink!)

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how the incident even happened because it makes no sense given the location of his injury and the set up of the grooming table. He usually gets handled by Zaida who wasn't there today. I couldn't schedule an appointment online with her because it says all slots are unavailable so I had to call in an appointment. I trust everyone who is employed there know how to handle dogs properly and carefully. Well I get a call maybe little less than an hour after dropping him off. All that was said to me at first was there was an incident with Tyson and they are taking him to the pet clinic, Pet Doctor 911 in mcallen. I asked what happened and the employee who called me said she doesn't know. I had to literally raise my voice and demand to speak with someone else just to get an answer. You can't call someone and tell them oh we have to take you dog to the hospital but I don't know why. So finally I was told he had a cut on his paw that he got from the grooming table tether. They told me he was being put up on the table when his paw got caught in the neck tether and he got spooked and tried to jump off resulting in the tether slicing his dewclaw. I'm still confused as to how his paw would even get caught in that tether to begin with. And from the position and location of the injury it does not seem possible to me. They took him to a clinic that we've never visited ( he sees the doctors at Banfield pet Hospital since his insurance is through them). This place would not let me enter with him for the consultation with the doctor. I had to wait there in my car until they were done. Was not given a time frames. Their policy stated if you leave the vicinity they would charge you $45 fee on top of your vet bill. Worst experience for me and my pet. He had already been hurt somewhere and now he has to go into an unknown place alone. No one from petco offered an apology nor called to check on the status of my pet after the incident. I'm not even sure if they paid the clinic because once my pet was released, the technician asked me to contact the groomers which I had did an hour earlier after talking on the phone with the veterinarian. I asked if I needed to stay until they received payment but they clinic assured me they would get in contact with Petco to resolve the bill.

(Now I have to bathe). As a small business owner myself who deals with the public regularly, I asked them how often they are asked to bend their office hours (two 2 - hour time slots per day). They said "often" so I asked how they deal with it. They said said they just have to be firm or they'd never get their work done. This is true of my business as well. Please, folks, respect their time! To those who read the negative reviews and wonder whether this is a good place to keep your dog, it's wonderful just so long as you can show the owners the same respect you expect to be given personally. If you leave their thinking "these people are a**holes",..well, let's just say I'm glad you freed up a spot in the kennel for me. I love this place and I give it my highest recommendation.

This is normal behavior for her, so we didn't think anything of it. We took off to our destination and around 4:00 pm I received a phone call from Marisol, the owner. She left a voicemail saying they had a problem with Belle. I called her back and that's when she told me that Belle had escaped through a part of the fence that was not secured. She said her husband took off on foot trying to catch her but she was too far to get her. Our entire plan was ruined within minutes. We called our family to start looking for Belle. No one was able to find her. We left our hotel and made it back to our hometown around 11 at night. We didn't even stop at home and drove directly to the location in an attempt to find her. Belle was no where to be found. We were devastated and heart broken. Our dog of 7 years was gone in a blink of an eye. After a heart wrenching 24 hours, we found Belle. She had been picked up by a Good Samaritan that kept her safe at night then called the Dog pound in the morning. I was so relieved when I saw her. We lost our hotel stay, our tickets to the event we were going too and our entire vacation. All things that can be replaced. Belle is irreplaceable. Belle is back home which is all that matters. However, I wanted to write this review for others to be aware that this might happen if you leave your fur babies in their care. I still don't know how everything happened and I choose not to investigate. But at least you have been informed.

I was viciously bitten and notified Mr. Chong of the Jindo Ranch about it. He told me it was my fault and that I wasn't handling him right. I believed him at the time because I believe most incidents with dogs are due to human handling error. Also, because the dog was only 10 weeks old, my wife and I decided to put all our efforts into training him and raising him right. We enrolled him in puppy classes and later on with professional trainers to train him to be obedient. We succeeded at raising an extremely obedient dog, but the aggression and extreme fearfulness never went away and has only gotten worse. Our adult dog has bitten my wife viciously two times and sent her to the hospital. He has bitten me one additional time. There was a level of mental instability that we noticed in our Jindo early on but figured it must have just been a puppy thing and that he will grow out of it. Again, it has only gotten worse. For example, we would cough and that would put him into his fearful state and he would run to the corner and start urinating. This is a weekly occurrence, he's now one and a half years old. We have been very loving and in tune to our dog's needs. He goes on 4 walks a day, and we make sure to let roam freely off-leash at least once a week at dog parks, the beach, or on hiking trails. We feed him only premium dog food since puppyhood. He's fully up to date on all vaccinations. We take him on family trips, brush him twice a week, and bath him once a month. Yet none of this has helped to curb the aggression and fearfulness. Every time we had an incident, we blamed ourselves. It's gotten to the point where we've had to put him on anti-anxiety medication prescribed by our vet, who told us point blank that we should put him down. That was heartbreaking to hear and I did not want to do that, so we are trying the anxiety medicine. Both our vet and our trainers have told us that dogs that come from poor breeding will have aggression and fearful characteristics. Good breeders will cull out the aggressive or extremely fearful puppies. Jindo Ranch does NOT do this at all, instead choosing to sell any and all puppies they have. This isn't to say that all his dogs are aggressive or fearful. I'm sure he has nice dogs too, which was what initially attracted us. However, a breeder who continues to non-selectively breed aggressive and fearful dogs are a recipe for disaster for the ultimate dog owners while Mr. Chong walks away with the cash and plausible deniability that the dogs grew to be aggressive due to owner mistreatment. This is what he's doing to us, gaslighting and blaming us. I should have been more skeptical when he only accepted cash and advertised a website that had nothing to do with dogs at all. The way someone does anything is often the way they do everything, and the shady way he handles business is also the shady way he breeds his dogs. I reached out to Mr. Chong from the Jindo Ranch and sent him the photos of all the bites from our dog. I have also told him several times that our dog seems mentally unstable. I finally told him that we believe our dog was poorly bred, and that we would like a refund because we will have to give him up. He gave me all sorts of excuses, including that his wife had recently died. It's sad if it's true, but why bring that into the discussion at all? Then he said he could not return my money right away, but will do so in 1 week. I took his word for it, but it has now been 2 weeks and he has not returned any of my calls or text messages. I went on the Jindo Ranch facebook page to leave a review of my experience with him along with several photos of the dog bites, and instead of returning my calls when he saw that, he instead chose to "Like" my bloody photos. This is the type of person you're dealing with. One that will say anything to make a sale and then blame you and ignore you when things go awry. It has been an incredibly distressing year where we tried everything to raise our dog right and blamed ourselves for our own suffering. People have gotten nice dogs from Jindo Ranch, and I truly envy those people. But others have also gotten human- and animal-aggressive dogs from Jindo Ranch. It's a gamble when getting a dog from Jindo Ranch, and when you lose, it is painful and heartbreaking. I wish I had known this before, but I hope my experience will help future buyers become more aware.
