Petsmart is located off the 287 and Mouser Road, where they provide full dog grooming services, a pet hotel, treats, food, and accessories! I have been to this location twice for my furry friend to get groomed, and it just doesn't get any better than this! I try and get her groomed quarterly along with her teeth brushed, nails trimmed, and filed. I set up my appointment by the internet, where I logged onto the user-friendly website and filled out the questionnaire, and selected what I would like to be done on a la carte style menu. I went ahead and chose a full bath and haircut with the FURminator that takes away the loose hair strainds on dogs that shed and is very common in Pembroke Welsh Corgis. If you are a first-time guest bringing in your beloved pet, you have the option of uploading their rabbies vaccine online or simply bringing it in when you get service because this is a requirement for service. Along the front of Petsmart, there is ample parking provided due to being in a large shopping center. They even have a grass filled area with doggy bags provided in the front to let your friend go to the restroom before or after service. As I walked her in and headed back to where the grooming salon was, I was greeted promptly and was told they would give me a call in about 3 hours when she is done. In roughly 3 hours, the service was complete, and I headed back to pick her up, and she was looking magnificent! She smelt good, and her fur was nicely trimmed as well as her nails. They always do such a wonderful job getting her to look and smell her best even though she might not always like it, but it's what is best for her. Overall, Petsmart does such a wonderful job on grooming services, and I would have it no other way. That's why I take her to get groomed every 3 months to keep her beauty and hygiene at her best. The staff is very professional and they definitely have a passion for animals and it shows! The prices are fair, and the quality is impeccable! I placed a pickup order for an item that was listed as in stock at this Mansfield location, placed my order at 7:44am, waited, waited, waited. Got another email at 10:33am that THEY had canceled my order, so I check online again to make sure it says in stock and already had to run out nearby so I stopped by to ask what happened as there was zero explanation. This older lady with glasses asked about the product, I said what it was, she asked if it was at their store and if I was "sure", I said yes and it said in stock currently, she wanted to then tell me "yeah well that doesn't always mean it is" then she goes to the back to look, and I can hear her saying "I guess whoever didn't know where to find it" so I asked "is there a reason my order was canceled then?" And she replied "no maybe they couldn't find it" and I was like "mmm ok" clearly unimpressed with her response but nonetheless going to check out. She then wanted to come back over to me asking "are you sure we canceled it?" And I said "yes, that's what the email says, yall canceled my order, I didnt" and she asked if I was sure it was for that location to which I said yes, this is the only Mansfield location, the other closest one is in Arlington. Then she wanted to say Dan or Dave or whoever wouldn't cancel orders because he hates canceling them, so I said "well someone did!" Then they also wanted to charge me $60 when it was on sale for $30. First time at this PetSmart and I came out of my way to get my pups 1st grooming because of the good reviews. I made my appointment online and it was simple and easy. Was reminded to bring in his vaccination records and was told Ashley would groom him and to allow 2-3 hours! ("Wow, I don't even take that long to get "groomed"?!?) I entered a huge clean and neat store. We walked to the back to the salon and was greeted by Bruce. He was very informative and friendly and took no time for my puppy to warm up to him. He checked Chances teeth, ears, etc. and told me it wouldn't take more than an hour. He confirmed my phone number and I liked that I could see the staff trimming and grooming first hand. His appointment was at 12:30 and Bruce called me at 2pm. When I walked in a young lady greeted me and held a puppy in her arms and said he was ready?! I immediately said, "That's not my puppy!" She confirmed it was and after I looked close I realized it was him. He looked so different. No curls?! She explained to me the future options I should book and also recommended the type of brush I should use. Very informative and loving to my puppy. I will definitely be back. Everyone was so sweet! I recently got my puppy, she has had no haircut her whole life at the place we got her so we booked her an appointment here at Petsmart, NOT ONLY did the lady Michelle was rough with my dog she didn't handle her with care... When we came to get her she was shaking and scared. Later on, she got dirty and I groomed her myself she was really afraid of the process we never had problems with grooming she loved it but she was terrified and shaking. We took her back the next day to get a touch-up because her haircut was extremely crooked, and she also cut off my dog's whiskers and she was holding her hard with her bare hands on her face! Brought in my newly adopted 5-month old golden-doodle, which I just purchased from a local breeder about 2 weeks ago, in for his first grooming and according to PetSmarts website you must bring in proof of a rabies shot, which I just had done a week prior when I took him in for his first vet visit. The vet even gave him a "I got my rabies shot tag" for his collar. My golden-doodle is a homebody and doesn't really like to leave the house, so it was quite the negotiation just to get him out the door. Once I arrived at PetSmart I was told by Michele in the grooming room that I needed paperwork with dates on it and the tag was not good enough... It was absolutely ridiculous to turn a little puppy away for grooming because of some hysterical nonsense - reminded me of that Covid insanity. There were no cases of dogs with rabies reported in Tarrant County last year. I will never shop PetSmart again. read more

I was quite disappointed when I went into Pet Smart in Mansfield Texas and literally no one wore a mask that worked there including the manager. When I asked to locate a product I was assisted by a 20-ish-year-old male unmasked who did not maintain social distancing and frankly made me feel quite unsafe. I think it should be a store policy that everyone has to wear a mask to protect the elderly population from coronavirus. It is feasible that every store employee is an asymptomatic carrier and therefore puts every senior at risk . This was my first time to use their pet grooming salon. I was cordially created when I walked into the grooming salon. You could see the young ladies working there enjoyed heir job and really cared well for the pets. It was good to see. They were already grooming 2 other pets when I arrived as a walk-in due to my pet needing nail trim and grinding done. I am sorry I did not get the tech's name. They were all professional and good with the pets and it put me at ease to see them handling pets like that. They did a great job with my furbaby's nails. I was very impressed. I will definitely go back there for any future trimming and pet salon needs. Seems like I can't brag enough about them! Two thumbs up! Great job! Beth is VERY GOOD with my fur baby. I had a great experience at Petsmart in Mansfield, TX. A couple of employees were kind enough to give me advice on how to introduce my dog to my boyfriend's cat because they were going to be living together soon. I didn't think it was possible to get them to like one another, but I followed the advice of the Petsmart employees and by the time we moved everyone into the same house, the dog and cat were the best of friends. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was in town for an event, so I checked my dog in for daycamp. I would have liked to see him interact with the other animals, but they were taking forever to get him in the room so I had to leave and when I got back daycamp had ended (I assume they had him in a kennel in the back for dinner or something). I took my dog here for his first haircut last week, when I picked him up he looked almost the same. Nails were grind and a bath no actual haircut. I was not happy, I spoke with Tammy the manager and she was super nice! All the associates were really nice and professional. Long story short Tammy gave my fur baby his first haircut and it's perfect! I am very happy with their customer service and now that my fur baby looks how he was supposed to the first time. This location is pretty good as far as PetSmart stores go. At least they have bagged crickets ready to go so you can just pick up a bag and head to the register. At many locations it's a 20 minute ordeal to find someone and get them to bag up some crickets for you, so I appreciate that this location has someone working there with a little foresight. I've never had a problem with any of their products. The store is well lit, clean and well stocked. The fish tanks seem to stay clean and don't have a lot of dead fish in them like some other locations. They're also pretty good about calling for someone else to open another register when it gets backed up, although it seems the call isn't always answered. I know it's a corporate decision and not something unique to this store, but the PetSmart checkout system is onerous and inefficient. I'm not there to play 20 questions with the credit card machine, I want to pay and leave. I wish there were some kind of express checkout. read more

The doggy daycare facility is a joke in Mansfield. I took my pup here a couple times and they ruined my Petsmart experience for life. Not only were the associates rude, they didn't seem to want to be there. If I'm paying you to take care of my fur baby, I expect you to at least PRETEND you want to be there looking after her. I let the staff know that my puppy had recently been attacked by another dog at the park and, because of that experience, she's scared of other dogs upon meeting them. My pup just watched from the sidelines the majority of the first day. The second day, I got a phone call within MINUTES of me dropping her off that there was a scuffle between her and another dog. I asked what provoked the fight... they wouldn't tell me. I asked what breed the other dog was... and they couldn't tell me. They said, "to protect the identity of the other dog involved, we are not allowed to give any details of the matter. You can pay to have her stay in a 'pet hotel' room today if you'd like". So... you're telling me that I can pay to have my high energy puppy stay in a small, glass box all day and you WON'T give me any details about what happened to put her there?!.... YEAH FREAKING RIGHT!! So let's go back to the original conversation and tell me why can't you give me any details on what happened with my dog?! I was/am livid. I made my husband go inside to pick her up because I would have ripped that associate a new one. If you have a high energy dog, I don't suggest taking your dog here. EVER. They don't get ANY outside time. If you DO bring a high energy dog here, you're wasting your money and you're doing a disservice to your fur baby. Also, all the pictures provided show the associates holding and playing with the dogs. I've never ONCE seen them play or let alone TOUCH the dogs. No stars for the Petsmart Hotel in Mansfield TX. My dog has food allergies so I brought his food for the stay with specific instructions. 2 days into my trip, I called to check on my baby and they said he was not eating so they gave him some canned dog food. I was LIVID! They did not call and ask my permission and I am sure they did not read his file. The day I go in to pick him up they let me pay the bill for his stay then the bomb drops. The girl handed me my receipt then says "OH yeah he has a rash" I said what kind of rash? I checked my dog out and I see a very bad skin irritation on his scrotum and other places. Very noticeable and very inflammed. I wanted to know immediately WHY I WAS NOT CALLED? Why did you wait until I picked him up and paid before you mentioned it and WHY did this happen? They could not tell me why or how. We went directly over to the store vet to get checked out at Petsmart expense and he left with 4 prescriptions. I will never step foot in this store or any Petsmart again. I do not recommend anyone who loves you fur baby to let them stay at the hotel. They said he was walked 4 times a day, but could not show me proof or documentation of these so called walks. They stick them in the cage (and I paid extra for a suite for my baby) and leave them. I have contacted the store manager and the corporate office on this matter. read more

I have been to this PetSmart many times before and have never had any issues. Except for this visit. My family and I went to purchase a few things for the new, now healthy, puppy we just adopted (or should I say a puppy whose life we saved from euthanasia due to a life threatening contagious virus.) One of the items purchased was a prong collar. If you look up the definition of this collar it reads, a prong collar is a training collar used to teach dogs leash manners. Prong collars are different from choke collars in that they use prongs rather than metal links so when the collar contracts the loose skin around a dog's neck is pinched in the process. I have never used one before (I was planning to use the harness at home.) In case the harness wouldn't do the job, I was going to use this. Everyone in the world has their own opinion on Pit Bulls. My opinion is, any breed of dog can be aggressive but it is how the dog is treated and what it is exposed to by its owner that results in bad behavior. The purpose of this purchase, is to teach a very playful not leashed trained puppy not to pull or lunge while on leash so other people and pets aren't afraid of her. At the register, I asked the cashier Sarah where to attach the leash at and how you unhook it to put around the dog's neck. Sarah was unsure so she called a manager over to explain. The first manager, Elizabeth, comes to the register with squinty eyes and a confused look on her face. She asks me what breed of dog am I using this on? I respond a pit bull. She then asks what age she was and why I thought it was a good idea to use this collar. Before I could answer her, she gives me her unwanted opinion. She says to me "you want to train a puppy with anger, hate, and pain?" I was shocked and thought to myself, this lady thinks I'm a heartless bitch and has no clue what I do for a living or the fact that I save lives every day and educate the community not JUDGE them. I was livid. I responded, very pissed off, that I did not ask for her opinion, on how I was treating my dog, I simply asked how to use the collar. Now, if she would have explained how to use it first, then followed with you know this isn't a highly recommended training tool, do you mind if I show you other items we have on the shelf before you purchase this one, my response would have been different and much nicer. Elizabeth never showed me how to use the collar. I told her I would ask someone else and to give it to the cashier so I could check out. I spent $90 this visit. The cashier herself couldn't even talk after this incident. I asked if that really was a manager? She quietly responded yes. I said how was that a way to respond to a customer? Does she not realize this is an item on the shelf, that even on the tag says for "training purposes." Is this how she would respond to everyone this way that buys one? Let me judge you for a second, Elizabeth. My opinion is, as a manager you should be able to control yourself with customers, keep your opinions to yourself and pick and choose your battles. My opinion is, you could use a prong collar yourself. Also, question? I purchased a toy duck. Would you have rather I bought a beaver?! Hope you get that joke. My family and I left the store very pissed off for how she treated us in front of numerous other customers. I thought to myself, I just spent all this money and I'm not going to leave without an answer. I went back inside to request another manager. The cashier pointed to a lady standing next to Elizabeth, and Sarah, at the previous register I was just at. She said that is Sam, she can help you. Sam came over and once again I asked to please show me how to use this collar. Her first response was the same as Elizabeth's. "I don't think you should use this collar." I looked at her and I said I just spoke to the other manager about this I'm not asking you your opinion. I'm simply asking you how to use a product you sell on your shelves at the store you manage. Sam showed me how to use the product and I thanked her but went on to say judging your customers is not what you are here for. Answering our questions and helping with items you sell is what your job is and too keep the customers happy. Neither one of the managers this night did that at all. Sam's final response to me was, "Okay good luck with that ma'am." She then rolled her eyes and walked off. To both of you, I hope you learn from this and will receive proper education on customer service. I really hope future customers will be treated better than I was today. I hope no one else will have to defend themselves when it comes to purchasing items at this store. read more
