Michael is a vastly experienced dog trainer, what is exceptional he immediately accessed our pup and accurately pinpointed the behavioral problem, and devised a game plan. The reason behind this, Michael is also a breeder who specializes in large breed dogs and is quite knowledgeable with AKC and bloodlines. His approach to training is unconventional in the sense yes focuses on the basic commands but goes beyond he wants to address concerns inside and outside the house issues. Besides all this, he truly loves what he does and is always conscious of our pup's needs including what collar and leash are effective and safe. What's miraculous is with only a handful of lessons Michael created stations (areas) where our "Bogart" stays even though there may be many distractions in our home. Moreover, he'll provide you with effective tips. So, if you are looking for an effective trainer who is passionate, knowledgeable, and results are a few lessons away - then Michael is the man for the job!

They are sticklers with their rules and regulations, but that's exactly what makes this place so pristine... their meticulous attention to this facility's sanitation really stands out. My fur babies are family members to me, so their safety and health is of utmost importance. I also especially love that they separate large dogs and small dogs... this is very important to me because my little ones are very intimidated by the larger dogs. Lastly, the ability for me to sign in to a website thad shows 24 hour surveillance of the dog play areas inside and out just adds another layer of security and peace of mind for me so that even when I'm away traveling, I can always peek in on my fur babies to see how they are doing... I LOVE THAT!

I panicked and called them and they responded with "well he bulldozes through doors so maybe his ear got snagged." Cool so y'all have barbed wire doorways? Nah. I've had issues with this East Cobb location for years tbh, whether it was the front desk lying to my face about connecting to my vet, or taking him to their groomer next door, asking for a full groom including deshedding, only to be charged 140 dollars for what seemed like a quick bath and spritz of cologne and zero deshedding treatment. I'm over it. I'll never take my dog here again.

We can now take Moose off leash comfortably knowing she will come when called, sit and stay even in busy environments. I feel like we are happier humans and she is a happier dog thanks to Sam's help. The training style used was also based on rewarding Moose with play rather than food or negative reinforcement, which I really appreciate and didn't know much about before. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Highly recommend Dog Wizard and Sam!

Probably my highest review ever for a service I haven't used yet. hear me out…read more I just rescued a Rat Terrier puppy called Raffi from Texas, who showed signs of abuse and trauma upon arrival. I've parented/known many rescues in the past and never seen anything like the fear she exhibited. fully freaked out, I shot a message to Atlanta Dog Wizard with an SOS to help. Kat quickly got in touch and we had about a 30-min call, which provided me with INVALUABLE insight into my urgent situation. That information she gave me--keep in mind, I had paid no money for her advice or training to this point--gave me some practices I could use, right away, to make Raffi feel more comfortable. I still might officially use Atlanta Dog Wizard in the future, if Kat is any indication how the company does things. She has a passion for rescues and turning around challenging situations and making dogs (and humans) shine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I never do reviews, but I feel like this one is deserved…read more Our dog had a medical emergency while my husband and I were both out of town--in different states, no less. Thankfully, he was staying at Puppy Haven. The staff noticed right away that something wasn't right. They called me immediately, stayed calm, explained what they were seeing, and reassured me that they were taking action. They quickly transported him to a local urgent care vet they knew and trusted (who was also amazing). What really blew me away was what happened next. An employee stayed with him at the vet to hear the diagnosis, learned that he needed to be transferred to an emergency hospital for surgery, and then personally took him there as well. Since then, they've checked in multiple times to see how he's doing. It was honestly a pretty awful situation, but Puppy Haven made it so much better. Their attentiveness, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for one of their dogs is something I'll never forget. We are incredibly grateful and thankful to have a place where we can leave our pups and truly not have to worry. We took our puppy to Atlanta Dog Trainer for the group obedience beginner training classes…read more There were 5 weeks of training classes (4 with the dog, the first with just the handlers). The primary instruction was getting your dog's attention, the commands - sit, down, off, leave it, drop it and loose leash walking. Overall I was pleased with the overall instruction and experience. They did a good job of making sure the dogs didn't invade another dog's space. Homework was sent out each week to work on in sessions with the dog and this helped prepare for the next week's session. Would recommend.
